ICT v Raith Rovers (H) Sat 20th July
Could and should have been 7or8 today but for raith hanging in and some poor finishing. Caley were able to up the tempo when required. Some good performances- Walsh again the main man- one mazy run of his going past three raith players and only a fine save stopping a really good goal.

ICT v Raith Rovers (H) Sat 20th July
We have enough at the back. Get them forward and score goals. Let's not focus on defence my opinion is that we are fine. Question for forward dudes is are you up for it ? We are supremely placed for a right good go. Step up and rule supreme..the ball requires to be in the net... call me old fashioned..Mon the caley...

What we need in transfer market to improve.
We could do with Polly back just watching him run the game for Motherwell against Morton.

McKay out as well as Rooney so could be a game for Nicholson to come in at right back. He did okay against st Johnstone. Apart from giving penalty away ? I would hope that our forwards will relieve any defensive concerns by sticking a few away against Raith.

Team for Peterhead.
The optimism has been tempered...

Pre-Season
Some really good signs tonight. First half the saints had a lot of possession and we defended really well. Restricted them to a couple of decent chances. Up front Walsh was the danger and everything went through him. He provided good ball in for a nice close finish from Keating. Second half we looked more dangerous. Machado is a talent for sure. Todorov scoring from a corner following Mitch forcing a good save from saints keeper. Machado in the right place for a nice third. Carson was very impressive and looks a great addition. Listen people we are looking good.

What we need in transfer market to improve.
Let's face it people we have arguably the best manager in the championship. We have a squad of players with a mix of good young players alongside experienced players who have demonstrated their abilities last season. Added to this are some good signings. We can go into this season with confidence and a team on the up. They can set their sights high. Let's get right behind them. ?

Shankland will make Dundee Utd a much more formidable beast this coming season. Big signing for them. Not so good for the rest of the championship teams.

Pre-Season
Carson was doing some jogging on the pitch at the warm up but did not appear to kick any balls. He watched the game from the stand sat next to tremarco. As far as the game went we could have lost a few goals first half; poor dons finishing and some good saves from mackay. Penalty was a mix up as todorov had just came on and players were out of position. Overall a good performance against a big strong Aberdeen side. We could have won it late on.

Play offs
Dundee derbies will add another dimension. If we can get ahead early in the season would be good. Utd did not deserve to win today. But then they didn't deserve to beat caley. Hopefully they don't bring in many players and keep the current ones.

Dundee Utd -V- Inverness CT (playoff leg 2)
Wasn't our night for a variety of reasons. I think the team can hold their heads high for their efforts. Utd had a bit more in depth but it was made easier for them due to poor officials. There keeper man of the match. Hard for robbo to take decisions like the penalty tonight and not react. He would need to be a robot not to.

Do or die - Dundee Utd (A), Fri 17th May
Tricky this one. Does robbo start with young MacDonald in the hope we can get at them early or keep ourselves in it and have a go later? Either way I am sure the boys will give their best. They have showed all season they are capable and resilient. Hopefully someone can produce a bit of magic tonight and you just never know.

Even first half, we could have went in ahead if whites header got in instead of post. Sending off should have been a booking only. That changed the game but a strong team performance kept Utd out until late slightly fortuitous goal. Thought Macauley should have come on instead of Harper? Still in it though..to be continued....

Inverness CT -V- Ayr United
We did not create enough today and we won't get by on Tuesday without creating more. Crawford had a great chance to make it two nil Ayr but opted to blast it wide. If we were in game management mode we were cutting it a bit fine. MacDonald made a difference when he came on and should start Tuesday given Walsh hamstring issue. Mcmullan getting sent off on Tuesday would do for starters ? pressure is surely on Utd so hopefully the boys will get in about them.
