  1. With the attendence at the last home game just over the 3000 mark i think trying to get more ppl in by free tickets to youngsters is a great idea. The season is reaching its climax and we are still needing vital points to ensure safety. The more ppl in the ground the better. The club MUST do more to increase attendences. Inverness should be getting around 4000 for your Kili, St mirren, St johnstone etc games. 3000 is almost embarrassing
  2. Dont have any problems with the groundshare. Think county would have the normal home end for there home games just like ICT have. If county were the home team i would imagine that ICT would just get the away end and some of the main stand like the old firm get. I agree with CB though as i doubt this will even happen. Does anyone know what county are going to do at victoria park? The ground is quite small and if memory serves me right theres the football academy behind one goal, a railway behind the other and the car park behind the main stand. Where are they going to put the extra seats needed?
  3. If we can win our game on saturday and the pars lose. Then we will be 12 points clear with still a game in hand. Thats a very nice cushion so i dont think its squeeky bum time yet. If we were to lose our next 2 and the pars win there next 2, then its squeeky bum time
  4. Rangers clearly mean business today! My hopefullness is quickly deminishing
  5. Thats a good attacking line up from TB. I can't see this one being a 0-0. The rangers lineup fills me with confidence, it looks like a very weak rangers team. C'mon the caley jags!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  6. An investigation has been launched after the Rangers v Kilmarnock match as a £1 coin was thrown onto the pitch. The police are still not sure if it was a missile of a takeover bid!
  7. He's Czech. He never played at the Caley Stadium. So he is, my bad
  8. Did Jiri Jarosik play against us when he was at celtic? If so he's Russian
  9. Having stayed in dunfermline, i have only just got back in so thought i would give my thoughts on the game. All in all i thought the game was pretty poor form both sides. Caley had the better of the 1st half with some good passing and moving in the midfield. I thought foran was excellent with his passing and distibution and there was a lot of running off the ball. All that was lacking was the final ball into the box and when there was a chance on goal the finishing was very poor. Dunfermline did not deserve a 1st half lead, good free kick but very lucky with were the ball ended up. Unlucky goal to lose. I thought in the 2nd half, we were very very poor in the 1st 20mins and were lucky not to go more behind. All the good passing from the 1st half and the moving off the ball just stopped, there was no width and we resorted to using the frustrating long ball tatic which was never going to work. sutherland had a poor game and mckay was much better when he came on, held the ball up better and look much more confident in going forward and did excellent in the goal build-up. Tudor-jones was also more effective than gnakpa when he came on although i thought gnakpa had a decent 1st half. All in all i think a draw was a fair score over 90 mins but a dissappointing game. Esson - not a lot to do but did well when needed Meekins - Average game, did well when going forward Proctor - Poor game, think tokely for the next game Gillet - Not bad considering he's a left back Shinnie - Decent game Hayes - Poor 1st half but improved in 2nd, great cross for the goal Foran - excellent in 1st half, great awerness Ross - Right place at right time for the goal, solid game sutherland - Poor game, Lets hope tade is back soon, he;s been missed Gnakpa - Ok 1st half, poor 2nd Tansey - Played well, few cheep mistakes but all in all a satisfactory game
  10. Support form his father, always what a son wants too hear. Although i would love Caledonia to be the club song/anthem or if it was to be something else i can belt out at the top of my voice, i still have my doubts on how much it would catch on. There has always been and i strongly beleive that there always will be those at the games who just refuse to sing/get behind the team/shout encouragement but would rather moan and groan at the things that go wrong. To be honest, these tend to be the older supporters so maybe a club song would get them going as they do like to sing along to a golden oldie.
  11. Maybe the club could resarect "bring it on home" but perhaps it should be left in the archives. I personally think that the best song to get sung at the games would be Caledodia by Frankie Millar (Well by dougie maclean but the frankie miller version is better). I think the lyrics are just perfect for our club. I dont know if you can see, the changes that have come over me In these last few days, ive been afraid that i might drift away And ive been tellin old stories, singing songs That made me think about where i came from Thats the reason why i seem so far away today. CHORUS Oh but let me tell you that i love you And i think about you all the time Caledonia your callin me and im goin home But if i should become a stranger You know that it would make me more than sad Caledonia your everythin ive ever had. Could always change the word caledonia to caley thistle perhaps. Thoughts?
  12. Firstly we have to get past the pars then worry about the celtic game. If we do get through then playing celtic to reach the last 8 is a game that most ICT fans would love to go to. The away support already get about a third or the ground by having the whole of the south stand so i would be totally against giving them any more. I dont think at any other SPL ground do the old firm have such i high percentage of the seats so no way should get any more
  13. Good to see terry dabbling in the transfer window. steve williams makes for good reading and hope he has a successful loan period and if he's any good could lead to a perminant signing
  14. With davis out suspended and hogg, tudor jones, doran out in injured its difficult to pick a starting 11. However, we are always expected to loss against rangers, espially at ibrox so i dont see any point in sitting back so we may as well go all out and give it a go. Why not start with hayes, foran, mckay, tade, shinnie, cox and just go for it. If we get a point out of the game then grill but if we get gubbed then its half expected but i feel we should at least give it a go
  15. Our form my not be very good at the moment but we are only 2 points off 9th spot. If we can get 2 or 3 wins before the new year i would be happy to take it and then kick on into next year. Hopefully the club can sign a player or two in january (rooney bk on loan perhaps as he's not playing at birmingham)Obviously the injuries have not helped and once the team is injury free i really think we will be more than safe for another year.
  16. Very hard to make a top 5 list as we had so so many different styles of midfielder over the years. From the defensive based ones like russell duncan to the very attacking ones like barry wilson. I think this list should be more about the fans enjoyed watching them play football. My list would then be: 1. Wilson 2. Christie 3. Robson 4. Sheerin 5. Duncan
  17. I think keep the same as last time. The current team selection need time to gel more with the current state of affiars regarding injuries. Until the 1st team players that are definate starters return i dont think the starting 11 should change. Another 3 points tomorrow i think.
  18. I remember at a similar stage of the season when we were in the 1st div two years back and we were struggling for goals. I said start with rooney, give him a chance and step back and watch. He scored 3 that day. Towards the end of last season, sutherland looked very sharp and hungry for goals. If he starts against st mirren i predict fireworks

    Signings

I am unsure on the signings we have made. Tade looks ok and is starting to settle in a bit better so hopefully will keep improving and score a few more in the weeks to come. McKay is unproven so cant pass judgement. Tansey is the best of the signings and looks very good indeed. Piermayr is good. I hope that davis and chippendale are decent enough, seems like we got them in in a hurry due to injury so hopefully they arnt just a stab in the dark
  20. I could maybe see a case for handball in the 1st half however the 2 they got in the 2nd are unbelievable. Tokelys tackle is spot on and aldred never touched that diving git. But its rangers, what do you expect!!
  21. Fantastic news, the defence was a worry as it didnt have that physical presence that we desperatly needed. Now with hogg back there should be greater disiplin and more of a presence in front of esson. So whats the defensive line going to look like now? Will tokely move to right back with aldred staying in the team or will tokely stay at center back with hogg?
  22. Esson Proctor Tokely Aldred Gillet Tansey Hayes Ross Doran Foran Sutherland Subs: Tuffey Shinnie Shinnie Tade McKay Morrison I am very surprised that i am the only person so far to put sutherland in the starting 11. He had a terrific end to last season and deserves to start this one
  23. I would love to finish in the top half of the table and i truely do think it is possible. However i would still be happy with 7th/8th/9th but as long as we are still playing good football. I would like to think that we will be well clear of the bottom 2 or 3 sides at the very least. Semi-final of a cup would be good as well
  24. Great news to have doran signed up and not just on loan. Hope McKay can fit in well andit looks like the team is shaping up nicely at last. We seem to have a good midfield and a solid, quick attack so i will be expecting lots of goals. I do agree with my old man that the defence still looks a bit suspect. We a darran dodds of old sort of player so sure up the defence and i think ICT shall be ready for another top 6 charge
