  1. 5-2 I wish I had the ability to erase opposition goals from my mind!
  2. On 8/8/88 I started a part-time job in Presto (which later became Safeway) on the deli counter. ?1.10 an hour, plus all the cheese you could eat. When some schoolmates and I were arranging a camping trip, I was tasked with getting some picnic food for it. They complemented me on the lovely pork pies, not knowing I had smuggled them out down my trousers.

    Deja Brew

"7,500 ICT fans squeezed into Donald Park today hoping to see some blood and guts, and a more solid performance at the rear"
  4. Very well, I would expect. Mutual respect, and understanding of the difficulties playing and settling abroad. And both have humble origins in the depressing surroundings of communist tower blocks in the East. :016:
  5. Bad news for those who were dusting off their old "Brewster 25" top!

It's the most controversial appointment we have ever made and the club's senior management have knowingly put themselves in the firing line. What's done is done, it's now time to start winning.
  7. It's just a pity there is so little time to move players on and find replacements, because I think Brewster has shown himself to be a good judge and is not afraid to be ruthless.

    Duncan

Did anyone see Duncan and Munro having a few angry words in the 2nd half on Saturday? Not sure who started it.
  9. He ought to come in for Bayne. But he may give it a few games in the dugout first to suss out the problems with the team.
  10. I'm disappointed that we are ending up with Brewster. But at least in his first spell we were always very organised and hard to beat, and that's what we need to get back to before we can even contemplate winning with style.
  11. Alternatively, the Pied Piper has led an angry mob of impressionable fans on a trip to Roswell.
  12. It's incredible the number of people who think they know "what is really going on". They don't. It has always been the case in the business of football that whispers and tales emanate from sources who are not quite as reliable or informed as they claim to be, or insiders who have their own agenda or axe to grind.
  13. It was rather embarassing when he lost out on a header to wee Gomis.
  14. He certainly has class. The questionmarks over fitness, pace and workrate remain. He will continue to improve, but will he be better than Brewster?
  15. Wilson was excellent when he came on today, he really got stuck in. Never seen him try so hard.
  16. I hope a few folk on here are feeling sheepish about slating the Board for not appointing someone who was never interested.
  17. What you experienced was just NHS internal policy, very common in public sector. There are no such legal requirements.
  18. Some will go anywhere for the sake of their career, other won't go more than 20 miles from home.
  19. Come off it, we all know geographic remoteness is a factor for ICT. It's the reeason why we lost our best 2 captains ever, and why we have missed out on signing targets. But getting pack to the title of the thread, could the cynics please tell me when ourboard have ever let us down - from taking risks on Paterson, Robertson, brewster and Christie, to groundsharing at Pittodrie, getting the stands built, making a profit 3 years in a row..... Some people have very short memories, and I sometimes feel they would be better off supporting one of the Old Firm.
  20. Clubs don't announce a new manager and say "Well, we didn't really want him, but ........" Our club also has a great record of conducting it's business in private and not through the media. Is it not unprofessional to announce publicly why you have rejected certain candidates? The board's discretion is being used as fuel by the grassy knoll brigade.
  21. Yes, because discussions always start with an agent. Who knows, perhaps we enquired with the agent who told us Warnock wanted a ?250,000 salary, to bring in his own backroom team on ?100,000 each, a ?1m transfer kitty, and to only be in Inverness 2 days a week? I am disappointed we are going back to Brewster, but can't be doing with people who have chosen to crucify the board despite not knowing the facts.
  22. If Warnock actually wanted the job, he would have applied for it, or made some kind of contact with the club?
