Not in the centre of our community. FFS its on the very outskirts of Inverness. Nothing beyond it but waste ground.

And because its no longer in use as a golf course all the the drainage has been left to block up and is now providing a regular water feature on the ISD.

Partick Thistle v Raith Rovers live on BBC Scotland now.

Rovers currently one up, Partick now only 9 points and 5 goals better off than us. Certainly gives Morton some hope.

Given the fact you state the other response could be prejudicial, do you really want councillors responding in support of the clubs position and being excluded from the vote?

So the four councils who have joined up and come out with their PowerPoint against the application will be excluded from the vote?

Or is doing it via a 'spokesperson ' negate any particular councillors interest being called into question...

  4. First half wasn't the best, both teams probing. Whilst I feel we shaded it in terms of controlling possession Airdrie looked dangerous & quick on the counter.

Apart from a frenetic first ten minutes in the second half where we continually gave the ball back to Airdrie we pretty much bossed it from there on in.

A lot of good performances,  notably Lawal in the middle along with Kerr. Also Carragher Devine and Savage looked pretty assured in front of Ridgers.

Pepple even had an impact, notably on the keepers head.🤪

    Only the goals were missing.

Everyone at the match has probably fallen asleep given the BBC match stats. Those not there are probably drunk it seems. 😉

At least something has got your attention.

The so called guardians and a fair number of fans on here should also remember the Highland Council represent the whole of the Highlands not just the city of Inverness.

This very blinkered centralised view is not healthy at all.

That's an argument for a city council , which is for another day.

It easy to think up questions on hindsight of course. But out of interest, did you manage to tease out any additional information on how the asset was valued, who valued it, or who the buyers are?

Can you not just get that info down your local boozer?

4 players booked on each side.  That plus the injuries would suggest that the referee didn't have much control of the game.

There appears to be another yellow awarded on 90 minutes to morton, but no name given...was this for a member of staff or Mr Imrie himself?

David Carson a player with drive and determination. Sean Welch a player with drive and determination.  Where are they when we need them? Well we achieved the clean sheet Duncan sought and whilst we have injuries so too do Dunfermline.

Thought they had a fairly strong squad tonight and a full subs bench, apart from late pressure at the fund they were happy to get the point.

My point still stands  that it’s outrageous a cash strapped council would throw 900k at ICT especially when it came out of the Inverness common good fund.

Again correct me if I’m wrong

    Dougal

The fact that the council may or may not have been 'cash strapped' back then is irrelevant when the money came from the common good fund - its not council money - they are just administrators for the fund.

I didn't accuse anybody of anything.  I asked a question in order to open it up for discussion...

Looked like a rhetorical statement rather than a real question,  in direct reply to the post above it.

@lizi's post did refer to poor officiating on numerous occasions which is up for debate but as it is the match thread then I think that's fair. We don't like to see dangerous tackling go unpunished or being encouraged at best.

Any ICT unfair bias is also up for debate as well, my personal viewpoint is that lack of quality officials as well as the hindrance of VAR on 'top level' ones is affecting the overall standard.

  12. I remember watching Augsburg play over here one summer in the eighties, they weren't top tier side then and we were Highland yokels. They used to fund summer trips every few years if I recall rightly.
