  11. Do Subway do elephant rolls then ?
  12. Strange you should say that IHE, the lad has potential, I thought that too but there is something missing in his 'repertoire' I couldn't put my finger on what it is.................... I think we could do better though. Incidentally I wouldn't sign Yogi, his one kick at the ball was way off target hit the stand passing it up the line to ( I think it was) Tremarco to give a throw in.
  13. Just home from the match, thoroughly enjoyed the game, what a difference from the same fixture last season.. I was very impressed with our new style of play, true it has not been perfected but I would say they are getting there, would like to see a few more direct 'raids' and a few more quick shots rather than the extra pass but all in all we were effective and a much improved squad from this time last year so it augers well. I'm not going to single out players at this stage except for Ryan and Brill no comparison needed there, despite two excellent saves from Ryan Brill is the stand out keeper. An imposing figure, safe hands, directing the play and distributed the ball so much better than his rival. I enjoyed my outing to Brora and the pies weren't bad either!!!
  14. Three different factions now, Caley,Thistle and ICT, a bit of unity would go a long way to building confidence in support for the YOUTH to follow. Grow up I say, leave your youth as a fond memory and concentrate on the present and future.
  15. Nice one Sneckboy.....
  16. Food for thought indeed Sneckboy, Take your analogy even further though, we are part of Europe, should there be just one European Team ? I think not, so sorry so I suppose i am daring to disagree with you on this one. There is a difference in as much as Scotland is a country within a group of countries within a single state which forms part of the continent of Europe. Caley and Thistle were two teams within a single City who amalgamated to represent Inverness and I am really glad they did because they are the beginning of the history of ICTFC and that history, Laurence, is important because without history nothing could ever reach fruition.
  17. Thanks Alex
  18. All over, 1 - 2 Hope it was more convincing than it sounds. Comments on our style of play would be useful please
  19. Stephen Rennie mentioned (on twitter ) any info on him ??
  20. Watkins heads in to make it 1 - 2
  21. Ayina supposedly is holding out for more money than we can really offer, I would be inclined to have conditions appended to his contract to make bonus payments for assists and goals rather than submit to his demands until he proves himself to be worth what he is asking. Being unfit at this stage so close to the season start makes me think he could be a ''lazy'' player and we have experienced that to our detriment before.
  22. What on earth happened in the early sixties 'cause before my National service in 1958 the concensus of opinion at Telford ST. Grant Street and Kingsmills was to amalgamate and have one strong Inverness Team to challenge the big headed Southern teams that thought we still lived in black houses up here. I for one who was a staunch Caley man am delighted that the name lives on in the Inverness team and proud of the progress the merger has brought. Long may ICT reign in the top division as the pride of the Highlands and if the native Invernessions can't grasp that we have something really good going here then it is their loss. The up and coming generation will surely have a bit more savvy and they too will share my belief that one day Inverness will be the top Scottish Club and turn out in their thousands to urge them on to that peak in Highland history. Never forget Caley....never forget Thistle but rejoice in the Inverness Team that has been made by uniting. Edited to say you too I H E
