Watching the highlights, I now accept that Brooks was offside at his “goal”. It’s a pity they didn’t show the later one when he was through one on one with the goalie and got booked for slotting it home after the whistle had gone. It was very tight from my view.

Can't say for sure but did it not come off the defender as he challenged Mckay?

  2. Whilst I agree that Shaw is probably our best player, certainly in attack, his roaming across the park whilst looking to pick up the ball is leaving the midfield with a sh1tload of extra running to do to cover the spaces he leaves.

This was particularly evident early in the second half as our midfield collectively ran out of gas. I thought Anderson was doing well too until he pulled up with sone kind of strain.Tough first shift for him, I hope he is fit for the next battle.

Some half decent link up play between Brooks & Mckay in the first half, but an awful lot of offsides...poor timing/poor officiating or just a well drilled Pars backline?

Still lacking the composure of Welsh I'd say.

Definitely 442. Dodos has seen sense at last. Shaw the best player on the park by a country mile.  Need a second goal though and probably would have had it but for a horrendous decision by the far side linesman for offside against Brooks.

Shaw seems to have a pretty free role,he's picking the ball up everywhere. There's a lot of space down their right but we only seem to have Duffy doing the overlap which isn't ideal.

  4. Tight game, pars started well, doing that quick pass & move stuff that we hate. We seem to have grown into it since the goal.😆

Anderson & Boyes looking the part. Boyes in particular looks like a stroll in this league...back four in no doubt as to who is in charge today.

I’m no happy clapper but all I’m urging is for everyone to show support to the players from the off tomorrow to help their confidence.

Certainly where I sit, if we lose a goal there is plenty encouragement then being given to our players from many around me, for a few seconds at least. Equally there are plenty moans and groans along the way and choice words aimed at players.

I’m in the main stand but don’t rustle sweeties!

If they actually rustled sweetie papers it would be an increase in decibels straight away 😝

Pretty much nail on head. Thought Longstaff looked decent when he came on. Full of confidence and running.

Confidence and running...the latter should be standard for pros at this level, every player should be covering as much ground to support the forward play and getting back quickly when things break down.

The confidence part is more elusive, but if you're getting most of the running done then the rewards for the hard bit will contribute to building our fragile self belief.

Why not, he is in the second highest position in the club hierarchy and is fair game to criticise if fans so choose. If he doesn’t like it or can stand the heat, he has the luxury to hand it over to someone else!

If you recall before morrison came in we had a rapid series of chairmen coming and going, as if nobody really wanted it.

I suspect this is still the case, if he were to resign tomorrow then I guess the position is yours if you want it.

  8. Once again it looks like we created and missed the bulk of the chances.

Sparse highlights don't really give any indication of how either team played tbh.

Slackness cost us again, I'm concerned that this habit is going to be hard to kick.

Players need to find the way to win as any confidence that may be lurking will soon be completely gone.

Only on wk 2. Serious club inquiry into signing policy or training regime required if this is the case given the history of the last 2 seasons. This is unsustainable long term to keep having lengthy crock lists.

    Only week 2.

As far as I'm aware we have one long term (nicolson) plus macgregors problematic ankle issue. I'm assuming the others are minor early season niggles, and Welsh tends to pick up plenty early season knocks so he isn't usually forced.

Not quite time for full blown parliamentary enquiry just yet.

The fact we're  starting 3 new signings means we'll be less reliant on these squad members who were playing into June, and can hopefully benefit from a run in the team.
