I think we need to dominate the game early and not let County get a foot in the game as we know after yesterday their bus will be well and truly parked. Brill Raven Warren Meekings Shinnie Doran Tansey Christie Williams Mckay Watkins
  2. How do you think we should approach this one with the likes of Rooney, Hayes, McGinn etc all playing well. We obviously won't have Draper through suspension. My Team: 4-4-2 Brill Raven Warren Meekings Shinnie Doran Tansey Christie Williams Watkins Mckay Subs: Esson, Tremarco, Devine, Ross, Vincent, Polworth, Sekajja

I don't but we have already been through that discussion
  4. Apparently the boy Brophy that scored a hat-trick today has scored 3 hat tricks in their last four games (including today) that is some feat. Hamilton have always been miles ahead with their youth development.
  5. Apologises, was busy the second half and missed the Twitter updates. FT: 7-1 to Hamilton
  6. 2-0 Hamilton, Docherty
  7. Hamilton take the lead through Brophy in the 18th minute.
  8. Team vs Hamilton: Mackay, Stark, Howarth, Baptie, Brown, Sutherland, Ferguson, Blackett, Sekajja, Wilson, Hull
  9. I'm not so sure about that one. After watching the highlights, I don't think Draper had any vicious intentions whilst making the jump. Of course, he could have handle it a bit better but I personally think was trying to get out of the challenge and ended up catching Lappin in the aftermath - a yellow card at best
  10. Was at the game and I actually thought the best team of the game lost. St Johnstone were no great shakes and got the rub of the green. Got to win next weekend against Aberdeen though.

I don't think there is much of need as much as there used to be. Watkins has put decent shifts up front, Christie could play up there and obviously Mckay. That's three decent cover and also you have Calum Ferguson in the U20s who could be considered a fourth back up. It's disappointing that Sekajja is not getting the game time to show what he can do but that's been the case many times before (Agdestein, Winall, Oswell etc.)

I don't buy that and that's not me being a happy-clapper saying the boys are perfect in every way etc etc. I think we have a decent, well ground bunch of lads. I don't buy into them being sidetracked by interest from other clubs. This annual slump that we've had in the past seasons have been because of various other reasons such as transitional period, Heavy pitches and large amount of games. Of course, interest from other clubs can't be ignored but the lads are professional enough to keep a 'one game at a time' mind set.

In all honesty, I don't think we will have a busy January transfer window. As I understand it, Sekajja will be leaving the club when his deal is up (according to the courier) I can't see Lewis Horner leaving the club until at least his deal is up in the summer - unless he scored a loan deal elsewhere till summer. I really can't envision Graeme Shinnie leaving until his deal expires too. It would take a big transfer fee to make him or Watkins, Meekings, Mckay and Tansey etc to move in January. I think we may recruit a couple loans for back up but I am not bothered about bringing in anyone if it meant that we can get new deals signed for Watkins and co.
  14. We still have been passing back to Brill a fair few times even when playing well. I don't think its as big as an issue as it was last season IMO.

Just come across an interesting stat: "Inverness have the most settled team in this season's Premiership - made just 9 changes to their starting line-up across 16 league games."

I think it's a bit obvious that the team is crying out for change. Doran and Christie's introduction at Dens last weekend should have been enough to warrant them a place in the starting line up. Regarding the tactics (shape of the team) I do think it's still working, if Marley scored the chance that went by the post in the first half then we would have seen a different game and would have dominated the game in my opinion. For the tactic to be affective, it's vital we score the first goal. Granted last weekend we didn't score the first goal but the difference was in the second half of last weekend we ramped up the intensity that was lacking last Saturday. I watched the Manchester United game yesterday and I found it quite inspiring with the style they pass the ball (one touch pass and move) that's a style that we should implement in my opinion - up the tempo and try and dominate the game early. I would like to see the likes of Daniel Devine, Carl Tremarco, Liam Polworth and Ibra Sekajja to a degree who don't get a fair crack of the whip but if we tamper with the team too much then the hard work that's already been done will become undone.

Not sure we should play St Johnstone with 10 players!

Wouldn't mind Nick Ross starting aswell but don't think we should make too many changes.
  19. A good interview with Yogi - worth a listen.

Unfortunately, I think the days of Richie being our talisman are behind us. He's obviously taking a while to regain fitness after what's clearly been a bad knee injury. These things often take longer to recover from at 34-years-old than at 24-years-old! But I feel he'll be a peripheral figure when he's fit for selection. Initially he's going to be so far off the pace - he's going to need a few Development League games, one would imagine. On a different note, has Ibra Sekajja just not been good enough? His contract is up soon and he's hardly featured! Apparently Sekajja will be leaving when his deal is up.

4-5-1 Brill Raven Warren Meekings Shinnie Doran Tansey Draper Christie Watkins Mckay
  22. I found it mindboggling that people around me left the game 10 mins into the second half.
  23. Eh? Raven is a feckin donkey ! we need a right back for sure. no ICT player can put their hand up and say they tried today, they were a total mess, no effort no attitude and def. no idea how to combat Parpricks in the face football. Brill also needs to look at his performance, he was a shambles apart from his one good save. Really disappointed with the team. hope this in not a collapse like last season at this stage. That's a pretty harsh assessment IMO. Raven was all over the pitch defending and pushing forward, even covering at left back when Shinnie wandered over to the right in the first half. The 'goal' that he scored should have stood from my angle in the main stand but will watch highlights tomorrow. In no way is David Raven a 'donkey', if anything at times I would class him as an unsung hero. I also think its a harsh analogy to say the players didn't try, of course they tried. In all honesty we were defeated by a good football team today- it happens!
  24. All in all, I thought we were beaten by the better team today. Partick Thistle done really well with keeping the ball on the ground and moved the ball a lot quicker and catching us on the fast break which ultimately saw them come out comfortable winners today. I felt that after such a good performance at Dens, Christie and Doran should have been in the starting eleven today but we kept things very similar and played pretty much like we did in the first half of the game last weekend. Got to win next weekend - United and Aberdeen only a point behind.
