Women at ICT games
Naelifts, I'm glad you posted that before I saw this post, what a complete load of trash this post is and can't believe so many have even graced it with a response. Dougal, seriously start thinking about what you post as you're in danger of being alienated from here with some of the crap you post. A large majority of ICT fans are female and who cares, maybe you go through the turnstile that says 'male only' but last time I looked a very large proportion of fans are female and not just at ICT!!!! How can we promote the game to more people when sexist views like like this are always on show, thanks god you're not on the SFA committee that is promoting the game to families across the whole spectrum of football to try and encourage bigger gates etc. I'd hate to hear what you would say during that.

Matchnight Thread: Aberdeen -V- ICT
Reports today are that he'll be out for possibly the rest of the season with knee ligament damage, a bad injury for anyone but another excuse for McGhee to use

Matchnight Thread: Aberdeen -V- ICT
Not long back from the game and finally I've thawed out but got no voice left lol Great away win when personally I don't think we played our best but a very solid dogged performance by everyone getting stuck in when needed. Esson's save in the first half was fantastic and the penalty was one of those that you can see why it was given if you're the team it's for but livid if it's against you but who cares haha. I do think though we missed the influence of Duncan in the middle just to put his foot on the ball and slow things down a bit and pass it about as we lumped it forward to Rooney an awful lot. On the whole absolutely delighted with the win and so many positives from it, still things to be worked on but very encouraging that while not playing to our best we can still get great away wins Final thought goes to the Aberdeen fan behind the goal who got pelted by the ball when the players were warming up, bet that tea was hot

Aberdeen roll call
Me and Caleyjag will be there, a 'home game' for us also.

Faking it
Third week we'll be following the plight of Mark, a middle aged man trying to fake it as a football manager

Does anyone remember Craig Brewster?

I'm really looking forward to it apart from the chance of possible hypothermia during or after the game. I'll be surprised if they have 4000 or 5000 at the game. I would go with the team that started against Rangers if Duncan is fit and use the midfield to control the game, without Hartley in there they don't have direction or leadership and with the pace of Hayes and strength of Rooney we should give there very poor defence a torrid time. Nothing to fear going into this game and I just don't see McGhee being able to motivate them,- ICT City Centre Shop
Unless they forgot to take all the merchandise out of the shop window then I would say that it is still open, I walked passed it a couple of weeks ago and Caleyjag walks passed it everyday and the shop is full of their stuff.- Matchday Thread: ICT -V- Motherwell
It was third placed team we were playing, and it was only a freak goal that was the difference. So its not that bad. Could be worse...could be a Dons fan!!! I only put it that way cause I don't like getting beat, not downheartened though as you said they are in third place plus they had won 4 out of 5 away this season if I'm right? If I was a Dons fan though I'd be wanting McGhee out now, it doesn't matter who you play or the injuries etc you have a 9v0 defeat is undefendable ................... or as they showed today no defence at all lol- Matchday Thread: ICT -V- Motherwell
poor home form continues- Matchday Thread: ICT -V- Motherwell
9v0............... I know this is the matchday thread but Mark McGhee is an absolute disgrace, as are Aberdeen!!!!!!- Matchday Thread: ICT -V- Motherwell
Come on Caley comeback is on!!!! I hate no knowing what's happening lol- Matchday Thread: Rangers -V- I.C.T.
Not so shure maself - it was just a case of collision - you dont ger those type of decisions at Ibrox. Cant believe that the highlights didnt include the Hayes run in the closing minutes where a cut cabck to Foran, or even Rooney would have been a sure fire winner. It's not so much a collision as Weir turns into him rather than the two colliding. Knows exactly what he's doing, but like you say, you don't get them at Ibrox. Couldn't agree more. Weir definitely deliberately turned into Foran to block off his run. There was no attempt to get the ball whatsoever. With the benefit of the replays I think this is a stonewall penalty and, debatably, a straight red for Weir. I also agree that you don't get those type of decisions at Ibrox, unless of course you are wearing a gers shirt! Nevertheless, still a brilliant result. Well done to all concerned!! At the time I said to Caleyjag I thought it should have been a penalty but at real time I wasn't sure, I've just watched the highlights and it should have been a penalty. If that was at the other end it would have been given without a thought.- Nani's goal against Tottenham
I totally agree with everyone about playing the whistle and that was my reaction when I seen it, or rather seen the reply of it because ESPN missed it. In the context of how the game went and no freekick being given it is a legitimate goal. My problem is the lineman didn't have the guts to stand up and be counted and insist that it was a freekick for the handball by Nani which should have been what happened. The other thing was the ref telling the Tottenham players to retreat but then lets Rio Ferdinand stand there giving his opinions throughout the whole time they discussed it. Thanks god it didn't happen to Celtic cause the world would have come to an end!!!- Nani's goal against Tottenham
Here's one that is sure to cause a few arguments in the pub and probably already has done. Nani's goal against Tottenham, should it have stood or not? Does it highlight the need for referee's to come out and explain decisions? For me the only way I can see that Mark Clattenberg gave the goal was because the ball was still active and he never gave a free-kick, the linesman obviously thought he had by flagging or maybe he flagged for handball by Nani when he fell over. All very strange in my opinion but for me it shouldn't have stood because Tottenham should have had a free-kick for the handball when Nani fell over. It's good to see that refereeing decisions like this are happening elsewhere and deflecting the attention away from recent events in Scottish games.- Matchday Thread: Rangers -V- I.C.T.
Just back from making a weekend of it in Glasgow and loved it especially the feeling when Odi hit the back of the net. I thought we thoroughly deserved our point and at times were slightly unlucky not the make McGregor work more with some of the chances we had. Yes they had a lot of possession but they never really looked like they were going to create anything worthwhile and if anything underestimated us. The policing/stewarding was fantastic and common sense prevailed as it should do. The only downside however from my point of view was the woman who told me to shut up twice in the same breath when all I was doing was giving encouragement to the team at a point when we were breaking and I wanted them to put the ball out wide. At no point did I criticise the team so your outburst wasn't warranted. I also noted that you never once told anyone else to 'shut up' so if you are on here reading this I hope you feel ashamed of yourself, and to note also that I didn't retort as I was so shocked. PS: Caleyjag noted that you didn't even jump up when we scored!!!- Team for the 'well
tbh I wouldn't change it as I would always have Duncan in my team and prefer to go for a bit of containment in midfield, we need to try something slightly different at home to try and change our form. The question is if you were to change it who would you take out to put Odi in? It would be unfair on all from yesterdays game to leave any of them out however I do think if TB changes it, Duncan will be the one to make way, a bad call in my opinion if it happens as it has done already this season.- Perspectives
I've been looking at the table from both sides this season and am delighted that we have the chance to go third next weekend without any other results having to go our way to make it happen, yes it's still early but is still nice to say that we have that chance. It could be the springboard the team needs to some good home form. Saying that I was slightly disappointed that St Mirren, Kilmarnock and Hamilton all won this weekend as I like to see us getting further away from them although I still believe that relegation will be battled out by these three. I will always keep an eye on the bottom of the table until mathematically we are safe.- Police and stewards at Ibrox
I wasn't worried at all about how the stewards and police would handle things yesterday as they deal with it week in week out and handle 50000 or 60000 fans a week depending were the game is (well that's when the best fans in the world turn out), did notice that a few of the boys were spoken to but that's as far as it went, from what I saw. Common sense policing and stewarding is always the way to go, a leaf needs to be taken out of Strathclyde Police' book at other stadiums around Scotland.- Roll Call for rangers
Me & Caleyjag will be there, travelling down to Glasgow on Friday night to make a weekend of it- BBC Alba tonight 8pm
This definitely confirms that me and Caleyjag are a couple of Teuchters : sitting watching the game on Alba with sound down listening to Runrig haha- We're going to win.
The sheep usually always play terrible after a game against Rangers so here's hoping it continues. I'm going for a 2v1 victory for us today. Come on Caley, I hate this lot lets get in about them- Gazza returning to football
I feel really sorry for him and agree that he should walk away but the guy loves and lives for football so he was always going to take it. He is clearly not well and does suffer from a mental illness but clearly there are people who still feel that they can use him to boost their profile which unfortunately I feel this is no matter how much Simon Clifford says it's not. - Team for Aberdeen....
