I think cost may be an issue for some but I'm not convinced it's as big as that. I think prices compare with a trip to the cinema etc when everything is added in. The football is our leisure activity in our family so we tend to do the cinema, bowling etc rarely. I think the family section is a great deal for those with young children and there are finance packages available to spread the cost. It is a big jump in cost when they reach 12 or 16 I know but at least there are still concessions available. The club do on the day deals on a regular basis but I do know the take up is generally poor! I really feel these numbers are down to away crowds and fixture manipulation. I will concede there probably is a drop in home fans attending as well. IMO attending football is a habit. It's easy to get out of the habit and go and do other things at the weekend unfortunately for the club. I do worry about the sustainability for the future however. I could pay for 2 adults AND 2 kids, to go Ice Skating, on a saturday afternoon, for 2.5 hours, for about £3-4 CHEAPER thn it would cost just ONE adult to get the cheapest seat at TCS!!! I could take that same family of 4 to the Cinema, in the afternoon, for a pound or two more than what it would cost just me to get the cheapest seat in the house at TCS! Football is a RIP OFF....plain and simple. I find my season tickets much better value than cinema etc. as I said its a matter of choosing where youspend your money. I've never got a family ticket cheaper than £22 at the cinema....tho £23.20 for a family of 4 on a saurday afternoon to get into the cinema. i think the cheapest ticket for ONE adult at TCS is £21 For 2 adults and 2 under 12s you'd be about £24 a game for the four of you in the family section with season tickets. So much the same really. Not everyone has kids under 12, who would ONLY qualify for that price you quoted if the family were rich enuff to be able to fork out for two adult season tickets!!! So a fairer comparrison would be 2 x adult tickets for footie, in amily section = £32, plus two junior tickets=£14......so all in all.....£46 Without you stating how old these theoretical kids are it's not really possible to make an absolute like for like comparison. However according to Vue a family of 4 ticket price is for a minimum of 2 children and a child according to their website is a 2-12 year old, so my original comparison seems totally fair. ETA- Forgot to mention a family ticket on a Saturday afternoon is £27.20 at the cinema, as it's a peak time, not £23.20. http://www.myvue.com/cinemas/ticket-prices/cinema/inverness I'm obviously looking at season tickets are they are the most financially prudent way to go to games. If you are 'rich' and bought 2 adult and 2 Jnr STs in the family section and paid them up over 10 months it's about £69 a month or about £35 a game, much cheaper than buying at the gate. If every penny's a prisoner then an uncovered family ST (1 adult & 2 jnrs) is £200 no idea how much for an extra adult, as it doesn't state that but lets say it's £100. So £300 all in for 2 kids/jnrs & 2 adults that's under £16 a game for everyone. Granted uncovered isn't ideal but if cost is the primary issue and driver and you have older kids then it's an option.

The cost can be dropped dramatically over a period of about 19 games if you want. It's called a season ticket. It'll work out at just over £12 a game for both my daughter and I to go. Outstanding value. I'm fortunate enough to able to buy it, but of course the cost can be spread up to 10 months I think.

More importantly, will we be getting a Subway concession stall at the ground? I'd far rather a Meatball Marinara than a lukewarm pie.

I was thinking the same, not too keen on the 'Eat Fresh' bit if indeed it'll be on the final product.

How would publicly knowing the numbers (presuming they're down) help you know the actual reasons for non renewal? You could just as well guess the reasons knowing the numbers or not. Unless they publicly released contact details for those not renewing so we could all give them a ring and ask. There's two points here. My original comment was in response to conjecture around poor sales and I was simply making the point that unless info on sales is made public there is little point having that conjecture. Any idividual can post the reasons for them buying / not buying a season ticket but having that debate in the context of known sales data would allow the thread to explore the reasons behind the facts rather than simply dabbling in speculation. Quite separate is the issue for the club. Whether they release the data or not, the club will know whether sales are up or down and that will influence what steps they decide to take to find out why folk either do or do not buy a season ticket. It would be perfectly reasonable for the club to give folk a ring to find out their views. Much of what's discussed here and on other threads and forums etc is conjecture and opinion. I don't see why this particular issue so desperately needs specific numbers after 5 days of sales to be able to discuss sensibly the possible ramifications of and reasons for lower sales, it's been discussed plenty in the past without the figures being announced if I recall.

Season tickets
In all fairness I too have my concerns and doubts about how things will pan out. However that's not much different from many other seasons and I hope that my fears are allayed. I buy my ticket to support my team and hope that the players and management do the best they can. We have done excellent to have 2 top 6 finishes and our first major cup final. I hope we can continue in that vein, however if things slip a little I won't be massively surprised there will always be highs and lows that's part of football and supporting your team, we are probably the worst supported team and (therefore) have probably the lowest budget in the league that's going to affect things in the big picture.

Season tickets
I'll be renewing and getting one for my daughter means a move to the family section so I'll lose my normal seat sadly. It'll actually work out cheaper! £240 is excellent value for two season tickets imo. Works out at around £12.60 a game. ETA- I think it's quite sad that some are considering not coming back after what's arguably been our most successful 2 seasons. Folk at the club must despair.

Plenty of managers put on players with a couple of minutes to go. Don't see what the big deal is tbh. Yogi generally seems far more willing to put on players earlier than Butcher ever did.- Hospitality for the Final Game of the Season

Am I right in saying they'll be finding out tomorrow who's staying and who's going?- Should Hughes be SACKED?
Lol I can see why you might think that Johndo but actually I'm being 100% genuine. We're more than happy for other fans to come and have a chat. It could be a question, travel booking, problem or just a hello. It can get lonely standing there!- Should Hughes be SACKED?
If that's aimed at me, then you couldn't be further from the truth. I may not be so publicly critical of the club as I once was, but there's reason for that and it has nothing to do with becoming "cosy". There's two main reasons for it.....firstly, having people at the club who are willing to directly listen and take on board the views of the fans....and secondly, in allowing me to do what I do for the club there is the need for an element of trust (from both sides). I trust that if I raise a matter with the chairman he will give it due consideration and he trusts that I won't abuse the access and information that's made available to me and which allows me to improve communication with fans. I receive no salary and am not an employee of the club. There is no contractual obligation for me to refrain from being critical of anything...and I am critical when I see need. I'm pretty sure if you spoke to Kenny Cameron he would attest to the fact that I can be as big a pain in the ass now as I've always been when I get my dander up over something....I just don't see the need/benefit in doing that on a public forum when I can speak to the man direct. I would also add that anyone could phone up and ask for an appointment with the Chairman if they have an issue they wanted to discuss and it would be welcomed....just not this week as he's away for a few days. It wasn't just aimed at yourself but more those involved in CJT at the higher level, I have never seen one of them on here once expressing a worry about the way things are going under Yogi, perhaps its a coincidence and they are all happy and have no concerns going forward. I would question your reply about how you don't need to post on here if you are not happy with things yet will have a dig at fans that do have concerns. There is not much point in coming on a forum unless you put your views across.I hope you can understand that why this is as seen as just defending the club because you have relationship when as you explained this is not the case. I do not want this to be seen as a dig at CJT who I think are doing a remarkable job, however they like us are just fans and there is no real point on coming on a forum unless an honest opinion is put across or in my view that opinion losses credibility. If any member of CJT has concerns they would like raised then contact can be made by either emailing [email protected] or by personal contact at our desk in the sports bar pre any home match. Board members are elected to represent members and our personal views may difer from that being raised. However any concerns would be discussed at our meetings and passed on to the club if thought appropriate. Sorry but you are missing my point, was just passing an opinion I have no need to bring it up in the form of a complaint It needn't be a complaint, feel free to pop along before any home game to fully discuss your opinions too.- Apres St Johnstone final game

If CJT can provide some people for this the organisers make a donation to CJT (the ICT supporters society). This donation in turn helps things like keeping the buses running to away games etc, these away games involve ICT. Thanks for the sensible reply . No trouble. Apologies if it wasn't clear in the OP.
