  1. As you will see I have apologised for my Faux Paus.
  2. Ian Vigurs was our most promising youngster and one of a select group of ICT players that can pass the ball. He arrived at Elgin at 15 y/o played about 20 odd games then signed for ICT and in the 4 years since then has played 20 odd games, which part of promising were you thinking of, 6 years and an everage of 8 starts a season? Everyone has jumped on the band wagon of Vigurs but no one seems to have given a second thought to Zander, same age only been on the pro books 3 years played twice as many times for Elgin and over twice as many for ICT has also chipped in with more goals, and while at Elgin got nominated for 3rd Div Player of Year. He didn't get a chance with Butcher due to injury (think he had an Op) and also released, I think this is who we should be moaning about losing rather than Vigurs or Wood but of course Zander doesn't have his mate on here to push through his personal agenda(CaleyP)!!
  3. What would you call it then?
  4. what drivel would that be mike??????????????????????????????????????????? CaleyP, I think it started in your first post about "the only quality player we have" and generally followed on to your rants about everyone else not being up to his calibre, ripping up the 3rd Div, management being wrong, offered a pittance of a wage, slating Dougie "1st Div" Imrie and generally being aggressive with anyone who questioned that it could have been the right decision. You then proceed to tell us all that most SPL teams, and a Europa team would be/are after him, but then to get a good season under his belt he signs for County, that's when the whole credability went, you were back peddling to cover youself. So basically, for me most of what you said was drivel!
  5. Harry, I thought he was very unfortunate that he didn't get a chance when Butcher came in, I'm sure they would have got an account of all the boys but there must have been a reason for him not to get a look in. I thought he had a lovely left peg and given a consistent run of games I'm sure he would have got up to speed with the SPL but like so many that was a luxury we could or would not afford them. To be honest it was the drivel coming from CaleyP that annoyed me more than anything else and because of that it made me sound like I was against Vigurs but I would like us to give youth a chance and if like most clubs we become a feeder for bigger sides then we should be able to recoup a decent profit from their sale, it's how a lot of teams survive. As you said if plan B is to get straight back up then surely there is a plan C to keep us there. We need at least some stability and a plan in place for the next 3 - 5 years but with the management team only here for another season it looks like a quick fix and if it doesn't work out they walk away and we're left to pick up the pieces. I hope it doesn't turn out that way but by the end of next season we could have the majority of players out of contract and not have a management team and who ever comes in has to start from the very bottom.
  6. Sorted, I wish them both all the best for their future in the game, whether they "come back to haunt us" I'm not so bothered, I've seen it so many times before. As you say we might in the future look to recruit their services again, but when they have had the experience and the playing time that they wouldn't have got at ICT. As for the icon at the end of my last post, that was a mistake I thought it just waved so I put it on and it was only when I checked back that I saw the finger, so my apologies, should really preview before I send!
  7. How do you figure that? We usually cherrypick your best players and you get our cast offs! So can't see the difference here.
  8. CaleyP did you not slate Dougie "1st division" Imrie and now your great white hope has signed for a bottom 3 1st Division side? I thought you had him signed for half the SPL and now he's signed for a possible relegation team, maybe not the star you had him down for? well he turned down a move to a team in the UEFA cup next year as he wants to get a good season behind him....he accepted less than quarter of the wage this team were offering him including flights for him and his family every month to sign for county, so maybe he wants to prove something in scotland first. hows that mike, has imrie had an offer like that??? also mike including the team from over sea's he had SPL clubs interested, he just thought he'd have a greater chance of a game next season with a 1st division club so he can get experience behind him. anything else you would like to know mike?? Yes, if he has had these great offers and he's turned them down and he's signing for a lot less, is he getting more than he was at ICT from County, because I'm sure you said he needed to live on more than minimum wage? If he was as confident in his own ability as you were, surely he would have been better taking an offer from a bigger club than County, or does that where he think's his level is to be sure of a game? Your painting a picture of a young boy with the world at his feet but he joins County :021: , looks to me like that's the attitude that Butcher saw and kicked his ass out the door! :allhail:
  9. CaleyP did you not slate Dougie "1st division" Imrie and now your great white hope has signed for a bottom 3 1st Division side? I thought you had him signed for half the SPL and now he's signed for a possible relegation team, maybe not the star you had him down for?
  10. We had a Commercial Manager even in the Highland League, so don't see why they won't have one now. The Youth Development as far as I was aware was self funding, so why would you need to get rid of that. Not sure about CE or what he does and not sure when this was introduced, so don't know if we need it? I had heard DoF was going back to unpaid, so again do you need to get rid of this? There will not be the same amount of stewards and police at SFL games, so should be a saving there. The club must look at every cut on there own merits and whether it would be justified, but I think we should leave it to those who know to do the right thing!
  11. Is that the same amateur muppets who got us to the SPL in 10 years? Got the stands built for SPL and kept us out of debt and in a position where relegation will not bury us? It's easy to point the finger when it goes wrong but you seem to forget that for a club so young we have surpassed anyone's wildest dreams to have even made the SPL. You seem to love to gloat about muppets making mistakes but for me I can only see one muppet on here!
  12. Everyone has the right to their opinion, no matter what it might be. If no one replied to the original it would have died and there would not be any need to resort to abuse. Best not even to add any more.
  13. Do you think if Brew had stayed Blackie would have got a game never mind Player of the Year? He had totally lost the dressing room and unfortunately he thought he was bigger than the players and that's why he had to go. He wouldn't have lost 4 at Falkirk, no it was 5 at half time at Greyskull! Not sure if this is actually Brew or Malky but let it go you were actually given too much time!
  14. Higdon got in front of Pavels, he was wrong side, in the 4-0 game the 2nd goal was a pathetic attempt by Pavels to cut out the through ball and the 3rd he got caught wrong side and was slow to react, no surprise that he was the one to get hooked when Esson went off, don't think he started again after that until the last game! 3/4th choice from Latvian league, I wonder why?
  15. That doesn't bode well for Grant, he always opted for 14!!
  16. I will be happy to contribute but how will it work if you only have 1 - 11? I'm sure it must have worked before SPL but if you could explain it would help?
  17. I would ask you against Falkirk who would you put the blame on for their winning goal? In the 4 - 0 game who cost us the 2nd & 3rd goal which then contributed to the keeper being sent off, as he had to concede a penalty?
  18. How long do you think it would take them to make those decisions? Watching them day in day out, it shouldn't take them very long to make an assessment and I'm pretty sure he laid it on the line for them what he expected, so if players couldn't react to that, then there would not be a place for them. You do it on the training ground you get a chance, that must of been the way he would have approached it, so why would pre season be any different? They had an opportunity to show the new manager what they could do, they must have had a clean slate and if they didn't produce they have no one to blame but themselves.
  19. Do you not think that these decisions would have been planned if we dropped out of the SPL, they must have been assessing everyone at the club to see who fitted into their plans and who didn't? I think he would have had to keep those under contract if they did not want to leave. The players who did not get a contract obviously didn't deserve one in their opinion, and their can't be many on here who can say that they have seen each training session to disagree. I had heard that Vigars was so laid back he could have been horizontal, so maybe didn't tick the right boxes. IMO Pavels wasn't the greatest thing since slice bread and that's why he couldn't get a game at the end and possibly why he couldn't get a game with his home team. Give them time to build a team and then slate them if it goes wrong, being negative without seeing what happens seems to be the norm for some on here but I think he knows what's needed to get results and if he can do that then I'm sure you'll find something else to moan about.
  20. He's here he's there he's a feckin BOMBSCARE Djembi Zadi Djembi Zadi
  21. If everything goes our way this weekend, I would like to hear to team coming to the tune from the Great Escape because that would be exactly what we did!
  22. Would agree with most of your smiley's, for me Foran was MOM by a country mile, from start to finish. Imrie only came to life each side of half time, up to him setting up the first he seemed to be like a petulant child shaking his head if it didn't go his way, pointing the finger at others for bad passes but didn't really contribute anything positive himself, after he scored he had another couple of chances from tight angle but chose to shoot rather than put it across goal(same as his chance against Hamilton). Thought with Foran closing down opposition defence at every opportunity Imrie and Morias should have helped him out by closing out the 2nd man. Morias looks better each game and took his goal really well. Difficult game for midfield seemed too willing to get rid of it quick than keep possession but could have been due to the pitch. Defence was pretty much effective in general play but seem to switch off at set pieces, the goals we lost showed that. Overall probably dissapointed that we couldn't hold onto the lead, was possibly best time to play them as none of their players wanted to get involved with any rough stuff due to losing Europa cup place, except Climpl when he came on, blatently pushed Grant in chest and when he complained to ref he got booked and free kick against him, would have loved to have heard what he did say to the ref!
  23. Is this a hypothetical penalty? Why did you pick on poor Rosscoe, he may have sleepless nights over giving away a penalty in the last game of the season. Remember the last penalty was given away by Esson, so if Ike gave one away would it not be better to have Esson on the bench to replace Ike and save the day!!! It's a bit like if ma granny had baws, she'd be my grandad.
  24. With Pavels coming into the team at a very difficult time and doing very well, what has happened that now he doesn't get the automatic starting place that the majority on here would assume? Now that he hasn't started for the last few games and they have taken Ross from his familiar role and put him in the centre, do you think they will even contemplate renewing Pavels contract?
