  1. Bookies have Smith favourite Souness second and Calderwood third.
  2. No he's not. He managed to break from his contract under some Fifa ruling. Irretreavable breakdown in relations or something.
  3. Be like the rest of us RiG. Go ten mins before the whistle or send someone else
  4. Is this Brewers Fayre the one that was the Pirnhall Inn a couple of hundred yards of the roundabout heading towards town.

Yes he's the on field captain. I think Gollie is still club captain though. Not really awkward for him to give his all. He needs all the win bonus he can get for the new family he wants :003:
  6. Ron if we'd gone three at the back we'd have got humped. The whole squad broke down last twenty mins.
  7. Stevie, to be 'brave' is to be stupid. I'm just a realist. :004: HH, plan B is joining us over the next couple of weeks :004:

We may have Proctor back but would the management team? We are all resigned to the fact that Dods is leaving but I think he will be with us till May. He is worth more playing for us just now than we would get by letting him go. Each place higher equals 75k.

Oh Inverness is wonderful Oh Inverness is wonderful We have a bridge and a castle Oh Inverness is wonderful Enjoy the place and the people and keep behind the Caley Jags
  10. The highlights that Scotsport show are from Setanta but the views of the panel are less biased. Guys like Billy Dodds, Scott Booth, Jim Duffy etc. give honest critisism and not the OF biased drivel that comes from Scotsport penellists.
  11. Wyness to Gretna??????? Yer havin a laugh
  12. What needs to be remembered is that the lads mentioned are young. They may well do great playing in reserves but throwing them in to try and save a game is a lot of pressure to put on them. CC has nurtured those players for a few years, indeed he was instrumental in getting the lads full time contracts, and I'm sure we will see exactly what there made of before the end of this season but its maybe too early to put them under too much pressure at a young age. It takes a very special talent that can be thrown in at the deep end so young and there aint many of those around.
  13. Spud! a County fan! Him from Aviemore too! I dont believe it :015: Seriously though, there is a need for decent entertainment though. Falkirk used to do a competition to win a car. Cant remember how it worked though but it was something to do with scoring three goals from the centre spot with obsticles in the way. Mind you it was Brockville where you had to shoot over a mountain first. Never ever knew of anyone who actually achieved it.
  14. Scotsport SPishL??????? Now I know why I subscribe to Setanta.
  15. A few weeks ago on another thread, which was debating the Bayne/Dargo or Wyness/Dargo partnerships, I suggested that a Bayne/Wyness partnership could be the way to go. Of course the armchair experts shot me down but I still stand by it. Bayne/Wyness, for me, is the way to go.
  16. Not quite true. Marks foot put his body the wrong way for the penalty :016:
  17. Johndo a candidate?????? He wrote the feckin books!!!! :015:
  18. We'll see, we'll see o' wise one :016:
  19. I'll be there and I expect to see the team that started yesterday.
  20. The one important difference between us and Falkirk is that they are hitting the back of the net more often. Look at yesterdays stats. ICT v St Mirren Falkirk v DUFC Shots on target 5 Shots on target 9 Shots of target 3 Shots of target 0 Goals 2 Goals 5 We need to start getting the off target shots on target and the on target ones into the net. Falkirk have scored 32 goals to our 25 this season. Thats whats got them above us.
  21. Clacher, you mention Robbo and Brew. Where's Livi in Div 1 table? 7th. Wheres Brewster? Aberdeen reserves as a player. Every manager, be they experienced or not, needs to be a footballing tactician. They also need players who can fit into their plans. They all build teams that can provide what is required. Under our last two managers we had a reputation for being very defensive. Indeed we were usually parked in the opposition box. Defenders did not get forward. They lobbed the ball up the park in the hope someone would connect with it and get lucky. This tactic worked but was not entertaining. I believe CC is a more attack minded person and that he is doing his best to change our players and to develop their skills in an attacking fashion. Much like Pele tried to do. When we get things right at the beginning of any game our players grow in confidence, they pass the ball and the attack all out. Defenders get up the park and some even score. When it doesn't go right in the first quarter hour, heads droop and the ball gets hoofed but I believe we are on the right tracks and that, with two or three players brought in, ones who were not part of any previous ICT setup, CC and DP will build an entertaining, successful attacking team. I dont base my beliefs on any parochialism or idolisation of Charlie Christie. I base it all on what I see on the park and the tv screen. Charlie Christie may not have been a player at the top levels but he has a very sound knowledge of the game and a very positive idea of what he wants and how to achieve that. Finally, I see CC and DP taking us to sixth place and a Scottish Cup final.

A few weeks ago when we were debating strike partnerships, and I wasn't too impressed with Wyness's performances, I suggested the he and Bayne may be the better partnership. From what I've seen lately I believe this is where the success is going to come from, they are starting to work well for each other, and that both players will start scoring regularly.

Considering that Ferguson came back to Rangers because he and his family were homesick and couldnt hack being away from Glasgow I cant see him returning south. We couldnt afford him but I wouldnt be surprised to see him somewhere like Hibs or Aberdeen. Personally I think he's been dropped for screaming "dont dive, dont dive" to Burke in the game against us.
  24. Whilst leaving the stadium yesterday the announcer gave out the Falkirk score. Some guy in front of us turns to his mate, with all the wisdom and knowledge of a know-it-all fan, and say's, "bet Stokes got another hat-trick". Didnt like to point out to the guy that the lad wasn't playing.
  25. Stupidly Ian stepped over the ball and backhealed it after the ref had placed it. Not the best thing to do and the lad should know better. Sadly this is the sort of silly things that are getting him booked on a regular basis. IMO he needs to seek some anger management and learn just to walk away.
