  1. If Aberdeen beat Ross County tomorrow night then they will be on the same points tally as us also factoring that Kilmarnock and Dundee are 3 and 4 points behind us respectively. It's not ridiculous to say the next two games are must wins - they really are if we want to stake a claim in the top 3/top six Dont think so. We're on 23 and Aberdeen on 19 at the moment. Apologies, my maths skills are pish!

  4. Top Six still remains my minimum expectation but I think if we win our next two games then I don't see why we can't go for 3rd place.
  5. Because football is a magical sport which is why so many people love it, anything could happen. You cant expect a result cause i mean some people expected us to get destroyed by celtic today but we didn't, some expected us to go massively down hill after TB let us but we haven't. If we have European aspirations, its vital to pick up 6 points in our next two games IMO. We have the team to do it hence why I'm like IHE expecting us to do so.
  6. Hamilton's bubble will burst, Motherwell can't buy a win and we are unbeaten at home. How is it wrong to expect two wins from two.
  7. I personally thought that the team selected today was actually quite a positive one purely on the basis that it was the best team on current form. I wasn't at the game today but I will have to agree with you about Vincent playing on the wings as I don't think he is as comfortable out their than he is in a central role which we seen him play last weekend very well but he may have move about during the game so I can't really make any comments about that. Marley Watkins is our top goalscorer and he has the pace and strength to hold up the ball so surely it makes sense to play him up top while he's on form. Listening on the radio today it sounded like he could have put us in front in the first half, so surely it wasn't all bad him playing up front. Billy Mckay needed to start on the bench today and possibly a few more games. Harsh as that may sound, but you have to look at the positive aspect of bringing him into the game late, we should have had a late equaliser but it wasn't meant to be. Hats off to Yogi though, going to celtic park and not playing Mckay from the start is a bold move but it was the right decision. End of the day, I would rather lose narrowly 1-0 than get horsed 5-0 and 6-0
  8. Wonder where Sekajja was?
  9. Apparently on Sportsound, Billy Mckay on the bench and Tremarco comes in. Brill Raven Warren Meekings Tremarco Williams Tansey Draper Shinnie Vincent Watkins
  10. Other than him, Celtic don't really pose too much of a threat. We have the ability to beat them, so let's go for it!'Celtic don't really pose too much of a threat' says Roughi - but goes for a 4-1 Celtic win in Gringo's NPL prediction league! If you take Guidetti out of their team, they ain't nothing special...but I wouldn't take what I say on the NPL for granted, I had us to win 6-1 at St Mirren... What do I know

I really want an away trip to Hearts or Hibs.
  13. Possibly, not all were signed. He might have "brought them up" for trials and transfer talks which never came to anything. I see that Kyle Whyte has now gone on loan to junior side Nairn Saint Ninian. I seem to recollect some people saying that they thought he'd make the grad with us. Surprised at Kyle Whyte, thought he was scoring goals for Clach? Was pretty decent against us back in July.
  14. 5-1 Ryan Baptie scored from a free kick
  15. 5-0 Killie, Lee Miller
  16. 4-0 Killie, Lee Miller
  17. 3-0 Killie, Muirhead hat-trick
  18. 2-0 Killie, Muirhead again.
  19. 1-0 Killie. Muirhead
  20. Game with the Killie just kicked off and the team is: Hoban, Horner, Howarth, Baptie, Brown, Polworth, Devine, Wilson, Ferguson, Sekajja, Sutherland
  21. I was at the Rangers game and I felt that we gave Rangers too much respect and didn't press them high enough and then they got their lucky goal. If we were a bit more ruthless, we would have trounced them IMO. The cup final, I think that's when Yogi was starting to implement the passing style of play and again at that time it was a new style that the players weren't adapted to yet and again we didn't press Aberdeen high enough meaning they could sit back and play for penalties which played into their advantage having 30K fans on their side. In my opinion we were definitely good enough to win the final but we didn't press them enough to win it. All that being said, now I feel we are at a happy medium where the players have hammered home the style of play that the gaffer wants to play and in my opinion they have got the style of play sussed to a tee now. If we played the cup final tomorrow, I'm convinced we would walk out of Glasgow with silverware. As they say, time is a great healer.
  22. I can understand your point Sneckboy, I agree with you about his movement and I would go as far as saying he was more effective on the wings in the second half of the Ross County than he has been up front this season. The frustrating part for me is the chances being squandered and we have Sekajja on the bench who could possibly tuck them away. As I stressed earlier in the thread, for Mckay to be dropped it's not the end of the world. The use of the word "dropped" is probably harsher than it sounds but if he gets "rested" for a couple of games it then gives him time to rest, reflect and gain a bit of self confidence and the hunger to succeed. Competition is very healthy for a football team and Mckay being used as an impact sub for a few games could be of great benefit of the team.
  23. I feel that John Hughes has done a good job with us on the basis that we are still maintaining our status as a top six side. In truth Yogi's reign at ICT could have gone horribly wrong for the reasons already stated (Mass exodus, drop in form etc) In the first few months of his tenure, I wasn't overly keen on the style of play because at times the players seemed quite alienated to the idea of playing in our own half because under Butcher it was attack, attack. I kept saying to myself to wait and see what happens with a proper pre season under his belt and the style of play and absolutely we are seeing the nice, slick football and yes it's very easy on the eye. I personally thought that last Saturday's match was easy on the eyes and quite an enthralling match between two good football teams. I do also share the thoughts of Renegade regarding the Rangers and Cup Final games. I felt that both Rangers and Aberdeen were there for the taking and if we pressed them more, we could be sitting here as Cup Winners 2014 and still in the cup etc. Absolutely Yogi deserves all the credit, joint top of the table in October is something to be proud of but for me the most important time period for ICT is the winter period, when we have our annual 'slump', when the weather starts affecting the pitches and of course we don't have a two week break in January so it's going to be intense. As Yogi says let's roll the sleeves up and have a go at it!
