  1. When you say get behind OUR team. Who do you mean in your case? Yawwwn funny I keep getting asked this despite attending more home games than most on here including a number of mods It never fails to amaze me how many cyber fans this club has that rarely show up yet spout their nonsense and undying love of the club on here Like it or not I'm Nottingham Forest and ICT although I seriously am questioning the latter with some of the roasters on here Dougal I only missed 1 home game this season, do I pass the Dougal barometer of supporterdom? I wanted RC to be promoted and I hope they stay up along with us for seasons to come. Benefits us both financially and interms of support. People can dislike County if they want as much as they want, helps fuel the fire and makes things more interesting, I've lost could of the folk who've said that they can't wait for the ICT v RC games next season (from both sides of the bridge). You might be happy to go and watch RC play but I certainly would not and I would imagine 99.9% of ICT would feel the same. If I felt the need to take in some different footie I'd go to watch Inverness City or perhaps even a Clach game but I don't get thinking behind going to watch RC as an ICT supporter. The only time I will be going to Dingwall for a game will be to support ICT in a thorough thrashing of travelling people. Think you are way out on your percentage analysis Fraz. Perhaps it might reflect the CTO membership (probably not in my opinion) but in no way does in provide a balance of our support or County's. I am well aware of many people who regularly visit both grounds although have a preference for one or the other. Reckon there will be plenty, especially older fans, who buy season tickets for both grounds in the hope of having an SPL match at home every Saturday. I'm not one of the County haters either. Hope they do well against all but ICT. Want to see Highland football really cemented into theScotiish game and make treks up and down the A9 even more painful for our friends. I will also take in games at Dingwall no doubt. Love my football, especially when it's played properly. The game will always come first for me. If it's played best by my team, that's a bonus! I'm basing my percentage on the fact that I've never spoken to anyone in real life that actively attend both grounds (and thus suppport them both). IMO if you attend a ground with any kind of regularity and put money in their coffers then you are a de facto supporter of that team like it or not. I could sort of see why people might go and watch RC when they were in a different division to us and therefore not in direct competition to us but now that they are as an ICT supporter I can't understand it. I appreciate that there are people who just want to 'take in a game' who may not have a close affiliation to ICT but that's different. As for being a fan of football first I, even if RC were playing silky samba style football and ICT were hoofing it all over the place *cough cough* I would still not go and watch them, I am an ICT supporter first and as I mentioned in my previous post there are other football alternatives (not to mention ICT away). I would find it strange if a Dundee Utd fan regularly attended Dundee game or a Rangers fan attended Celtic games. Clearly you, others you mention (not to mention Dougal) see it differently from me and I'm not trying to say that you are any less of a supporter or anything like that because everyone supports the team in different ways. To me though it's just strange and I canne fathom it.
  2. Sorry Luke but that sounds like he's away to me.
  3. Pretty dull and crap 1st half from both teams. We looked far better and had more confidence after Tansey scored a great free kick. Started looking more dangerous and won what looked to me to be a fair penalty which was well taken by Hayes. Decent second half overall and at least we ended this dire season on a happy note. Hayes/Tokes, please stay!

  5. Penalty 2-0 Hayes! :)
  6. Cracking free kick from Tansey! 1-0. Tade and A Shinnie off for OTJ and Sutherland.
  7. Brilliant 'All the Single Ladies' dancing from Nessie! :D
  8. Captivating first half....

Yet Hogg gets a contract, not to mention OTJ. Exactly my point Fraz, how many more suspect players can we afford ???? Remember the two you mention have good experience, that goes in their favour. I agree which was why I was very surprised when we gave Hogg a new contract but on balance the young lad will be getting pennies compared to the other two so I'd say it would be nowhere near the same financial risk.
  10. Where exactly do you sleep at the Essich roundabout? Just got visions of several tents pitched in the middle of it! Or is it a cheeky night at the Lochardil House Hotel? :-p

  12. "We need the Old Firm in the SPL for us to survive" Is that a fact or hyperbole? I'm now rather worried about our finances!
  13. FFS what a joke, if they did not have enough information to make a decision whay not request it prior to the meeting? What a waste of time, seems our league is run by gutless cowards unable to make the hard decisions whatever they may be. The fans (yes remember them) deserve to know. No decision to be made until May 30th, (I believe) most clubs early bird discounts for season tickets expire on May 30th. Coincidence? Mmmmm Edit- Added 2nd paragraph
  14. FWIW I think there are many posters on here who have wished RC the best. I've got nothing personal against them as one of my friends plays for them. I find it a bit rich coming from you who constantly uses the word orc. Are u saying it's ok to throw abuse at one team but not another? In a nutshell dry your eyes and quit talking pish. EDIT - autocorrect
  15. Mon' Charles this thread is clearly an attempt to deflect from the fact that it was you!
  16. Confidence is not high. Realistically I'll settle for some finishing above County and some entertaining home games, with performances containing some passion. Anything else is a bonus.
  17. Discount could be offered to those renewing to help compensate for the pain and suffering they have had inflicted upon them at some of the home performances this season.
  18. To be fair I think he's been better in the second half of the season. It's a moot point though as it doesn't matter how bad Foran is playing, Butcher's never gonna get rid of the golden boy!
  19. MacKay COULD come good with the right type of service and patrner. Tansey is pretty overrated IMO flatters to decieve too often for me, I often forget he's on the pitch. Would be great to have Blackie back, but as others have said I doubt we could afford him.

    Goodbye SPL

Alex Don't think the tax case has been decided yet one way or another so not sure if we can yet say, they have broken the law of the land yet. The practice of minimising how much tax you pay is not illegal but certainly to me immoral and if HMRC succeed in their case against rangers, there are a lot of clubs in England who will be very worried indeed. I think we need to wait and see what the fallout is before we all rush to make decisions on what, for many, is a very emotive issue. My own view is that if rangers become a newco, then they should be relegated to the third division regardless of what the finacial fall out is as this then gives the SPL a huge chance to chance the face of Scottish football. While that may take a few years and will cause finacial hardship for some clubs, in the long run, it must improve the situation. I, for one, will still be in my usual seat next season supporting my team. I'm sure someone will correct me if I have my wires crossed but I'm sure I read that they have not paid their tax this season and that was one of the reasons for them entering administration.
  21. They can most likely offer a much better financial deal than us. If he does leave us he could do far better and Aderdeen are not much of a progression career (in terms of quality) wise.
  22. FFS I canne be bothered walking upstairs sometimes! Absolute respect for you guys, all the best!
  23. Never mind that. Special beer/whisky prices at the stadium for poor lonely deserted husbands! :drinking04:
