Sorry to revive an old thread, but I see on BBC news that the police have today released pictures of 5 men they would like to speak to regarding “culpable and reckless conduct” at the cup final, and disappointingly, 3 of them look like they are in the ICT section. Curious that it has taken 6 months for them to take this step? I didn’t see any problems from our fans, or the other lot, that day. Any idea what this is about?

[Goes without saying I’m sure, but don’t name names.]

Unless it is for having Flares or throwing smoke bombs which if it is would seem a bit petty when you look at what goes on at larger games and nothing seems to be done.  As Yngwie said I never seen any hint of trouble inside or outside the ground on an enjoyable day out.

  2. November started away to Dundee United and a 1-1 draw followed by a home win 3-1 against Ayr United, the next away game against Dunfermline was also 1-1 and to finish of the month our Scottish Cup win over Cowdenbeath 2-0.

The clear winner for November is David Wotherspoon :clapping: second Billy Mckay and third Max Anderson.

The leader for the Player of the Year is still Nathan Shaw, second Keith Bray and third Nikola Ujdur.

  3. I have been reading this article on BBC online which is a change from the normal news.

The Ferguson shipyard ships that nobody talks about - BBC News

What's gone wrong?  A company that was well run with a large experienced work force doing fine till people who don't know what they are doing take over running the company just looking to make a fortune without putting in the work.  They cut the staff getting rid of the most experienced workers to cut costs and hire others who are not up to doing the job!  It is so familiar throughout all industry now which is sad  and everyone blames the other.

There's good argument for both approaches.  The one used is higher risk, but gave better return in terms of game time and a proper look at fringe players.  The cost was entertainment value.

I'm sure Ferguson expected a bit more from the starting lineup and didn't intend to be relying on subs to win it, but he'll now have a better understanding of what he's working with.

I would rather the option that Jaggernaut prefers being secure with a win without taking chances but have the faith in Big Dunc to get it right

  5. I woke up at half time and had been dreaming Billy Dodds was back  then I heard that someone had a coupon on for us to win 8 - 0   it was a strange afternoon with the last ten minutes seeing good football and us scoring two good goals.  At least we are through to the next round and Big Dunc will know who to play next week!

I thought Tulloch gifted the stadium back to us just before Covid, hence why it's not the TCS anymore? Does that not include the land its on/around it, or does the initial 99 year deal throw everything down the pan? Just seems a lot of twists and turns in something that seems like it should be *somewhat* straightforward

Tulloch did 'gift' the stadium to the club but not the land including the car parks which they still have an lease from the council........nothing straightforward Jack!

That’s a good old MG Magnette and a Citeron which was pretty rare back then.
I have no idea for the last one.

Think the first one is near the viewpoint at Drumbeg going by this photo of mine from about 4 years back

You are right Mantis you posted this picture a few years ago as well as the old house with the rusty tin roof.

  9. I loved his antic in the box when we were beating them especially when we got the last minute goal for a draw in the Scottish Cup in Dingwall and won the replay at home.  I think it was Richie Foran that scored the goal............ah the good old days
