  1. On balance of play this was probably a fair result and is a better indicator of where we are right now - a bit more resilient when under pressure and once again creating genuine chances which we might have taken on another day, Queens might feel the same about the chances. As the game developed it seemed that we went very direct whilst QP were able to keep the ball better and recycle possession - further highlighting the lack of quality in our squad depth. A few good performances from us today, and also a below par effort from the captain - looked sluggish a few times and had one or two howlers with his boot/ball interface. Quite an energetic match and both Welsh & Doran looked buggered midway through the 2nd half, fair play to Billy as he has consistently covered a lit of ground which can't be easy at his age. Defence worked hard and can all celebrate the clean sheet, despite some first half skinning Delaney finished the game well. Still missing Allardice/Mcgregor in the middle of the park, nothing is being created through the middle, everything is coming from out wide, which makes us quite predictable. Let's play them again next week to see if we can do it better.
  2. Not expecting a win either, but with the goals starting to come, despite the defence still looking shaky, I am expecting us to be competitive.
  3. Two good results, and some core players performing closer to the best of their abilities... Hopefully a minimal contact week on the practice pitch, carry the confidence from the last two games into Saturday. Massive test coming up with QP although some might say they're not genuine, I haven't seen anyone yet who are real contenders, so let's see where we are now in our recovery.
  4. Surprised not to have seen one name on here, considering it was heard several times in the main stand at Cove game. Ex ICT, UEFA coaching baubles, running u18s at premiership club...
  5. Oh no he didn't!! ...seasonal response.
  6. They stayed in The Kingsmills overnight. Enough said.
  7. With his contract up in the summer it is worth looking over the possible replacements now with a view to appointing at the end of the season. But we need to choose carefully as there is a very limited pool with the attributes we need and willing to make the move north. Add into that the fact that up until this latest barren run Dodds was our 3rd most successful manager based on win rate - level with Steve Paterson. Our most successful by a decent margin was Robbo in his first spell, and second is Robbo again. So injury problems aside he's done rather well despite the sh1thousing brand of football we often see.
  8. We can't afford to sack the kit man, never mind managerial level staff. No offence kit man.
  9. I saw the passion at first, then it was all fight I'm afraid. Wrong sport. Quite an unfair statement on the whole team perhaps?
  10. Don't think we could afford the disciplinary penalties that kind of idiotic reaction would incur...not to mention the suspensions.
  11. Yep, the boy has serious issues.
  12. Diddy cup. Simple. Great run out for the next crop of youngsters, in a no pressure situation. Let's face it. On our current trajectory this game is a direct pathway to the 1st team squad in the not too distant future.
  13. I've occasionally wondered what motivates a glory hunter, starting to get an insight from some posts on here. Expectation levels are way higher than reality. A trip to Dobbies rather than backing your team. Shame.
  14. Ayr through tonight, high scoring affair against non leaguers. They got cove away, must be as pleased as we are.
  15. To be fair he only has to remember two chords.
  16. Job done. In the hat for the draw.
  17. The mackay brothers on the bench. Welsh rested?? Good run out for Hyde.
  18. Watched some of that, and I agree with the managers view - we were pretty rotten.
  19. In light of our injury situation and the spfl's refusal to sanction a recall of our loan players, is this a good opportunity to field a team with several 'first year pros' starting? Beneficial as a cup run would be it would obviously put even further stress on the squad over the next few months, so a good competitive fixture would be a worthwhile experience. Sod the SPFL. As for the challenge Cup, we could field our under 18's.
  20. A draw at home against high scoring league leaders would still be 6 without a win...but right now I'd take it.
  21. Clearly? Looks quite relaxed given the depressing subject matter. Even jovial towards the end I might add.
  22. If there was a physical altercation by Ridgers, and its debatable whether there was, then he shouldn't even be on the bench. Suspended without pay pending investigation.
