    1-2 FT, FFS.

Two defeats this week to sides who were near the bottom of the league. Is it the case that the new manager bounce is over and we are back to being as p1sh as we were under Dodds? Surely not?

It was noticeable today on the way out how folk were commenting how nothing has actually changed. Bit harsh maybe,  but today there was a real lack of urgency throughout the team.

I looked out the window when you posted this and it was a beautiful morning here but your forecast was right!  Not a good day for the football but we will have to be at our best to get the three points.

Loose today and we are likely to get another rant from bishbashbosh

Lose 2 in a row and I'd be expecting a rant from Mr F.

My fear is that we’ve been trying for a while to extend Wotherspoon’s contract and there’s been no announcement of that being successful. Meanwhile he will be attracting attention from clubs closer to home in the central belt.

    Closer to home...Canada.

  4. Looks like this season will be hard fought in the bottom half now. So few points separating the bottom positions that any gains can be wiped out in only one or two results.

Going by last nights game, those teams are probably at least a whole season ahead of us in terms of squad development,  perhaps more.

DF has a tricky path to negotiate in the transfer window(s). Add some quality, probably short term / loans, install a foundation for the way we want to play so we can look at long term recruitment in key areas and finally begin to remove the dead wood from the squad - we're carrying much more weight than we need, that has been obvious of late.

3 big games between now and next Sunday , how many of the 9 points can we get?

I think we need at least 6.

  5. Showed them too much respect for 75-80 minutes. They were so bad I can't believe we persevered with such a pedestrian pass it around and across the back for so long. Tempo never got high enough to trouble them and we failed to create enough clear chances.

Felt sorry for Brooks in the first half as he was holding his line for runs so many times but the pass always went back or sideways.

Despite changes throughout the side I felt that midfield suffered the most.

  6. I'm just shocked we haven't greased the wheels of progress with a good old bung.

Sorry, 'developer contribution', as they are known in the building industry when re-zoning or deferring on affordable housing is required.

Whatever happened to the playing fields and playpark on Balloan Road...

...certainly wasn't zoned for residential development,  but that has all but disappeared under new housing because council owned land can be used for profiteering, apparently.

It's too easy to scream "big bad council".

I doubt there are many of us here would welcome a noisy, potentially dangerous, and ugly development, only 100 metres from our front door (only 30 metres from some offices).  And it's not going to do much for their property value.

  8. Our Council has a pretty poor record of botching important planning decisions, and has come away bloodied from government appeals on a couple of occasions.

Not sure why or how they have come to this position, whilst also preparing to recommend approval of another 400 'homes' in the already replete Milton of Leys area...

    Oh yeah, developers dollars.💰

I read last night that the Highland Council planning department are recommending refusal for the Battery Farm above Fairways but can’t find it today.

It's in the courier, a few articles above the council approving another 400 homes for Milton of Leys, which will trigger extra developer contributions.
