John Hughes--The Real Deal.
That's absolutely true but in truth he could have implemented the passing style of play and the players alienate to idea of changing the style of play completely as they have stuck to one system consistently for a season and a half and didn't adapt well to it and dropping in form but thankfully we have a talented bunch of players that have adapted to another way of thinking. That in my opinion was his biggest task and he's succeeded but if he has to re build then so be it but I have complete faith as he brought back a resurgent Greg Tansey.

John Hughes--The Real Deal.
In my opinion the biggest test for John Hughes was to maintain what Butcher had started and please the expecting fans (myself included) and I think he has done that ssuccessfully but having time to reflect I think he's gone a step further than Butcher. What struck me the most last Saturday was how far ahead of Motherwell we were with our passing - it was quick, intelligent and smooth. If you look at the last few seasons, you would have to say that Motherwell were some kind of bogey team of ours scoring 4 plus. To pass them off the park like we done takes some doing and that comes down to the management. I personally thought some of the passing had shades of Russell Latapy in his prime about it. Yeah absolutely if John Hughes has to re build a squad then I would also consider it a massive test but if we keep going the way we are then hopefully he won't have much to do in summer to prepare for the Europa league qualifiers. The thing that I like the most after reading the article is that John Hughes believes in his players in a way that his predecessor didn't.

Inverness CT -V- Motherwell
Very intelligent performance from the lads today. I noticed today that Motherwell were trying to play it patient against us and it didn't work as we were miles ahead of them with our passing - their goal coming from a fast break. So glad we have got the passing style of play nailed to a tee cause we are reaping the rewards for it now. Yogi - hats off to you!

His contract is up in the summer. Be interesting how we deal with him considering we let Adam Evans go last season.

That could be said for other players i.e Daniel Devine, Nick Ross etc. Can't see Nick playing at left back TBH. I was more directing my response on your second sentence but Nick Ross at left back could be in with a shout considering he was playing up front a few weeks back vs Dundee United.

To be fair to the club, they are only preserving the pitch for the weekends game vs Motherwell. With that being said Elgin does seem an obscure place to hold it especially at 6pm but in my opinion the pitch at Borough Briggs is a darn sight better than OTB and Grant Street park. Wonder if the GES was available (obviously not)

Ex-ICT players' news
Quite surprised at Elgin being down the bottom. I went to their opening game of the season and they performed pretty well with Marvin Andrews getting the MOTM as a trialist. - must be his age that's playing a part. I have to admit though, Brora vs Elgin in a play-off final would be an interesting watch.

Shinnie for Scotland
Absolutely agree, I am taking the shinnie news today with a pinch of salt (notice how Graeme hasn't directly stated he wants to leave himself) There's something about it that smacks of ramping up the pressure on ICT to offer more cash and get other clubs like Aberdeen sniffing about. As for other players that contracts are due up next season, I hope they are tied up as sooner rather than later - The only thing that worries me is the fact that they can speak to other clubs in January.

Shinnie for Scotland
Was having a conversation over Twitter with a few of ours fans who were saying on the similar lines that a few might be joining Shinnie (if he is indeed leaving) also the previous poster before me suggested the same hence why I said a mass exodus predicted. The players above can also speak to other clubs in January without permission of the club. Watkins must be gaining a lot of interest recently same with Tansey, Meekings, Mckay.

Projected Team if all the above leave: Brill Blank Blank Warren Tremarco Doran Vincent Draper Williams Christie Blank Subs: Esson, Foran, Blank, Blank, Blank, Blank, Blank,

If there will be a mass exodus as predicted, this could make or break Yogi's ICT career.

Richie Foran
Latapy demoting to first team coach with Foran stepping up as Assistant would be my wild guess.

Heard last Saturday he has been spending time at Largs. Wouldn't be surprised to see him in the dug out next season IMO.
