Make that three - Larnell Cole for Tranmere at Macclesfield!

Well done Yngwie.  I totally missed that.  Didn't even know about him!  I notice he also scored for them about 3 weeks ago (which, obviously, I  missed as well).

  3. Having proven himself, with us at a higher level, I have no doubt that Nick would be a good signing for us.  I can only assume he is interested as he is seen training with us since appearing as a trialist.  I also assume that we are interested, if not , why try him and then let him train with us?   I would have thought, that not having had a club this season, he would grab any opportunity with both hands, to show other clubs that he has still got potential.  We could do a lot worse (and several times have done!).

  5. Well, how we kept the recent run of clean sheets going (not counting the friendly at County), I just don't know.  Our defence was all over the place most of that first half. Although we created a couple of chances, Falkirk seem to win everything in midfield and look the more likely to score.  Need to improve massively in the second half.

  6. That sounds like good news.  I'd been wondering where he would surface after leaving Dundee months ago.. I always liked Nick.  Who will ever forget his late equaliser when we were down to 9 men against Hearts?   I wish him well and hope he gets a contract with us.

  7. Last night (31 Oct), two players currently out on loan from their home clubs each scored a couple of goals......

Sam Winnall for Derby (on loan from Sheff Wed) and ......

Andrew Shinnie scoring his first goals for Luton (on loan from Birmingham).

  8. Just got back from a few days in Glasgow late last night.  Alas was not able to get from there to Sneck for yesterday's game.  I did not even know the score due to the P**s poor Wi- Fi on Virgin trains, so imagine how pleased I was getting home at 11pm to see that we'd beaten another good side with yet another clean sheet. Brilliant.  Well done to all concerned.  I can feel the confidence growing by the minute.  Onwards and upwards.

  10. Yes, credit to JR for the improvement over the past month.  He seems to have found a format that is working.  Let's hope we can now continue to improve.

On an optimistic note, I seem to remember that in our last promotion season, under Terry, we were pretty inconsistent up to Xmas, and only after that went on a good winning run, eventually leaving Dundee well in our wake..  Can history repeat itself?  I sincerely hope so.

  11. I noticed the following scorers today (21 Oct) ......

    Miles Storey for Partick

    Rory McAllister for Peterhead

    Tarmo Kink for Levadia Tallin

Dani Lopez for Arenas de Getxo

    Dale Gillespie for Rothes

    Gary Wood for Formantine

    Dennis Wyness (2) for Huntly
