Yeah i'll be going, Home game for me just being down the road.
aye likewise, 20 minutes or so in the car, if you need a lift give me a shout mate
Cheers for the offer, I'm in the process of trying to persuade some TV OF fans from college to take in a real game on Tuesday night. They're getting a little curious of what the fuss is all about when i'm coming in on a monday raving about our team so i should be taking the train with them but if they bale on me i'll give you a shout mate.

HALF-TIME SCORES
Airdrie 0-0 Partick
Dundee 2-0 Ayr
Dunfermline 0-2 Ross County
Inverness CT 2-1 Raith
Morton 2-1 Queen of South
That Morton score is quite scary, they seem to be doing really well at the moment. Tuesday night could be a hard one.

I've posted it before but who preferes this seasons title run in compared to the one in 2004? Its really close but i LOVE how the team is playing at the moment.
No one can touch Rooney! It's rare that we have two excellent wingers on each side playing together is well.

Inverness 58
Dundee 54
Dunfermline 49
Ross County 47
QOS 43
Partick 42
This is how the league is just now...
-
12 goals for Foran this season, people were laughing when he said he would get 20 this year. Not a bad return from a winger. 6 matches to get his final 8 goals, C'mon Richie!
-
F**K YOU Dundee we're gonna win the league! We're gonna win the league! :) :D Hopefully...
I have confidence we can pull it back once we go behind these days, something i haven't really felt since Pele was in charge. Foran, Rooney and Hayes is as exciting as when we had players like Wyness, Ritchie, Bingham, Robson, Sheerin etc.
-
At least they scored early, hopefully we'll be able to pull it back...
-
Interesting to see Stratford back in the team, hopefully he can do well now and earn himself a new contract.

I'm inclined to disagree with your last statement. This is an important game for Raith. They're not safe in division 1 and their players will be wanting to impress McGlynn to get a start against utd. Today will not be an easy game IMO.
I completely agree with you but looking at those stats really does put you at ease a bit better.
-
Probably pointless but may put some people in a calmer mood leading upto todays game, i am certainly a bit nervous about todays game.
We have now beaten Raith 9 games in a row leading back to 2002.
We are unbeaten against them in the last 15 matches leading back to 2000.
In those last 15 matches against Raith they have only managed 7 goals.
In those last 15 matches against Raith we have scored 36 goals.
Raith haven't scored against us in the last 5 matches.
Now for the stats that matter.
We are top of the league and they're no.
Raith are playing Rangers next week and don't give a monkeys about our game.

I also now believe, and thats what scares me! At the start of the season i was going to be happy with top 3 and a cup run, which is what we got (and still will get). The challenge cup final was a great day out if not for the result, and the two Motherwell games were excellent as well as the atmosphere at Killie. But now we're top of the league by 4 points and i now can't help but expect us to be promoted.
In a way i hate being top. It's not as fun as chasing the pack and it really is a lot more stressful. If we were second right now i'd expect to easily beat Raith...now i just hope we don't f**k it up and any win will do.

We do not just need Foran, we need the whole front team.
Hayes, Foran, Odi and Cox
Add Rooney, Tokely, Esson, Duncan to that and we've got an SPL team.
-
It would have been 6 cleansheets if we didn't concede a penalty against Queens.

According to http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/, the following players' contracts are set to expire: Richie Foran, Ross Tokely, Jonny Hayes, Ryan Esson, Lee Cox, Danni Sanchez, David Proctor, Robert Eagle, Lionel Djebi-Zadi, Dan Stratford, Eric Odhiambo, Roy McBain.
Which would mean the only players with contracts beyond this summer are: Grant Munro, Stuart Golabek, Russell Duncan, Adam Rooney, Nick Ross, Kyle Allison, Gavin Morrison, Graeme Shinnie and Shane Sutherland...
Of the ones set to expire, the ONLY ones i think that are up to SPL football are Foran, Hayes, Esson and Coz. We would survive without the others. And before anyone points it out...yes i know i have omitted Tokely. I think he would struggle this time round at SPL level
Yet another season goes by where people think superman isn't upto the job. I remember his first season in the SPL when he had his doubters and ended up being our best player by a mile. Tokely deserves another shot at the SPL and he'll prove everyone wrong yet again IMO.
Where "IMO" being the operative words!!
But surely after everyone wrote him off season after season from the 3rd division right up to the SPL you would know better than to assume he wouldn't be good enough again next year.

Why did we give Golabek a two year deal? I know he's done relatively well this season but at his age surely that was a bit of a gamble.
-
I'm not sure, i think even Granty's contract was up. I was thinking it was someone like Lionel.
-
4 points now... I have confidence to bump this to the top again
-
I'm not 100% sure but Nick Ross and Graeme Shinnie signed new contracts recently, as did Terry and Mo. I think we have 3 other players signed up for next year, Rooney and Duncan possibly but can't remember who the 3rd is.

:D Delete this thread! I almost died! I can't believe i STILL get caught out with Aprill fools :D haha.
-
I'd prefere to be 3 points infront of Dundee with the last game to go, meaning the league isn't officially ours yet but Dundee would have to put about 10 past us to win the title. Then we get our pitch invasion and no nerves throughout the game!

Surely this thread should be changed to - "Dundee has the jitters"

Gotta say looking at that table if it all stays the same i think it's a two horse race with us and Dundee. I know County can still close the gap but thats a big ask.
