  1. I like the stripes and I don't think they terrible at all but others mustn't like them if they don't sell as well. Quite a number of people I've spoken to actually seem to like the fact we don't repeat the same strip year after year with tweaks and change things up instead. Though of course there is milage too in having a consistent 'brand image'. If they did go with a consistent look who's to say it would be stripes anyway? At the end of the day the most important thing about the shirt is the club crest. Surely though by selling more strips and having more kids (and adults) wearing them out and about helps develop the club's identity and gets ICT better ingrained in the local psyche. Quite frankly keeping kids interested in the club is the only way ICT will live on in the future and if having strips that they apparently like helps to do that then great.
  2. Personally I've no interest in having a say it's really not that huge an issue to me. Even if you give fans a say you'll still end up with people not happy, perhaps more so as they never got 'their' design. ETA- I'm also a wee bit confused, you refer to the new strip as a mess in your previous post and go on quite a rant, now you say you don't have a problem with it.
  3. The old one was still on sale.
  4. 2-1 FT
  5. Remember these beauties? I certainly would rather swap either of the top two for the current mess tbh! And going by the comments from people at the time these were shown, im not the only one. In fact the praise shown for both these shirts were greater than what I've seen the past couple of days. This reminds me of a club called FC United (oh no not them again). They allow the fans/co-owners to design AND vote for their favourite shirt. And they also feel that £36 is a just price for a piece of polyester. Just imagine us, the fans, were allowed to design and vote for our favourite shirt. We would have been given one of these true ICT shirts. But instead we were given a knock off Rangers top by our 'know-all' board and have been given the priveledge of shelling out £45 for it... Ps. Its more likely that the last home shirt was popular because the team were doing well and not because of the design. Not a fan of the new strip then? I quite like it and treated mysel to it today.
  6. I've always presumed it's just a rolling contract. Apparently one that's far more favourable terms than any other supplier could offer.
  7. It's odd, I was speaking to someone at the club yesterday and strangely the most recent and other non striped strips sell far better than the striped ones. Last home strip was the best selling ever bar the 'named' one. Going by people's view on here stripes are the massive prefrence. I can only assume that either many of the stripe fans don't bother to buy the strips or or the majority of srtips sold are to a demographic not on CTO. I don't know the breakdown but I'd imagine that there's far more kids and jnr strips sold than adults. Obviously it seems the kids like the different designs and if that's your biggest market I suppose it makes sense to keep it happy..
  8. I'd be very surprised if this was the case.
  9. Good number of people especially kids seem to really like it. Really wanted to get it for my daughter's last ICT training day tomorrow but sadly this won't be the case.
  10. When will the kids sizes (3-4 years) be available?
  11. I was thinking the same tbh.
  12. Kids sizes are not available yet ferben.
  13. I think you're onto something there Forza.
  14. It's in the back of the net!
  15. I hope the first person to buy it can quickly let us know the exact red to blue percentage so people can be outraged.
  16. Hearing a rumour that the strips will be announced on Thursday and released on Friday. Unsubstantiated, though I'd be surprised if they weren't on sale for Sunday's game.
  17. Not that I recall but perhaps it was the case before I moved back up from Glasgow.
  18. Not sure if that was a response to me but as I said l like the stripes, they are a bit different. The whole red/blue argument I don't care about. We should have a canary yellow / shocking pink strip. That would be distinctive.
  19. I like the stripes but more blue or red? Couldn't care less. Just hope it looks decent. Perhaps ICT should have gone for a totally different colour from the offset to avoid these type of arguments, probably didn't think they'd still be going on after 20 years though.
  20. Not a bad idea, even having a grass area instead of a smoking area may even bring back some of the stay aways. Indeed, though a grass smoking area may not increase the volume of support it might increase food and snack sales.
  21. Well that's my birthday been and gone with no new strip. A sternly worded letter is now being composed to Errea.
  22. I'd like to pop over but unfortunately I'll be taking the wee one to see The Gruffalo at Eden Court on Saturday afternoon.
  23. I'm often there at the CJT desk, a beer or two is sometimes had if I'm not driving. Just not something that's a big deal to me now for home games. Unless I'm in hospitality of course where the complimentary bar is fully exploited!
  24. As I'm sure you're aware ;) you can get flung out at any ground for being drunk. At our last away game at Septic park an ICT fan was removed for being drunk (and he was pretty drunk) but he was just sitting up the back saying or doing nothing. To be fair the Sarge was apologetic (the steward was more of a fa##y) but said the control room right next to us had noticed him and wanted him out. In all honesty I'm not too bothered about having a drink at home games as I'll be taking my daughter. Away games on the other hand... I'm getting a wee bit off topic here anyways.
