  1. Announced that they need to issue another share offer to their existing shareholders to raise another 4m or will not be able to pay creditors. sounds like it could be Newco 2 and yet again it will be everybody else's fault
  2. Obviously ran out of excuses , I am gutted loved where he was taking County
  3. Sounds like a reaching-the-end-of-my-career move - where can I get the most money?! ! I've never heard of them - but I doubt he had either, until they showed interest. He certainly wouldn't have heard of us before signing, but money talks! I always felt he was lazy with us, although at times you could see he had class. A friend in Turkey has told me he has left without a game as the technical director didn't agree with his wage
  4. I had posted something negative about this deleted it after second thoughts, after all it doesn't cost anything to participate and its just a bit of fun
  5. Great 3 points and another clean sheet, I thought Draper controlled large parts of the game.
  6. To be fair i don't see to much wrong in what he said.....miles better than what Lemmon used to come out with

  8. I am not sure Celtic are weaker, apart from the keeper who have they lost from last year ? Kilie most def weaker and I think they will struggle to stay up, luckily for them County are in the league
  9. We did have a few games towards end of last season where Mckay seemed to be under instruction to stay pushed forward....but think that was as much a part of the transition as anything else and done to try and encourage the midfield and wider players to do the pushing instead. When trying to explain myself to people (as to why I've remained so positive) I use the analogy of a metal worker who, when bending cold steel, has to push it beyond the final position because when you release the tension it will naturally spring back a bit. Yogi has been doing that with the team....pushing them to over-play the "tippy tappy" football throughout pre-season knowing that when it came crunch time and he removed the shackles the team would naturally spring back and naturally re-introduce more of what we already know they're good at to the overall mix of play......and that includes Mckay getting here, there and everywhere. Like the metal, it'll need some final fettling and it'll pick up a few dents and dings along the way which will need worked out.....but early indications are that Yogi has successfully re-crafted the team. Only time will tell whether or not they're worthy of some silver plating....I'm confident they are. I thought Motherwell were the Steelmen ?
  10. Ryan has a huge future in the game, a couple of season's with ICT to develop and if he decides to leave then I am sure he will have made a massive mark on his home town club
  11. wow, great comment from those that were there, very encouraging and well done to the manager and the players. I watched the Celtic game yesterday and while United were woeful I thought Celtic we very good, closing down very quickly and lots of pace. Could it be a case of both Dellia and Yogis tactics getting through to the players at the same time, if so its going to be very interesting next weekend.
  12. Davie, remember Dundee were away from home where this type of possession football is more acceptable, I would imagine Hartley would try to entertain the fans a bit more at home, something Yogi doesn't seem to be to interested in .
  13. I wasn't at the game but spoke to a "neutral" who was there and said it was a rotten game, his word "lots of foreplay but no action" . Seems that the majority of those that were there feel the same. Davie, I think almost everyone that goes to the game "likes football" however they also like to see goals, if you gave me the choice, 20 passes in the middle of the park and no end product or a hoof and a goal, I would take the hoof every time.
  14. Excuse my ignorance on contractual matters but how does that work , the club can insist on a second year even it the player doesn't want it ?
  15. Much ado about nothing and Russell did a fine job The Suns comments just highlights what some journalists think about themselves and how the game revolves around them
  16. Sounds like great stuff so far, brilliant
  17. I tend to agree with that valuation, and i think the board might be tempted by it if he is in the last year of his contract,
  18. Glad Yogi has worked this out, quote from the Highland News today "It’s all about ball retention. If we have the ball there is every chance that we’ll score a goal. If our opponents have the ball the chances are they will score so when we lose the ball we get it back quickly and long may that continue. That said, we look to get it better still"
  19. There is almost another month of the transfer window left , deals are done up until the last minute on the 31st so I don't see how this is to late
  20. What if Mckay gets injured? What if we ever need to chase the game and get another man up-front? What about having a two man attack Plan B? Or are we just going to carry on playing one way regardless of whether it works or not? Of the existing first team squad; Christie, Vincent, Doran, Foran (hopefully not out much longer) & Watkins are all...IMO...capable of doing a job at the front should the need arise. With the possible exception of Vincent, I think the rest have all been deployed as a forward at some point under both Butcher and Yogi. You also have young Fergie chapping at the door. I'm not saying it's the ideal scenario, but if people are talking about Mckay being worth 6 or 7 figures, then you have to appreciate that finding experienced/comparable cover would cost something up to that amount....and then there's the wage to pay on top of that. We quite simply don't have that kind of cash laying around. If people aren't content with the cover we have at present, then I don't see them being content with anything additional we could afford to bring in. I get what you are saying, but I don't think any of those are out and out strikers and likes of Christies still inexperienced , very dangerous going into the season with just one registered striker, if Billy gets injured we have big problems.
  21. Curious to know what people would consider a success this season in the league.. This poll is not what you wish for but what you feel would be acceptable considering our budget etc.
  22. Who know's if Yogi gets his tactics right, we have as good a squad as most, by no means impossible Our squad is way behind Celtic , Aberdeen , Motherwell , Dundee United and the likes in terms of quality . I think results before Butcher left showed we were not far behind most, apart from Celtic.

  24. I am also a yes voter but I thought that Salmond was terrible last night. It was a big chance for both sides to give some straight answers and sway the undecided voters one way or the other, I don't imagine either side did that although i agree the No camp will have been happier with last night.
