  1. No need to worry about me my friend :P.
  2. Alan, do you actually support ICT because your post makes me think you don't!? So what if Shankland signed for Utd, one man does not win a title as Ayr found out last season plus, how many times have Utd bottled it in big games, what makes you think that will change this season!? I am quite happy with our squad and am optimistic about the upcoming season due to the 2 draws this past few days plus, Utd lost 3-2 to Dumbarton and drew 1-1 with East Fife with fairly strong starting teams.
  3. Is it possible for someone to post our current squad here so that I know who we have and in what positions. Its good to know what our current squad is because, with all the signings, I'm lost as to who we have in each position lol.
  4. I wish people would stop posting crap about players leaving (supposedly) because, until they do leave, it just causes unrest between fans!! I don't mind rumours about signings as most know what ones are true and what ones are false but, that doesn't always happen regarding departures. I for one get p**d off when I see these rumours yet, nothing is in the papers regarding the same news as fans "supposedly" know. Rant over ?
  5. https://www.pressandjournal.co.uk/fp/sport/football/inverness-caledonian-thistle/1781852/robertson-remains-on-hunt-for-wide-player/. Another wide player then I would expect that is us for this transfer window . Is Anthony MacDonald a wide player or will we be looking at someone else from Hearts possibly, Sam Nicholson perhaps ? The promising part of the above article is that the gaffer plans on using some of the youngsters next season :-).
  6. The return of Anthony MacDonald would be fantastic, if it were to come to fruition. If that did indeed happen then I'd be very happy with the squad that we have and would not make more signings afterwards, unless other play leave. I said that I trusted John Robertson in the transfer market and he has delivered
  7. I read a Tweet not long after the signing was announced that, tomorrow we can expect another signing but I can't find it now lol. So, I wonder who it will be, Anthony MacDonald perhaps or maybe another defender :ictscarf: feel free to speculate lol (oh and it won't be Nicky Cadden as he's signed for Morton).
  8. https://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/sport/football/4369518/inverness-morton-aidan-nesbitt-transfer-news-celtic-dundee-united/. Looks like we can add Nesbitt to the list of "links" to the club.
  9. I see Accies have released Gary Woods which surprised me ? If we want another GK to be deputy to Ridgers then I'd definitely take him, same goes with if Mark left (which obviously I hope he doesn't). Ridgers, Woods and Cameron Mackay as our 3 GK would be ace :ictscarf: I know its highly unlikely but I am just stating my preference or opinion ?
  10. Now we are being linked with Ousmane Fane a French midfielder of Oldham by an Instagram user named Caleyhq, who also says Coll is being linked with County ?
  11. Here is some "names" that I seen on some transfer thread on pie and bovril (yeah, yeah, I know, they could be lying lol). So far we’ve been linked with Kallum Higginbotham, Anton Dowds, Nicky Cadden, James Vincent and James Craigan apparently- (the exact quote on p and b). Higginbotham is a no from me. The rest I would not say no to nor would I be disappointed if they did not sign probably with the exception of Cadden and Craigen. Fwiw, it was a member from here (Highland Capital) that posted it hence why I have my doubts over the truth lol.
  12. Of course we can, they are no better than us, apart from last Friday it has been a single goal win for them over us plus, we beat them in the cup. And then there is the fact that Utd will be rebuilding soon (lots of players will leave or be released) so they will need time to gel. I believe that if we can start off fast then we'll win the title with a few matches to spare. Again, a lot rests on how many players we lose too, the less, the better as that means we will have more or less the same squad as this season. Anything is possible with King Robbo at the helm :ictscarf:
  13. Is it true that we are in for James Craigen, Stellios, Michael Tidser because these are ones I've seen mentioned on Twitter this past week ? Also, what is happening regarding the Anthon Dowds rumours because that's gone quiet of late? By the way, I am not worried about if either of these players above sign or not, I am trusting Robbo to work his magic in the transfer market and, also, retaining our current players is more important than signing new ones imho.
  14. Not in my house its not ?
  15. Is it to early to be thinking about this ? I am fairly pessimistic regarding Robbo staying, in fact I am going to say that I am shitting it regarding him leaving and who we appoint, where are we going etc as our current board are useless twats who sell our best players to rivals, without replacing them with similar quality or even explaining to us fans why they leave etc. So for me, this whole episode worries me so much so that I fear Robertson will resign in disgust at not being allowed to speak to Dundee. Then the fear is, who do we replace him with, bearing in mind that we would not get compensation as he'd have resigned. For me, I would go for someone like Paul Sheerin but we would need to find money from somewhere to entice him to leave Aberdeen. I am not normally this worried regarding our club so that is saying something that even I am fearing the worst. Hopefully I am wrong and, if I am, I will welcome all the criticism coming my way ?
  16. Don't you think that if Robbo wanted to talk to Dundee, he'd have resigned by now as that's usually what happens when clubs refuse other clubs permission to talk to another club! Anyway, I'm still not comfortable and am not sure that this is the end of the situation, until Robbo makes a statement himself!
  17. I see Hibs have released a lot of players, one of which includes Ross Laidlaw so, if Ridgers were to leave (hopefully unlikely) I'd consider him as a replacement. He could even come in as number 2 behind Ridgers and ahead of Cameron Mackay but I don't think he'd want to be number 2 choice. Others released by Hibs that I'd consider are Thomas Agyepong and Lewis Allan. As you peeps know, I'm not good at this so I'll leave it to IHE lol.
  18. I'm going to post something here which proves that I do listen to the mods lol (I spoke to Scotty a couple of months ago and promised to change. He will confirm this hopefully ? Anyway, I think we had a good season, draws were our undoing and silly late goals such as Queens game where we were 1 up with 5mins left yet lost 1-2 and Falkirk 3-2 defeat a month ago. For next season, I'd like to see Robbo retain our best players (if possible) and play the youngsters such as McGregor, Harper, Machado and Danny Mackay whilst also scouring the market for bargains like he has done before. I trust Robbo in the market and tbh, he's already signing players which is a bonus. My only fear is, he may be off if Hearts sack Level or Holt leaves for Kilmarnock if Clarke does indeed take on Scotland job. Please Robbo, stay another season and get us back to Premier league.
  19. CaleyTennis replied to Tree's topic in Caley Thistle
Great news so hopefully more follow .
  20. Maybe a loan or two because I'm not too keen on loans, unless we can eventually get them permanently because the players just go back to their club then get loaned back out somewhere else the next transfer market. I would far rather look at the lower leagues in Scotland, something that I know has been mentioned on here is that there is real prospects down there, or look to see what becomes available from down in England, I'm sure clubs may be releasing real talent or even experienced pros but, I would stress that I would only like to see seasoned pros signed if they improve the team, not just to sit on the bench or signed because their experienced. But, I do trust John Robertson to succeed in the market with what he has available . I still believe the Norwich strategy should be looked at by us, and many other clubs because they didn't sign players for fortunes, some were even on frees and signed a vast majority of their academy team in order to stay on a sound footing and Mr Webber didn't wield the axe, even when results were not great, he backed Daniel Farke and now look at them.
  21. In my honest opinion, what we actually need is the same strategy that Mr Webber used at Norwich this season ? Norwich didn't have much of a budget so signed a lot of their academy players to the first team whilst going into the market and signing, mainly young players for hardly any money, so had to be patient with Daniel Farke, the head coach. So, I think that is maybe a strategy we can use, hopefully keep the core of our squad but if not, then go into the transfer market and sign a few young players that have a point to prove and also sign a few of our youngsters such as McGregor, Harper and Daniel Mackay (I've probably missed a few more) on full team contracts .
  22. Updated with what I would do if I was managing ICT ;). So on that, I would sign 2 Strikers, one to replace Austin and possibly one from OFW wages. We need to replace Polworth too but I would like to see some of the youngsters get a chance, McGregor, Harper etc have been on the bench this past few games yet don't get on which is a shame. On signings, I'd be looking at players from the leagues below or possibly even loans from Premier League teams youngsters that aren't playing much, for example, the boy Kane at St J.
  23. Can I ask what he has done to rile so many of our fans on Twitter, apart from be a useless footballer, who, in my humble opinion needs released or sold during the summer?? Another that should be ashamed of himself, and deserves as much pelters is Brad McKay but that is for another thread.
  24. I would be more than happy to give youngsters a chance or try and recruit youngsters released by other clubs, especially if we hold on to the majority of the experience we have currently :). One thing I have never doubted Robbo on is his recruitment of players.
