  1. Sounds like we've been bottling it once the ball's in goal territory as usual, let's just hope we can sink one, think we could win with a 1-0 lead today Dundee don't seem to be as dangerous as they usually are.
  2. Sounds like a really close game, we might just do it y'know. Fingers crossed!!
  3. Have to disagree there. United would be a far better side if they still had him. If they end up not winning anything this season, as is possible, maybe their reluctance to pay the asking price will be seen as a false economy. I don't think United's striking options would be their downfall this season. It's the defensive injuries. Fergie must have asked himself "Is Tevez better than what I have here already?". Rooney is a better version of Tevez and Fergie would have felt that neither player would have been at their best whilst playing next to each other. Would I rather have him than Dimitar? Yes. Would I rather he played next to Rooney than Berbatov? No. Tevez is a really good player but, not worth what was being asked for him. We will see at the end of the season though but I don't think Tevez will be the only deciding factor if the title doesn't go to Man U, or, ends up at Man city, which for the sake of decency, I sincerely hope it doesn't. I think Tevez has a far bigger presence on the pitch than Rooney does which can be a massive game swinger, by keeping the oppostion playing defensively it creates far more chances for City to play in the oppositions half and strike at goal. Rooney doesn't play at all like this. So I disagree with you saying that Rooney's a better version of Tevez, tamer yes but not better. Also, of course a single player will never be the deciding factor in a teams league position but they can certainly help.
  4. Just a wee question to the few Aberdonian Caley supporters, how do you get to away games being that most are in the central belt and are not directly accessible by train or bus?
  5. Not sure how related to ICT this is but feel free to move the post if its in the wrong place. Anyway, just looked at the Hoodie on the club shop webpage and it looks pretty good going by the picture, question is, does it look as good in its real form. Any of you lot have one? If so, how is it? Link to the page http://uk.born.com/product-view/1255981480...6400/ICT+Hoodie Apparently if you buy it in medium its been marked down to ?0 :D
  6. Brilliant win, absoloutely brilliant! :(
  7. I may be able to help, I'll let you know for definite either tomorrow or thursday.
  8. Bad quality drugs coupled with the increased availability of 'harder' drugs such as Heroin and to a lesser extent cocaine. The latter being stupidly easy to OD on having nearly done it myself. Also maybe more dealers from down south are struggling financially in their native territory and are heading up to Inverness as a cash grab? Only real solution aside from teaching people, not just youngsters, the possible consequences of taking large amounts of drugs is to have police patrols patrolling the A9 and A96 to catch drug runners. A similar approach was taken by Grampian Police Traffic Cops in Aberdeen and from what I hear they catch a good few of them on the A90.
  9. I hope your wrong, would be good to get two near sell-out games (County and Motherwell) during the transfer window in January. I assume Season Ticket Holders will have the first opportunity to get tickets?
  10. Anyone know whats happening in regards to the tickets for the Scottish Cup game against Motherwell? Would like to get a hold of one asap.
  11. I'll be there, I've decided to become a Caley loyalist, so I shall be at every game henceforth, not such a short journey for me, 90 odd miles.
  12. Why's this thread been replied to after so long? Has this idea developed?
  13. Hibs weren't promoted under the current system. The current system being 12 teams in the SPL which has been in place since 2000-2001. Prior to that (the season Hibs were promoted) there were only 10 teams. You can't compare different league set-ups hence that seasons omission.
  14. I don't think us not being promoted this season is why people are brassed off with Butcher. Its his general managerial skills, the team play very patchy games. If we were just straight up losing games different story but we seem to play good in one half of the game and then throw it away before the final whistle. So its almost as if we deserve to win and perhaps have a higher steading in the league. Of course the first season back to any league whether it be up or down will be difficult at best for a team as they have many things to get used to, particularly financial ones. However I do think that if we had say Pele back this season and we were sliding down the league table it would be for a different reason altogether and I'll bet my bottom dollar it wouldn't be because of his skills as a manager, and perhaps fans would react differently.
  15. To be honest I think the pricing of tickets is the least of Scottish footballs worries. There is a reason why for example people grudge paying say ?18 per game at TCS for the Jock McDonald stand, its the fact that they pay such a hefty fee for poor football. ?18 quid to see your team get gubbed by village teams? Or ?18 to see your team play a good game against top flight teams? Which would you rather and which would be a more satisfying way of spending your money, seeing as how the atmosphere at present at TCS does not usually influence your experience of the game positively. I know that attendances will have a knock-on effect on income and in-turn quality of players, grounds etc. However there are better ways of increasing attendances without adjusting the prices. I personally think that the atmosphere at games whether home or away play a massive part in crowd satisfaction and attendance. I would quite happily pay up to say ?30 a game (maybe I have too much dispensible income) if I had a great time at games whether we were winning or losing and that seems to be a major part of the Bundesliga's members games. Also staying within Scottish football, look at Dee4Life, why is there not a trust of similar quality and influence in the club at this ICT? I think even something that rivalled Dee4Life would increase supporters appreciation of the club and in turn loyalty. Another main problem is the part-timer fan, somewhat hypocritical but I too am guilty of this, due to me being a lone Caley fan in my circle of friends, the problem is that they only turn up to the 'big' games and skip all the diddy games against the likes of Airdrie and co. Better atmosphere and they'll turn up no matter what the opposition. I'm not trying to imply that my opinion is flawless and may not work on its own but coupled with similar ideas and supported by the majority of clubs could change the game we know and for the most part love.
  16. Anyone thats got this for the PS3 just give's a shout, PSN ID is TerroristOrchid, stick a message in the friend request saying that you're from here. Cheers
  17. Definitely up for helping with that. I'll send you an email shortly.
  18. How would I go about joining, the application form on the website is out of date.
  19. Yep, no harm in giving it another bash though surely?
  20. Tickets won't be sold out for this one so you can turn up and get one at the gate as you go in with no problems. See the aforementioned link for prices. I come through from Aberdeen for each Home game (apart from midweek Cup games due to work). Been doing it for about 8 years now. I have developed an intense hatred for the Aberdeen - Inverness line. Alrighty, I'll be there this Saturday then, back when I was a Dandies supporter North Stand seemed to be the noisiest, is that still the case? Ooft tell me about it, before I started driving I used it about once a month, for some reason Scotrail seem to dislike the line too, scabby raft-like trains (head down south and you'll see the luxury you're missing out on) and its a single track line, which means you have to pit-stop every few stations to let other trains pass.
  21. Ehh, the first one, Abuldeen, nae for long though min. I'm movin to the sneck once my apprenticeship's out. I'm all for supporting your local team, except if its Aberdeen. Didn't see the point in waiting until I moved to Inverness to start supporting them.
  22. Hello, not sure if I'm posting this in the correct place but I'm sure I'll find out if its not. Anyway, this coming Saturday I intend to go to a Caley game for the first time. However, on the official ticket site, there are no tickets for the Ayr game listed, having never been a Home fan at Tulloch before I'm unsure of the availability of tickets to Caley supporters. Does this mean that the game is sold out, or do they only list games which they deem to be important? The reason I'm so concerned is that I live just over 100 miles away from Inverness, therefore I am unwilling to travel the distance to sit in my car outside the grounds listening to the game on the radio. Can anyone shed some light on this?
