The fact we have a 12 point cushion over six placed St Johnstone is more significant at this stage which could be extended to 15 if they lose the match tomorrow night vs Aberdeen and we win on Saturday. Anyways on the topic of Tuesday night, a very classy performance from us and I thought guys like Tremarco and Ross were impressive. It will be difficult to predict the team on Saturday but one thing we know is we really do have quality in depth!

It's a selection headache for Yogi that's for sure. I think based on Tremarco's recent form, he merits starting the game on Saturday. Despite having a decent game last night, I'm still not a fan Shinnie of playing at right back so Raven returning would be my preferred option. Tansey returning to the side is a no brainier for me and unfortunately Williams will most likely be the fall guy to be replaced. So the real question is who plays on Saturday, Shinnie or Tremarco?

Change is needed for guys that are missing this game through suspension. For me personally, I'm not a fan of Shinnie playing at right back and would rather see Daniel Devine get a chance at centre half and move Meekings over to right back where he started when he joined the club so that position is no stranger to him. With my suggested shape of the team, it's not too different from the current one. Draper being a holding midfielder and you have Nick Ross doing a similar job to Tansey from going to box to box and then Christie being the playmaker behind Mckay and obviously two wingers in Doran and Watkins.

Game with St Johnstone tomorrow, what should be the starting eleven. I assume that David Raven is sitting this one out and I am led to believe Tansey is also out through suspension due to reaching a certain number of yellow cards this season. Right back replacing a left back? - fair enough. Granted Mark Wilson would be a decent enough signing but money if available would be better spent elsewhere IMO. I do think we could do with another striker as the general consensus is now that Mckay could be elsewhere next season. Do we need another striker this season? - not particularly especially with Calum Ferguson on the ranks already. Just while we are speaking of strikers, I noticed Gregory Tade is now a free agent

I see in the daily express again that Marley Watkins' agent is talking up the interest in Poland, Scotland and England for Marley - Can't see him staying unfortunately.

I've watched Nicky Low in a couple a few seasons back in U20 games vs us and I thought he was pretty good when seeing him. He also made an appearance in the cup final vs us and scored one of the penalties. He is only 23, so lot of time to learn and I think we could make him a decent player if we were given the chance to sign him. Higgenbotham is a very skilful player and I think he could be a direct replacement should Watkins leave but just comes down to finances.

In my opinion, Josh Meekings and David Raven are crucial re-signings for next year and beyond. I would like Billy Mckay and Marley Watkins to re-sign but they can be replaced easier if they do decide to go at the end of their contract.

Greg Tansey signed a new 2 and a half year deal!

According to today's daily express, Slask Woclaw along with Hearts and St Johnstone are interested in signing Marley Watkins.

Heard at the game last Sunday that Mckay was actually intending to re-signing for us whereas Watkins and Ross were looking at other options. Meekings and Raven should also be re-signing.

I thought that we played well enough in most spells of the game, the chances were coming and as Yogi said the luck wasn't on our side - a draw in my opinion would have been the fairer result. Yes, losing three games on the trot without scoring is disappointing but the chances have been begging. As Davie says, the St Johnstone game was won by one poor refereeing decision but we didn't play badly last week, same case with yesterday. I thought Aberdeen's keeper had a brilliant game yesterday and that is enough of a teller that there is movement up front. The thing that irked me yesterday was the lack of substitutions made by Yogi. In my opinion guys like Danny Williams, Nick Ross and James Vincent can change games. If you look back at the Dundee away game a few weeks back, look at how much Ryan Christie and Aaron Doran changed that second half - why wasn't that done yesterday? I was happy for Ibra Sekajja to feature but for the final 5 mins was just a waste, 20 mins plus would have been a better shout. Anyways a massive game coming up on Thursday afternoon - we will win it!

I also think this type of game suits tremarco but would like to see us return to our usual back four.
