That wouldn't be any different to yesterday IMO. We played Watkins and Mckay up front yesterday and yes it was working but Mckay just couldn't hit the net unfortunately. He is one yellow card away from a suspension. I thought he was due to miss yesterday but it's 6 before a suspension.

Totally agree with you IHE - give them too much respect and we will suffer for it like we did with their city rivals. We should use Hamilton's approach and have a right good go at them and we should get the three points.

I totally understand your point but I personally feel that 1 goal in 11 league games isn't a great record of Mckay's abilities. Getting into goal scoring opportunities is all well and good but frankly he isn't scoring goals at the moment - If Billy Mckay was on the same form as the last two seasons, he would have scored a hat-trick today! In my opinion being dropped isn't the worst thing in the world for a footballer, look at how well Aaron Doran reacted after being dropped by Yogi this season. We just signed Ibra Sekajja who has scored 2 goals in 2 U20 games so we don't lack alternatives. Competition is healthy so let Sekajja challenge Mckay spot I say.

Inverness CT v Dundee Utd
I thought today we controlled the game very well and reaped the rewards for it. I personally thought due to the amount of chances we created, we should have won the game more comfortably than we did. I felt that playing two up top was far more effective than Mckay up solo which Watkins played a blinder with today and scored another decent goal. I felt Vincent coming into a central role again was played very well, far more better than him being stuck on the wings - he looked more comfortable with the ball today. I felt sorry for Billy Mckay today and some of the chances he had today he just squandered. Today was a game where I actually felt where he was getting service and he made great movement but his end product just isn't here at the moment. I'd be inclined to drop him next weekend regardless of Celtic being the opposition. - 1 goal in the 11 league games for him isn't the best. I was a bit disappointed that Sekajja didn't feature today and we went for Nick Ross up front - didn't understand that one in all honesty. Anyways, 3 massive points and joint top of the table - couldn't ask for anymore at this stage!

What about Vincent back in as a direct replacement for Christie? I don't think he's played that role since before he got injured IIRC

How many nationalities have played at the TCS
Interestingly enough, we've had a Chilean score against us (Pinilla) but the game was at Tynecastle.

Just had a look to see who the referee is today: Kevin Clancy.

Only changes i would make is swap doran and watkins put them on the opposite wings and swap polworth for draper Watkins always plays on the right hand side and occasionally switches with Doran throughout the game anyways.

As mentioned by and confirmed by the SFA, only Ryan Christie suspended for tomorrow. Apparently it is six yellow cards not 5 as I thought. So he will be available after all!

Game tomorrow with Dundee United and we are facing them without the availability of Ryan Christie through suspension. Who should be his replacements? Should we go two up front with Sekajja and Mckay? My team would be: 4-4-2 Brill Raven Warren Meekings Shinnie Watkins Tansey Draper Doran Sekajja Mckay

Development League info. (2014/15)
Given that the screenshot doesn't show the full back line, it might have not been last man. There's no such thing as 'last man' anymore. It does my nut in hearing that call on the football pitch and on the terrace. Fair enough, denying goal scoring opportunity etc.

To be fair it looks a tight call but free kick should have been the awarded.

Contract Situation
Great indeed but hopefully Shinnie, Tansey, Watkins, Raven and Mckay all follow suit!

Sounds like a good defensive performance Davie going by yours and IHE's posts. We do play well in terrible weather conditions too if you can recall Hearts last December!

Wasn't there yesterday but how did we fair tactically? Similar to County second half?

Ibra Sekajja
Well with Christie unavailable for next weekend, hopefully we see Sekajja and Mckay up front.

Saint Mirren v Caley Thistle 18/10/2014
Well I certainly wouldn't drop neither Draper nor Tansey and sticking Christie deeper. Mckay up front on his own isn't working and the second half of the Ross County game is evident that two up front is more effective than just one. Granted Christie is a decent prospect from Inverness etc but For the sake of the team, I would rather play Sekajja and Mckay and then bring on Christie for half an hour if we choose to play one up front at that point of the game. I don't agree with you regarding Aaron Doran, I thought Yogi was wrong to take him off in the Derby when he did.

We must play like we did in the second half of the Ross County game - not the first! With that I think we should have the same formation that we had in the second half of that game too. My team: 4-4-1-1 Brill Raven Warren Meekings Shinnie Doran Draper Tansey Christie Watkins Mckay I wouldn't put Sekajja on straight away unless if he's fit enough and raring to go then I would swap Christie for Sekajja and then put Watkins back on the wing with Sekajja and Mckay up front (4-4-2)
