  1. Having almost dropped 2 points today all my belief was almost gone. I now know this 4 point lead is NOTHING. It can easily be thrown away and we really need those 3 points on Tuesday, putting 7 points on Dundee would be an excellent turn around from being 15 points behind. The pressure would be on them to beat Partick away on saturday which i am thinking about lending my support to Partick for the day.

  2. I always find myself less likely to chant at home matches than i am at away games for the reason that everyone else is quieter. In general away support is better and i have found us to be excellent fans on the road over the past few months. I haven't been to a home game this season so can't compare it to how it was in the past though.

My first home game of the season is against Dundee

  3. I thought that the whole idea of having a forum was about allowing individuals to vent their feelings and opinions. It is the goody two shoe feckin attitude on here that pissses a lot of peeeple off. You can have great performances and still have a feckin moan.

I feel ma old mucker brosnon has hit it feckin spot on here without probably saying that that there are still some concerns about positional / tactical thinking and selections - akin to last season. TB has been great fer this club but he still has his flaws and his faves.

So just let peeple say their pieces - perhaps it is becos the criticisms are correct and hit a feckin nerve. Lets face it this bunch are not in the same league as the Bingham / Mann / Wilson / Ritchie and co era.

PS - dont worry about the noise at morton or Dumbfries - but expect criticism afterwards as well.

I used to agree with this but i seriously think over the past 2 months players like Duncan, Munro, Tokely, McBain, Golly and Proctor wouldn't look too bad in that squad of 2004.

 was that sarcasm :004: :lol::lol:

Doesn't quite work the same online eh?

Seriously though i think the way Rooney, Hayes and Foran have been playing is almost as exciting as Wyness, Ritchie, Robson and Bingham.

  5. In all competitions this season i'm sure Rooney has 21 goals. He was level with Grifiths on 20 prior to todays games i think.

Yeah thats correct and Foran now has 13 i think, possibly 14. From midfield that is excellent.

  6. I'm talking in terms of total goals in a season though. If anyone has stats available i'd be interested to know the season totals for our 2 top strikers since we joined the league. So if anyone has the time or the info handy i think it would make very interesting reading.

I'm not 100% sure but i would have a pop at saying Wyness on say 25 and Paul Ritchie on 22.

  7. Ive noticed a few comments about the team being a bit "Jaded " "Tired legs " " Running on empty "

Its their job to be running up & down the park for 90 mins even if it is twice a week !

I know Tennis is a completely different sport but when you think of the hours Andy Murray puts in

A game of football should be a piece of cake .

I always wonder this is well. Never mind Andy Murray, amateurs can play twice a week and i know the standard isn't the same but whats an extra game of football a week? I think 3 is pushing it though and thats why County will struggle.

  8. Here is the points for the winners of the league over the past 11 years. It shows last year was the poorest the top team has ever been and i'd be surprised to see anyone winning it with less this year.

We need 3 more wins to go onto 67pts.

    2008/09 St Johnstone 65pts

    2007/08 Hamilton 76pts

    2006/07 Gretna 66pts

    2005/06 St Mirren 76pts

    2004/05 Falkirk 75pts

    2003/04 ICT 70pts

    2002/03 Falkirk 81pts

    2001/02 Partick 66pts

    2000/01 Livingston 76pts

    1999/00 St. Mirren 76pts

    1998/99 Hibernian 89pts

  9. Probably pointless but may put some people in a calmer mood leading upto todays game, i am certainly a bit nervous about todays game.

We have now beaten Raith 9 games in a row leading back to 2002.

We are unbeaten against them in the last 15 matches leading back to 2000.

In those last 15 matches against Raith they have only managed 7 goals.

In those last 15 matches against Raith we have scored 36 goals.

Raith haven't scored against us in the last 5 matches.

Now for the stats that matter.

We are top of the league and they're no.

Raith are playing Dundee Utd next week and don't give a monkeys about our game.

What a load of sh*te, Stats mean nothing....NOTHING

  10. So with 5 games to go things are looking really good. Going by previous performances earlier in the season we managed 11 points from the remaining 5 matches and Dundee managed 11 points also with no one losing.

  11. ICT

    Morton (H) - 1-0 WIN

    Ross County (A) - 0-0 DRAW

    Airdrie (H) - 4-0 WIN

    Partick Th (A) - 0-1 WIN

    Ross County (H) - 3-0 WIN

    Raith (H) - 4-3 WIN

    Morton (A)

    QoS (A)

    Dunfermline (H)

    Ayr (A)

    Dundee (H)

That was close today - and then there were 5.... :hiding03:

Raith were the easy ones today i think... Morton and QOS away will be the real tests. I'll take 4 points from that.
