  1. The comedy of errors continues....
  2. A comedy of errors so far. Let's hope for some improvement.
  3. I agree that trying to win the game despite the adversity is the way to go. Who dares wins and all that. Morton were a physical team in the last game so first and foremost win the individual jousts. Enjoy the game and hopefully end Morton's run. Get intae them...
  4. Injury crisis and go top of the league- it's a funny old game. We never looked like scoring the whole game apart from when we did Raith will feel unlucky not to have won today. Two fantastic saves from ridgers and good defending. Good effort from a depleted and disjointed standpoint.
  5. As a witty chap remarked at the game 'Liz Truss could have done a better job'. Hugely disappointing result against Hamilton who aren't any great shakes. Every team in the league would have gubbed us tonight. Rode the luck a bit in recent games but it ran out tonight. Be a tough few games coming up if we dish up the same fare.
  6. An excellent performance and great result. Could have won it by more but for good defending by Partick. Very composed finish by Billy McKay secured it
  7. The way to look at the home games is to play them as if they are an away game... now ... obviously... the result is the main thing... simple ...
  8. Three good results on the road and that has to be commended. Would be great to follow that by bursting the Partick bubble...
  9. Harper could teach Boyd how to be accurate with his shooting.
  10. A win today would be good and to assist that a good performance at least. He who dares wins. Will we dare to deliveroo in Dundee ?
  11. There's a whiff of something going about
  12. Those days are passed now and in the past they must remain but we can still rise now and win a cup again...repeat...repeat...
  13. After Daniel MacKay came on it took ages for him to get involved as Carson rather than pass the ball to him in space kept trying to pass in the pitch and give the ball away; he ended up going to the other side of the pitch to get the ball. Bizarre....
  14. We keep hearing that their all happy campers but that is not what it appears like. You get the impression that something is upsetting the applecart. Battered by Partick mugged by Morton....and not a glove laid on either....
  15. It's an attitude also. Sitting on a draw in a league game or going for the win late on. Going for the win will catch out the teams sitting on it and vice versa. If a team was going through a bad patch and just wanted to stabilise you can understand it. But if you have designs on promotion the mindset adopted ought to be of always looking for a winner. Have tactics ready to apply in such scenarios.
  16. As the old saying goes "we wiz gubbed" ...a lot to mull over there. Gonna be a long season so it would be good to address the issues from this type of result early.
  17. I had been requested to purchase an away strip in medium. Having attended stadium and read this thread I have realised there are none if anyone hears of a medium going let me know Cheers
  18. Enjoyable game that cove were poor in the first half and we could have finished the game then. It was on the cards that they would have a go second half; lost an early goal to their renewed efforts. However a 2 goal deficit was too much and we created plenty more chances killing the game off with the third. A really positive performance by everyone. Another plus is that Boyds shots are getting closer to goal ; they will soon be flying in
  19. Shoot in a West South West direction the ball will then swirl and dip confusing the goalkeeper who will flap at it like an Arbroath Kipper thereby missing the ball and donating 3 points to the Caley Jags
  20. Queens could have been out of sight in the first half but for a combination of Ridgers and poor finishing... Billy McKay cracking in a late equaliser that didn't feel as if it was coming. Second half we were better and the Queens goalkeeper was the busier but they still looked dangerous on the break. We probably looked to seal it with a late run with Macgregor being cynically brought down to prevent him slipping Oakley in. Queens got away with a lot from another poor referee. Allardice my pick.
  21. I thought sooner or later The lights up above Will come down in circles and guide me to love But I don't know what's right for me I cannot see straight I've been here too long and I don't want to wait for it Fly like a cannonball, straight to my soul Tear me to pieces And make me feel whole I'm willing to fight for it and carry this weight But with every step I keep questioning what it's true Fall on me With open arms Fall on me From where you are Fall on me With all your light With all your light With all your light
  22. Finished top of the group and unbeaten so that's a real positive. Today's game was a bit of the good the bad the ugly a great opening goal - an opportunistic equaliser from a cove corner- giving way to many chances to the opposition. Cove had 2 really good opportunities to go ahead early second half. We probably ought to have sealed it late however very disappointing that we didn't manage a winner. Good set of penalties. Deas my pick today.
  23. Billy McKay my pick for tonight. Just too strong for Albion really. Could have scored a few more. We appear to be shaping up okay. Let's see how we go against stronger teams. Early signs are positive. Didn't think I would have got wet and cold though
  24. Livi be favourites no doubt but it will be a game where we can hopefully gauge the direction of travel. These early games are good for anyone wanting to stake their claim for a regular berth in the starting eleven. Make a good impression early doors on the game and on the season. Start the way you mean to go on and all that jazz...
