That's good and bad news.

With your pro Hartley stance, we can assume he is on the shortlist?

With Paul Hartley being 37 and Richie Foran 33, I wonder if there would be any confliction but I trust Richie would be professional throughout should Hartley get the job. Likewise with Hartley with the job but that's one thing about young managers you wonder about.

Paul Hartley fits our bill the most. We tend to go and get young managers (except Butcher) who end up doing very well. Sure it will be annoying if we get Hartley then he moves on to another club but least we would make a profit in doing so! Team Hartley!

What a set up that would be!! Unfortunately I would think that the salaries combined would be out with our budget That's what I thought but I'm sure we could survive without Levein and it would still be a great management team.

If it was down to Paul Hartley and Craig Levein then what about this; DOF: Craig Levein Manager: Paul Hartley Assistant: Paddy Connolly or Colin Cameron or Jimmy Nicholl (Hartley's choice) GK Coach: Craig Gordon Coach: John Robertson (If he was interested in coaching role)

My prediction of the three named shortlist: Paul Hartley, Craig Levein and Henrik Larsson Then over the weekend it's meant to go to two which then... Paul Hartley vs Craig Levein

Jimmy Calderwood?

If that's true then he will probably get the job. He is whats delaying the decision, so i've been told but we shall see. Wouldn't be disappointed if he got the job to be honest as long as he has his Dundee United form. Celtic legend that is/got interviewed will probably be Larsson hence why the Highland News that added him out of nowhere.

I can't find any odds online, checked both Paddy Power and McBookie. Care to elaborate for the rest of us?

I'm sorry but why would Paul Hartley choose two highland league managers to join him?

Also SPFL are going to help with our travel arrangements.

After thinking about it, our only safest option would be Kenny Shiels and Jimmy Nicholl.

Would be good but he is in about the Norwich job supposedly.

I think having someone of Henrik's stature might have a positive outcome with the crowds. Read today that he went from 16/1 to 3/1. He is my second choice behind Paul Hartley. Good Points - Massive player, who could get people through the turnstyles. Could potentially help the club hoover-up Celtic-leaning Highland fans, who (if they like what they see) could change allegiance to ICT. Supposedly plays an entertaining, attacking style of football in a 4-3-3 formation. Name would attract players. Could potentially keep players at the club (a la Butcher). He wouldn't be an unknown to them (like Barry Wilson or somebody would). Probably loads of contacts throughout the world. Potentially more coverage of ICT abroad. Negative Points - Could potentially move on very quickly should a big team come in for him. Doesn't have the best of records as a manager in his own right, and supposedly did rather poorly considering the size of the club. Are we looking at him just because of his name? Overall, there's some very good things that someone like Larsson (or someone of that ilk) could bring to the club. If he needs anything, he'd need an experienced assistant, Jimmy Nicholl or someone like that. I'd certainly back him if he got it. I think someone like John Hartson would be a good assistant for Henrik. John Hartson would be more up to date with the happenings with Scottish Football than Larsson would.

Thanks for the clarification. At least the fans are back in the loophole of things again instead of relying on the press. From a personal point of view, I am gutted that we are not appointing a manager till next week but I trust the board to get this absolutely correct. No disrespect to Morton but we are in a case where we didn't need to rush an appointment for this game so having Duncan Shearer and Scott Kellacher in the dugout makes sense. Interesting to see we didn't deny the Paul Hartley story and instead mentioned about the other clubs that are involved. I wonder if indeed Derek Adams did apply for the job

Daily Record saying that Paul Hartley is going to be having talks with us today, also goes on to say we've talked to Kenny Shiels and John Hughes.

Seemingly, Paddy Connolly used to be a scout for Fulham, so he must have some ability. Perhaps that's one of the key reasons ICT are going for Hartley, knowing he'll bring Connolly with him and he can in-turn replace Marsella. Seen a suggestion about Craig Gordon coming in as a GK coach. That would be a good move IMO.

ICTFC U20s
Yeah vs Motherwell a couple weeks ago they did and a few last season but did really well today to get an equaliser so quickly after going 2-1 down.

ICTFC U20s
Was at the game today. It was a very entertaining afternoon but very cold though! I would say the ICT U20 dominated for the first hour and then Falkirk made two changes and we started to slack and then Falkirk scored the two goals to gain back the lead and I was really impressed with the way that the U20s got their heads down and thankfully soon after Falkirk scored their second they got the equaliser. In the first half I was impressed with Cameron MacKay. He seems a very good shot stopper and made very good saves today. Ben Greenhalgh had a good game at left wing too. Ryan Christie was another one who seems to be consistent with the U20s and also Conor Pepper. 2-2 was probably a fair score but we should of won the game within the first hour.

Where have we heard this before Exactly my thoughts! In a way he isn't lying as the club haven't spoken to him, only Alloa chairman for permission. Weve learnt to take everything said with pinch of salt and if he wasnt a priority we wouldnt have approached him. Odds havent been shortening on Hartley for nothing. Hoping all this is sorted and we get him. Got a good feeling that he is the right man for the job. Both BBC and STV are saying we approached, nobody has denied we have approached. Clarification from the club would be nice IMO If the club jumped to release a statement every time the press/media chose to speculate over something then they'd have no time to do anything else. I understand that but surely with the claims being so advanced the club could confirm or deny the story. I have seen permission asked and also permission granted.

Clarification from the club would be nice IMO I disagree. In my view, both clubs are doing things in the right way in conducting their business in private. You're correct but just leaves the fans unaware of the situation unfortunately. I just want this deal to go through! Team Hartley
