Inverness CT -V- Alloa
First half caley couldn't find a way through the Alloa defence sitting deep. They had plenty possession and pressed Alloa when they had possession. Gifted the first goal but Curry took it well. Needed a second and a good hit by Trafford deflected into the net. After that caley stopped pressing and Alloa should really have got at least one goal; hitting the woodwork twice and calling Mackay into action. Machado third from close range from an excellent Storey cross. Same again next week would do.

ICT - Partick Thistle (H), Sat 28th Sept
A disjointed performance today combined with a bit more effort from Partick resulted in nil points. It was obvious that the bit more effort from Partick would happen due to McCall taking over. I went to this game concerned that what happened would and unfortunately it did. But really thought that between the management and team they would not let that script be realised. I would suggest that they all believe the hype around McCall and Partick and was evident in the approach and performance.

ICT - Partick Thistle (H), Sat 28th Sept
First half was even and caley arguably slightly better chances. Incident at the start of the second half summed it up. Mccart dawdled on the ball, duly robbed and only ridgers to beat for Miller to score. #grim. Caley could not find a reply and done by a simple cutback for a third. Very disappointing viewing. Watching McCall and thistle fans celebrate was not great. ?

ICT - Partick Thistle (H), Sat 28th Sept
McCall was a good fit at Ayr and no guarantees that he will be at Partick. Caley would do well to focus on doing what they have to other teams in recent games. Ignore the hype. Hope big ridgers is on form for his 100th game. Another 3 points would be excellent return so far.

ICT v Morton - Chocolate Cup
Morton sat deep to frustrate caley early on and despite lots of slick passing caley did not create many chances. Todorov shot that curled beyond the Morton keeper opened the scoring. This was followed by a great ball over the top from Welsh to Doran who slipped the ball under the advancing keeper. Miles Storey nutmegged keeper at the near post for the third. Very enjoyable match and could easily been five or six. Well done everyone involved. ?

New ICT Podcast
Another good episode. Like the focus on positive ideas- not ignoring obvious issues. Enjoyed the discussions around analysis of recent caley and opposition teams performances. The formations and how individual players are doing.

Matchday Thread - ICT v Arbroath (H)
A better team would have scored early against us as we started poorly. Linn was given way too much time to get his shot off for his goal. It was pleasing that we came from behind and won the game. There was two decent penalty shouts not given for caley- a handball and a foul on Keating. Hopefully back the win up with another at Dundee next time out. ?

Who would you like to see at ICT next season?
Tansey posting on his Instagram wearing caley strip and looking forward to season ahead ? ?

Team for Dundee United
Dundee Utd will obviously need to start getting money in having spent so much. Not entirely unexpected that they beat us. The nature of the defeat is highlighting our lack of workable system ie- midfield pairings/defensive frailty/clinical finishing. These have been evident in recent games and cruelly exposed today. Not insurmountable issues with the right attitude and motivation. Going to be a very interesting season and it will be important that we learn quickly and do not lose ground.

Miles Storey back?
Optimistic that Robbo will enable Storey to flourish. Would be quite happy if tansey returned- a very good footballer who has had a difficult time of it with a bone infection that side lined him.

Cove Rangers (H) - Tues 23rd July
Megginson showed he is a strong player and got his goals although from a caley view they were defensively poor. He should have had a hat trick but made a second poor decision when one on one tried to chip ridgers. His first was to kick the ball away and get a soft booking which resulted in his sending off via a bad tackle. Carson urged the team on when behind and grew into the game. White could have had a hat trick first half. Todorov getting us out of jail. Cove keeper had a good game. Caley gave themselves a test and won through. Go to Dundee now and have every chance.
