Lads going out on loan
Well one thing is for sure i cant see TB putting Allison out on loan since we have not got another keeper for cover I hear they are thinking about the young under 13 keeper for cover if Allison goes out on loan!!!!! More likely to be Murray Kinnaird

What areas need strengthening?
Oh dear a little jealous are we? But seriously, I have no idea how happy or unhappy McBain is just now, but I am led to believe that a certain large SPL sent scouts to the Albion game just to look at Cox. I'll give you a clue, they play in blue. St Johnstone :D Falkirk? Kilmarnock?

Oh aye County
Its not an impossibility for County to win promotion and it is feasible that they could build a stand in 11 weeks. We built two in twelve. What has, however, been overlooked, both by the press and by those commenting is the SPL ruling that a team can only groundshare with another SPL team.

Are we watching the opposition ?
I'd say it seems to be working given that County are currently top of the league. A bottle of malt say's you won't be there on the last game of the season

Am I right in remembering that Tokers once played in goal for us? Seem to remember it was near the end of a match and we'd used all our subs and keeper got sent of or something.

Are we watching the opposition ?
It's his dad, and his boss - County's Director of Football. Ah! I see. Not having any interest in the hierarchy of the camp across the bridge I'd never have known that. Nothing like keeping it in the family though I suppose.

Centre Backs
We are very short right across the back line to be honest. Jack Sutherland may be one who's called to the plate sooner than he expects. Gollie has player as centre haslf in the past and young Shinnie can play the left back position. Another youngster in the background is Kevin Stewart who, if injury or suspension befalls us, may also find himself being called upon. Fingers crossed our regular back four can hold out.

Who is George Adams ----Derek's brother by any chance? If thats a little faux pax and you actually meant Derek then he must be the most super human ever to walk the earth. He could go and watch us for a good few games and still get back to his own team for their games......................................and we all kick off at the same time.

Motherwell Roll Call
Yeap... two stupid Michael Fraser goals which turned out to be very costly indeed... Can you no just let sleeping dogs lie John? Every opportunity that comes along you use it to slate Mike Fraser and TB for 'dropping' Esson last season. If I were you I'd ask this question: Was there a clause in someones contract that said he had to have x number of starts and was that the reason he was favoured for the last few games of the season? I wish I could make this one but I'm stuck offshore but fingers will be crossed.

Are we watching the opposition ?
To say that Butcher having two jobs has stopped him learning about teams in this league is nonsense. How do you propose he get info on his competitors when they are playing thier games at the same time as our management are directing ICT. County have inside info on a lot of our players. I hope that he has, however, learned from all the other teams by the end of the first set of fixtures.

Six games into the season
Er, we are fifth, Dundee at sixth - Link Yeh, I know. I looked at the wrong week for positions.

Six games into the season
I go along with all you say there Johndo. I think its the mean streak thats missing. That and the need for McBain or Duncan to start in central mid. We have two home games to come against Pathetic and Dumfries then away to Kircaldy and I would expect at least seven points from those. Butcher will then have had a chance to assess, and hopefully have sussed out, the strong points and weaknesses of all in our division and will know how to set up shop for the next set of fixtures. All in all I'm happy with where we are at the minute and so long as we can stay in touch with the top teams we will have the will and the drive to fight for the league come the last set of fixtures.

Six games into the season
We sit fourth just below Dundee. I cant be bothered looking out pre-season threads on the debate about favourites for the league but I do remember pointing out to some that we shouldn't get tied up in the Us v Dundee for the league debate but instead watch other teams. Teams who over the last two or three years have quietly built up for the challenge. We have been blinded by the Dundee signings and have believed them to be superior. I hear from good authority that the new money man there is not happy with Jocky Scott and further turmoil could ensue there. Are we losing sight of the fact that, whilst we watch Dundee results, Raith and County are pulling away? I dont recall anyone predicting the present situation.

Losing faith in Butcher
I also still have faith but he keeps harping on about the team not gelling and not having experience at that level, well get Duncan and McBain back in there quickly, both have experience and will help out the new lads. I agree with Steve. We need experience in midfield to shepherd the wingers and forwards. We've played 6 games so far and are unbeaten in five of those. Were we in SPL we'd think that was a fantastic achievement. This league is no different.

5th and 6th officials
It has bee4n introduced to the Europa cup competition as a trial. If successful it may well be expanded. I think its a good idea but wonder do they have the same power as linesmen.
