  1. Excellent report by Rig.  But a bit worrying.  In his words we got away with a 'real smash and grab'. Still, we've been on the other side of that coin once or twice this season, so I'm happy to take the 3 points and move on.  I don't mind if we have the same 'rub of the green' next Saturday.  We have it all in our own hands now for converting an 'average minus season' into another memorable one.  So well done to the team for giving all we supporters some thing to look forward to in the next few weeks.

    Onwards and upwards.

  2. Talking of some of our ex players like Mckay and Rooney, I notice another, Scott Boden, now playing for Chesterfield, has scored 20 goals so far this season (2018/19), including 12 in the past 3 months.  Wonder if he'd like another stint up north??

  3. Disappointing.  Not often I join the ref was a w***** brigade, but where do I join up?    Apart from that, our defending at set pieces was poor.  White is not a penalty taker, but apart from that, he had a good game.  Doran not his dominant self tonight.  We had a good spell for about 20 mins in first half, but were always up against it after that.

We really could do with getting even a point at Ayr to keep the chasers  at a safe distance.  See some of you at Hampden!

  4. Listened to some of the commentary.  Sounded like a really poor game/performance.  Pity our good form of late disappeared today , especially as County and United both lost. Hoping for better things on Tues night.  We are still well positioned for a play off spot, so lets hope we can hold on to that. And of course, a couple of great performances at Hampden could still turn a mediocre season into an exceptional one.

Chuffed to get that win, sounds like the lads had a very good 79 minutes and then switched off letting Alloa get back into it.

Like Fraz says I hope Robbo gives them a boot up the arse so they stay focused in the final 20 minutes.

Hopefully we can hold onto third!

3rd or 4th doesn't really matter.  As I understand it we would still have to win 3 ties to gain promotion. Only by getting to 2nd would we have fewer ties to win to go up.  But, of course, from a confidence point of view, 3rd might give us a small edge over 4th.

Anyway, we seem to be on a bit of a roll now, so let's hope it continues for another couple of months.

Without Jimmy there maybe wouldnt be a club! Stood firm and put up with a lot of unpleasantness at the time of the merger. Will be missed when he retires.

PS noticed in press earlier in week that Ginger MacKenzie ex Caledonian legend has died at age 91. Thought some of the older members might remember him. RIP

I missed that sad news re Ginger MacKenzie.  My all time favourite Caley player.  His wife was best friends with one of my elder sisters.  I visited him at his home in Winnipeg many years ago and they made me very welcome. Thanks for posting the news, sad though it was to read.

  7. Sounds like a pretty confident away win keeping us well in touch with the play off places.  Well done lads. Looks like we're hitting good form at the right time.  Two tough Friday night televised matches to negotiate next. Win these and we've got every chance .  Keep it going lads. Onwards and upwards.

  8. Obviously begs the question " did she go or was she pushed"?  I may be being unfair to her but I'm not sure what impact she made to the efficient running of the club in her short tenure.  Perhaps those closer to the action could answer that.

  9. Being selfish about it, Glasgow (or even Edinburgh) would suit me best from a travel (flights) point of view.  But I can see the argument for a smaller stadium from a crowd/atmosphere point of view.  I just wish they would get it sorted so that I, and all the others, who will be flying, can get their travel and accommodation in place asap.  Time is money, especially where flights are concerned. I've seen a difference already, for both 13 and 14 Apr, since I started looking at potential flights immediately following our win at Tannadice a few days ago.
