Agreed, but what would you class as a half reasonable fee? Given that he is probably on too high a wage for us now that and we have basically announced that we want rid of him, we aren't going to get much. £25,000?

You may well be right but I would be looking for closer to six figures.

I think Yngwie will be much nearer the mark being one of the largest earners I don't think we can afford to keep him!  John Robertson stated on signing John Baird he was here to play for the club not the money

Tomorrow's P&J says Shearer was told of his departure by voicemail.  It also includes his own quotes confirming it.  Poor show from Caley Thistle.

Renegade you are being an alarmist  I will wait for my paper to drop through the letterbox before saying anything

maybe this will encourage the alarmists to use rumour mill in future:-

I only quoted from the paper copy of the P & J this morning so unable to post a link!  :oops:They may well have the wrong information but were the club slow in issuing a statement?

It'll be interesting to see how Robbo's tactics are this season.  I recollect last time he seemed to move away from Paterson's 3-5-2 and went 4-3-3 (with three strikers) and at times 4-4-2.  We were quite a direct side as I recall (and obviously having Bobby Mann pinging the ball out from the back was a big bonus).

That sounds even better having Bobby Mann back

I am looking forward to the style of football Robbo will bring. I think our coaching team could have a nice balance about it and don't forget he could also call on Charlie Christie and Duncan Shearer. We have a lot of experience at the club and I think Robbo will benefit from it.

Shearer has gone was told in an email according to th P & J today

Much is being made of the fact that Robbo has not managed in many years, but he has not been out of the game working within the Hearts set up and I would prefer him to Sheerin who again has not managed for a few years. Robbo will know of some good youngsters who I am sure he will probably bring in as well as some experienced players, and I think his name and stature in the game is more likely to attract players than that of Sheerin ( I have nothing against him)

Many going on about the cheap option but remember our financial situation do you want to have what we cannot afford and finish up without a club, and the only way we can help that is to get out and support the club and yes most people on this Forum do that , but where are the missing thousands that can attend cup finals!!!! maybe we should be encouraging them to come along

So lets all get behind Robbo and get the team back to the Premier League where we belong

I'm with you on this Biggin. :ictscarf:

Btw, what a plonker Scott Brown is.  Absolutely needless yellow within 3 minutes.  I've always disliked him as an opponent of ICT, and even playing for Scotland, I can't 'take to him'. Absolute shyte imo.

Spot on with that one

IBM who has been interviewed so far? I've only heard Butcher...

I heard Butcher, Danny Lennon & Jimmy Calderwood but that might not be right!

Would really like to know how much Foran and Cameron walked away with for their 11 months of car crash management. Maybe nothing and they did the honourable thing, but as taken for granted supporters it would be nice to know our Season Ticket money is going direct to the Club and not being used to subsidise pay offs.

Give it a rest the club will never release details of any personal payoff!

It's at times like this that I wish football had something like the Representation of the People Act which operates to regulate comment on election matters and will, for instance, ban all political discussion on polling day. Random names of managerial "candidates" simply fly around the media like machine gun bullets and you do have to wonder about the basis on which they appear? Is the regular appearance of such and such a name based on any substance at all or is it all just part of a silly game that media play at times like this? Over many years, I've lost count of the number of club directors and chairmen who have told me about the waves of boardroom hilarity created by "revelations" such as "Johnny Smith is thought to be a contender". The principle seems to be that if you throw enough names about you may get lucky and be able to claim "you heard it here first folks". Nobody, after the event, ever seems to take stock of just how wrong about 95% of the speculation was.

I am strongly tempted to put it about that well known Dutch coach Ruud Boogers is the front runner, just to see what ensues. If it were Ross County, I would probably instead go with experienced Russian manager Igor Gudgikoff.

It's worse than politics CB but you are right in your post  there have been some horrendous suggestions  This is where we have to leave it to the board who most of the fans do not know from Adam to select a new manager and hope it will work out much better than the last time for our club :ictscarf:
