Well, next weekend is another massive game in our quest to end 2nd in the league. Hopefully the players are going to put today's performance right because us fans are owed a big performance after that dross. After the last loss to Arbroath, we went on a good run which was halted by Partick so let's hope for the same again but I'm not confident and fear a loss to Dundee which will result in us blowing second and ending 3rd. After today, anyone of the 10 outfield players could be dropped but, will we actually see many changes! Ridgers Tremarco, McCart, Donaldson, Rooney Doran, Carson, Vincent, McGregor Storey and Keatings.

I would not say no to Keanu Marsh-Brown but would probably say no to the other we are linked with (Agustien). Anyway, in reply to this thread, on the evidence of our last two abysmal performances against Arbroath and the two against Partick as well, anyone of the squad bar Ridgers should be fearful of being punted!!

I see some geezer on pie and bovril had recently posted a post saying we are after Kemy Agustien from Bradford. I went back on to the site about 15 mins later and noticed the post had gone but it was still visible through a reply from a fan of us who was basically laughing off the rumour lol. I do see us possibly sign players but it will be after some are offloaded, however, I would not be disappointed if we don't sign anybody. Ps. Notice how hard I am trying to stay on the mods good side by not reacting or even posting after bad results lol.

In reply to the above link from the BBC, that's not what Scot Gardiner says in his article in the Score pull out in Yesterday's Sunday Post, he basically hints at some signings being possible for January.

It seems like the Arbroath debacle was the kick up the a*** that the lads needed, we've not lost a match since that day. Its good to get clear of Dundee and Arbroath, and potentially Ayr (unless they win midweek) but it's Dunfermline that we need to be wary of imho. Imho, Utd will be hard to dislodge so we will probably be in the play offs again, so the less matches we have in them,the better.

My original post was basically asking the question, so thanks for all the bites ?. My question was based on JR going to Hearts lol, I know I said that I do want him gone, which is true but I was basing it on the hope that he gets the Hearts job. I am not going to respond to the negative comments because that's what you want lol, hence why I have g down the banter route in my first paragraph here.

I noticed from Facebook, Twitter and on here that most want Robertson to either leave for Hearts or get the sack so my question to these fans (which include myself incidentally) is, who would you like to see replace him? For me its Dick Campbell (highly unlikely) or Paul Sheerin with Charlie Christie as assistant and Garry Warren as First Team Coach.

With Craig Levein more or less nearing the exit door at Tynecastle, talk of replacements will start and, I fear one name that will be strongly linked is John Robertson :(. I was not a fan mid way through last season but did grow to become a fan again due to the incredible season we had. We have started this season very strongly, apart from the Utd hammering, so to lose him would be a massive, massive blow to us, but it would mean compensation which could lead to finding a useful replacement, but I want him to stay to lead us to promotion (remember that claim lol). Is anyone as worried as me or am I being silly lol, I mean, there are others Hearts could go for?

Alan, do you actually support ICT because your post makes me think you don't!? So what if Shankland signed for Utd, one man does not win a title as Ayr found out last season plus, how many times have Utd bottled it in big games, what makes you think that will change this season!? I am quite happy with our squad and am optimistic about the upcoming season due to the 2 draws this past few days plus, Utd lost 3-2 to Dumbarton and drew 1-1 with East Fife with fairly strong starting teams.

Is it possible for someone to post our current squad here so that I know who we have and in what positions. Its good to know what our current squad is because, with all the signings, I'm lost as to who we have in each position lol.

I wish people would stop posting crap about players leaving (supposedly) because, until they do leave, it just causes unrest between fans!! I don't mind rumours about signings as most know what ones are true and what ones are false but, that doesn't always happen regarding departures. I for one get p**d off when I see these rumours yet, nothing is in the papers regarding the same news as fans "supposedly" know. Rant over ?

Another wide player then I would expect that is us for this transfer window . Is Anthony MacDonald a wide player or will we be looking at someone else from Hearts possibly, Sam Nicholson perhaps ? The promising part of the above article is that the gaffer plans on using some of the youngsters next season :-).

The return of Anthony MacDonald would be fantastic, if it were to come to fruition. If that did indeed happen then I'd be very happy with the squad that we have and would not make more signings afterwards, unless other play leave. I said that I trusted John Robertson in the transfer market and he has delivered

I read a Tweet not long after the signing was announced that, tomorrow we can expect another signing but I can't find it now lol. So, I wonder who it will be, Anthony MacDonald perhaps or maybe another defender :ictscarf: feel free to speculate lol (oh and it won't be Nicky Cadden as he's signed for Morton).

I see Accies have released Gary Woods which surprised me ? If we want another GK to be deputy to Ridgers then I'd definitely take him, same goes with if Mark left (which obviously I hope he doesn't). Ridgers, Woods and Cameron Mackay as our 3 GK would be ace :ictscarf: I know its highly unlikely but I am just stating my preference or opinion ?

Here is some "names" that I seen on some transfer thread on pie and bovril (yeah, yeah, I know, they could be lying lol). So far we’ve been linked with Kallum Higginbotham, Anton Dowds, Nicky Cadden, James Vincent and James Craigan apparently- (the exact quote on p and b). Higginbotham is a no from me. The rest I would not say no to nor would I be disappointed if they did not sign probably with the exception of Cadden and Craigen. Fwiw, it was a member from here (Highland Capital) that posted it hence why I have my doubts over the truth lol.

Of course we can, they are no better than us, apart from last Friday it has been a single goal win for them over us plus, we beat them in the cup. And then there is the fact that Utd will be rebuilding soon (lots of players will leave or be released) so they will need time to gel. I believe that if we can start off fast then we'll win the title with a few matches to spare. Again, a lot rests on how many players we lose too, the less, the better as that means we will have more or less the same squad as this season. Anything is possible with King Robbo at the helm :ictscarf:

Is it true that we are in for James Craigen, Stellios, Michael Tidser because these are ones I've seen mentioned on Twitter this past week ? Also, what is happening regarding the Anthon Dowds rumours because that's gone quiet of late? By the way, I am not worried about if either of these players above sign or not, I am trusting Robbo to work his magic in the transfer market and, also, retaining our current players is more important than signing new ones imho.

Is it to early to be thinking about this ? I am fairly pessimistic regarding Robbo staying, in fact I am going to say that I am shitting it regarding him leaving and who we appoint, where are we going etc as our current board are useless twats who sell our best players to rivals, without replacing them with similar quality or even explaining to us fans why they leave etc. So for me, this whole episode worries me so much so that I fear Robertson will resign in disgust at not being allowed to speak to Dundee. Then the fear is, who do we replace him with, bearing in mind that we would not get compensation as he'd have resigned. For me, I would go for someone like Paul Sheerin but we would need to find money from somewhere to entice him to leave Aberdeen. I am not normally this worried regarding our club so that is saying something that even I am fearing the worst. Hopefully I am wrong and, if I am, I will welcome all the criticism coming my way ?
