3G at TCS?
http://www.inverness-courier.co.uk/Sport/Football/Hughes-backs-astro-turf-for-Caley-Jags-ground-08012015.htm Wee poll. Can't remember if this has been discussed before (probably) but what do folk think about the possibility of a 3/4G pitch? It would suit out passing style of play. Gaffer seems keen enough, but I can understand Drape's concerns. I wonder what the injury stats for players at clubs with synthetic pitches compares to those with grass? There's a project for you Sneckboy

My mistake, with Goodwin laid flat out after the goal I thought it was him. Quite frankly skinning Tesselar just doesn't seen quite as fun.- Inverness CT -V- St Mirren
Glorious skinning of Goodwin by Dave the Rave for the goal.- Inverness CT -V- St Mirren

At almost any ground man for man the away support makes more noise. I've seen us make more noise at Septic Park / Ibrokes than the home support. Rather than as per usual moaning about our home support lets give credit, at least for a couple of days, to those who made the trip in far greater numbers than the seething Ross-Shire mob bothered to.- Ross County -V- Inverness CT
They are a very very bitter group of fans for some reason. In the New Year game here last season they were giving all sorts of pathetic excuses why they weren't coming from there's no transport to I'm not giving them my money. Now they're having a go at us for taking a decent crowd to a derby game. I can only assume that they struggle to cope with dispite them having a moneybags chairman, great stadium, 'being a fantastic community club' , having more supporters etc etc (at least that's what they propagate) we still dominate them and have done so for years. It pleases me we upset them so much.- Ross County -V- Inverness CT

I don't think anyone is suggesting that what they did was right or they should be let off with it, in fact if ICT are stung with a fine we should send the bill to them. However my father in law who's in his 60's felt that the stewards should have just let them go whereas I felt they were quite right to detain the lad. So it's not necessarily a generational thing either. Dunno why your pals are having a go about it all the Partick fans I read on P&B seemed to take it in a 'daft laddies' way.. As for beakdown in society which of course is a modern thing with football fans and teenagers in the 70s/80s being always so well behaved. Unfortunatly these things happen sometimes, what shocked me more in a way was the 'liberal tolerance' and utter lack of action shown from the stewards. I'd say threatening never to return over this is kinda entering meltdown territory...- Inverness CT -V- Partick Th
It was a stupid thing for them to do and I'm sure they'll be punished as they should be. Why on earth would you be getting abuse about it? Also why would you not go back if ICT don't make a statement? I'd be surprised if they did, probably want to give them as little attention as possible. Overreaction imo.- Calling The Residents Of Inverness
I didn't make the game as I was at work. Was pretty straightforward for me tbh. As for others I think for some folk they'd still not be happy if there game was in a climate controlled arena 2mins from their house, served the finest cuisine and cost a tenner.- St Mirren -V- Inverness CT

Sister's birthday on Saturday so canne make this one!- Calling The Residents Of Inverness
I've not noticed the stewards give any grief to the lads who stand up in Section E for a couple of seasons now. They seem happy to let them stand if they want these days. Safe standing is now officially allowed I believe, on the proviso that a certain type of seat/barrier is installed . However I think it costs about £100 a 'seat' plus installation. So £10,000 + for 100 seats and people would expect to pay less (like your £10 example). So its no likely to happen. ETA- I've never seen a steward go through anyone's pockets, just bags.- Calling The Residents Of Inverness
For talking sake lets say a wealthy oil baron turned sup and said - I want to buy you a new stadium no strings atrached. Ok that would be great to redevelop at our current location, with a leaner 4 sided stadium that was tight to the park. Though that doesn't solve the location issue. Where would we put a new stadium if we were to move it? Even if my oil baron say paid off the council to buy the whole bught area. Do you think planners would allow it to be built there? Not a snowball's chance. They wouldn't even approve a wee microbrewery near town citing 'parking' as the issue. No chance they're allowing something that will be attracting 3k+ of people. Can't put it anywhere near a residential area either as that would be booted out. So where's the better site? Plus we canne afford any of this anyway lol.- Calling The Residents Of Inverness
Merger. Cost. Crap Stadium. Too far out of town. Local Sevco/Septic support. Poor pies. Cold. I don't agree with them all personally but most will have an effect to a greater or lesser degree. However these are the reasons people will give for not going. As for what can be done to persuade people to come? That truly is the million dollar question.- Inverness CT -V- Motherwell
