Hmm.  Don't think you have extinguished the fire.  I seem to recall that at the Q&A evening earlier in the season, Danny MacDonald  talked about how, what with the Stadium being so close to the Longman, he popped into 2 or 3 business to introduce himself.  The message he got was that businesses were surprised that nobody from the club had been in touch before and that there was a willingness to work with the club if asked to.  I assume he is now picking up on that in his new role.  I would agree with you that it is unlikely  the club will not have followed through with existing sponsors, but Danny's remarks would seem to be an admission from the club itself that there is untapped potential and this has been a bit of a neglected area in the past.

I wonder if he has visited any of the Macgregors business in the Longman to see if they would support their local football club

Not sure the following really belongs in here but it almost falls under the same topic so I'll lob it in anyway...

We have a board that tells drivers on the A9 when the next home game is but is this not in the wrong place? Currently only traffic coming off the bridge will see it (maybe going on as well I can't remember) and I was wondering yesterday if a similar board on the A82 approach would be a better location? More likely to hit Inverness folk that way and therefore potential ICT fans. Those coming over the bridge probably already have a team you'd imagine.

Rig that is to try and convert the County supporters coming into Inverness

I was surprised to see Vigurs captain the team today. I am not a fan of his but think today summed him up perfectly.

Bottling out of tackles, screaming and swearing at team mates, then of course disappearing completely in the 2nd half.  No idea what Robertson sees in him at all.

Very true Bronson and it was the same last week with Warren no leadership on the park!

Wernick have it for sale if you want it as a souvenir!!

I would love to put it in my drive with a Dundee United supporter next door, a Dundee supporter and a Ross County supporter across the road  I better check with Row S if I will need planning permission

Just need to get rid of the burger van, car wash and Thrifty car/van hire parking and the place will look more like a football stadium again.

I would assume that the club will be making some money from these businesses just now.

Can anyone confirm the players had their DW membership revoked in favour of an Aquadome membership? It's surely a mistake if true, who would ever want to train there as a "professional"?

Do I detect a touch of snobbery there? Does it matter where you do your fitness training?

Robertson has been thrown in at the deep end here. He has been handed down the remains of our squad from a poor season under Foran. He has little or no budget and yet we expect him to work miracles. That's not going to happen. Granted some of the signings are poor. But what did you really expect. If you pay peanuts you get monkeys. None of these signings would have been good enough to sustain us in the top division. Let's be clear here, we/I am talking about Donaldson, Elsdon, Chalmers, Oakley, Susan, Cooper. There's probably more, but off the top of my head, that's the ones who stand out. Ridgers has been getting a lot of stick, and rightly so, but a lot of his problems are the guys immediately in front of him. Robbo has to play guys who are no longer at the top of their game and who are merely going through the motions. David Raven and Gary Warren have seen better days, Brad Mckay is a permanent bombscare. Tremarco has been hindered by injuries and is exempt. Jake Mulraney has been hugely disappointing and it all points to an attitude issue. Liam Polworth is finally showing some form if played in the right place and Iain Vigurs is a bit of a luxury that has plenty of class but little determination or leadership. Baird is unlikely to be a top striker, as has been proven over the years although he could be a useful foil.

For me only Trafford, Polworth, Tremarco and Bell are worth using. Owain Fon Williams if he can get his head in the right place, the same goes for Vigurs. The rest are deluded.

So, blame Robbo if you believe that's where the problem lies. I believe it is much deeper rooted than that and if the board will not back him with a few bob, then he might as well walk away before his CV is tarnished by these guys loitering without intent and masquerading as footballers.

I won't be sticking any knives into Robbo just yet, but without some backing then he will eventually go the same way as McIntyre, Foran, Houston..........

This was a jobs for the boys appointment and an ethos that has hung around the club like a bad smell for far too long.

You are right Renegade I just hope that with new appointments to the board will start to see a change of direction at the club but it will be a slow process.

Meekings turned down a deal in November or around then saying he wanted to concentrate on his football or something like that which is typically code for I'm leaving and waiting to see who comes in for me. He then got injured and didn't play any games in the first half of 2017 for ICT. Then, after relegation, instead of offering the guy a deal based on the best we could offer, just in case he might have hung around, we, erm, released him and Meekings found out via Twitter, through an Inverness Courier journalist. This obviously went down like a lead balloon with Meekings who wasn't aware that he was getting released and he subsequently signed for Dundee after training with them for several weeks.

Even injured and with one leg he's still better than every single defender we have. Combined.

Meekings was on over £2 k a week it might be that due to his injuries he was offered less when he turned it down.  If we had signed him again he would have to play with one leg as I believe he is injured again!

This all begs the question about the role of our Directors in the last two years. Are they deliberately trying to get us back to part time football to keep the overheads down to a more manageable level?

I used to be so proud of the fact that we had kept on improving year on year after being admitted to the Scottish Senior Leagues. Now it's just hugely embarrassing to see how far we have fallen since we won the SFA Cup.

Time for Robbo to be binned along with his poor signings before we become even more of a laughing stock.

And where is the money going to come from to replace them?
