You can't beat a trip on the Waverley I am glad she is back sailing after the mishap last year. No sailings in the north this year.
  6. When you see them again they were two good goals the Manny takes his one well and the one from Doran is like his early years. I hope we have a good Manie and that Doran will show a wee bit of his younger days like this

I agree it was far superior than last season which was crap! Ian Auld was good the picture quality was good and it was good to hear Ross Tokely as well
  8. I would prefer to sponsor another youngster like Harry Hennem or Ethan Cairns. Billy could wear his old County boots See what others think there might be more suggestions.

jagster was asked me about this a few days ago saying that it was putting him off using the site when using his iphone and ipad. I have been getting the pop up ones on the iphone but not on the PC which I use in the evenings. The other adds that are on the site are fine for me.
  12. I think I have posted this one previously from a different angle
  13. He played well in the game that was on CJTV and scored a cracking goal, he looks promising and it is good he is with us and not County as he is from Tain.

That contract has been a total shambles from the start and like many of the new green ideas I cant see the reasoning behind them. Transporting gas to run these ferries hundreds of miles by road using diesel lorries It's like the one a digger driver was telling me last week about having to use electric diggers on windfarm sites that only ran for three hours then required to be charged using diesel generators

The Pentalina spent last week on sea trials and berthing at the piers on the west coast and is now back in Kirkwall. There has been nothing in the news to say if the trials were a success or not so we will have to wait for the next breakdown to find out if they call for assistance. On another note I think mantis is visiting Lewis again but not using Calmac The successor of Abeking & Rasmussen's motor yacht Elandess in detail. : Abeking & Rasmussen In Stornoway tonight.
  18. I have to say initially I was not keen to take any ex County players but after a busy week in the squad is taking shape and as others have said we should be up and running with a good mix of experience and youth in the team.
  19. I was hoping he would stay with us but thought he might move on when we weren't hearing anything. Thanks Toddy and good luck for the future.
  20. Totally agree it's embarrassing if that is true. If they are not being offered a new contract they should at least be told.

I think it's the fact that the Pentalina has a smaller crew than the Calmac ferries but might be wrong. I can't see why a ferry that sails the Pentland Firth would be unable to sail on west coast routes although the minch might be the exception in bad weather. Here is the article from the P&J yesterday.
