Ah well there you go, Partick and Queens have to be out of the running now.
-
Ah, Didn't realise Dunfermline scored again.... I would still say County are the main threats right now though. We've beaten Dunfermline in the league this year, In all the County games we've been the worst team and i'd probably say we have been again today.
-
Dunfermline drawing against 10 men? I think we should be more worried about Ross County just now, after all they are the team that has the game in hand over us.
-
-
Queens well out of it is well now, 2-0 to Ayr
-
2-0 Airdrie! YAAASSSSS hahaha
-
YAAAAASSS!!! I've still not heard this on the radio so i don't believe you's!!!
-
Looks like we've gone for
Esson
Proctor Tokely Munro Golly
Duncan Cox
Hayes Odhiambo Eagle
Rooney
-
County are pilling the pressure on us. If we don't watch it they'll eventually get through.
-
Dundee still haven't had a shot on target but seem to be playing better.
A draw today wouldn't be a bad result for us against County - i think this game is our hardest of the season left and hopefully Airdrie can hold Dundee.
-
Barrowman to score? :D
Interestingly Griffiths has been dropped from the Dundee 11.
-
ICT Line Up:
esson
Rosco Bully Munro golabek
Hayes Proctor Duncan Cox Odhiambo
Rooney
From what MFR jst said
Considering Sanchez is injured that is the best possible team we could have played. Good choice.

Why is it with Lionel that some people are just desperate for him to fail? You can just imagine what's going on in these people's heads -
Go on Lionel, fail
Fail so I can gloat at everyone
{Lionel has the ball at his feet}
Go on Lionel, mess it up!
{Lionel complete's pass}
Oh no, he got it right! Maybe next time....
{Lionel, who's been playing well, makes one bad pass and the opposition score}
Lionel messed it up! Look at me! Look at me! Look at me! I was right! What a bombscare! What a terrible game! Get him off! I was right! I was right!
Yet these same people (like hypothetical dimwit above) seem to treat Ross Tokely as some sort of God, when most of the time, he ain't much better.
I don't quite think that's how people see Lionel. All through the season when he has started i've thought he could do a job, its not until he makes that crucial mistake though when people start turning on him. When he plays he sometimes looks lazy and not interested.
I think his days at this club are now numbered.

:D Cow shed, are you County in disguise?
-
If we win on saturday then i think we'll win the league. At the moment i believe but i'm also aware that anything can happen in football and its very hard to call.
-
Its a bad day if any player has to rely on a fans forum for confidence.
Alex assumes he will start on saturday, i dont think that would be a good idea- thats all.
Thats not the point though, Alot of people would rather see Sanchez play instead but the chances of Nick playing again are high and THIS thread has a purpose of supporting him. On other threads its more than acceptable to say how you feel about Nick not playing well at the weekend and that he's not ready but thats not what this one was about.
-
I probably am going against the trend here, but i thought he was really ineffective last week, was not dangerous to the opposition one bit ( waits for howls about the goal) his time will come for sure as he has got tremendous ability, but perhaps against a VERY defensive Morton this was not the type of gane to start him.
Saturday will not be a good game for Ross to start, we need experience and guts to get into county and cant afford any passengers.
The sub heading of this thread mentions not an opportunity to slate Nick Ross, as Harry says he is only 18. This thread was meant to build his confidence up if he reads these forums and that is highly likely. Give the guy a break and criticise on other threads.
If you play on saturday Nick, good luck!
-
Dundee WILL find some form before the end of the season, i'm sure of it. I just hope by then we have pulled it back to at least 3 points. Taking the league on the final day of the season on goal difference. As for the other teams i think by next week we will understand who is still in the running. With us playing Ross County and Dundee playing Queens the following week that could eliminate both of them leaving us and Dundee and maybe Dunfermline depending on how they get on.
-
I think the whole idea of this thread was to lift the spirits of Nick if he was to play on saturday, not to say he doesn't deserve his place.

This poll is to decide who's the most important player ICT have. I find it a hard one to decide as someone said earlier if we lost Esson then we'd be playing an inexperienced keeper and that could be costly so Esson has got to be a contender. The most important players are the players we need playing every week and i'd say Hayes, Rooney and Foran are in that field. If any of those out and we'll have trouble replacing them with someone who can bring the same to the team.
This season Hayes has been my favourite to watch so i'm choosing him.
-
I wouldn't be any more annoyed if County were promoted than if Dunfermline were promoted or normally even Dundee but i really hope if anyone goes up that isn't us then it has to be Dundee. If they stay in the first division for another season then they'll just spend money buying even more players to win it next year. This will make it a lot harder for us to compete and they may even steal a couple of our players in the process.
-
I use a...
4-2-3-1 - Pretty much like ICT just now and think that works really well. I attack from the off at home and if i'm trying to hold a lead with 10 minutes to go will change to "Contain" If i'm after a goal in the last 10 minutes i either choose "overload" or Get balls forward, Using overload to early though can really tire your players out and you could end up losing goals so be careful.
-
This is going to be the toughest game of the season. I would even say Dundee on the last day at home is more winnable. Hopefully we can pick up AT LEAST a point but we really do need all 3.
-
If we manage to claw Dundee back to 3 points (which is what i'm counting on) Then we should have the better goal difference. Just by winning the extra game than them. What we don't need is for them to score bucketloads against Ayr tomorrow night. I've never once actually considered winning the league by points and that goal difference would be sufficient.
11 games to go
in Caley Thistle

From 11 games to go we have now managed 4 points, last time around we managed 0 points. Dundee last time managed 2 and this time round they are on 1. Thats a 3 point improvement already and still 9 games to go.
Dundee have Queens at home next which they drew last time around and we have Airdrie at home where we picked 3 points up last time.
