Almost 6 years old as a club, finding our feet in the 1st division...no one gave us a snowball's chance in hell. After the Saturday call off most of the optimism had been replaced with a sobering dose of realism for the trip down on Tuesday ...but when Paul Sheerin calmly stuck the ball past Gould we all knew that was it, even with so long left to go. We had arrived, we had battered the fight out of them on their own patch. The good times had begun. This was the most important,and impressive moment in our history (until we beat a diddy team in the final). Never mind us, it's what the rest of the country remembers us for. That night.

Is that at home or in the replay? Pride comes before a fall, and all that.

These weird three stand efforts are increasingly popular...

The HL player thing is a bit of a red herring now as the youth setups from us, County & Elgin will have sifted through a huge number of players from a young age , discarding many as not worthy of progression for the level required ( prem/chmp/etc). So you will have a lot of HL players who were deemed not good enough and are happy with part time football and a career - as someone has said their day jobs may be paying more than we could offer them. If there are some exceptional HL players out there I'd say there were more attractive destinations on offer apart from ourselves.

I think our best strikers found their shooting boots at the TCS, apart from a few like Bingham who already had a track record.

He missed a header against Celtic that was so high and wide it nearly hit me & my lad in the back of the stand. Funny what sticks in your mind,eh.

The title of the thread is well put.... If he was consistently accurate and consistently committed and scoring we wouldn't be discussing this. But he isn't and we are. Good player but always in Christies shadow - now he's had his chance to pull the strings but hasn't fulfilled the promise like Ryan did. Maybe he'll get his mojo back playing with a more mobile midfield. Good luck to him. We move on.
