  1. With the team having a dip in form i think its worth changing a few things around, maybe giving Pepper a start aint such a bad idea
  2. Somehow i think Lewandowski is a tad out of our price range, but the logic behind it is fair enough
  3. I don't know what other fans feelings are about this game but i am supremely confident of a win and a convincing win at that. I haven't felt as confident since i thought we would win away at celtic after the gubbing by motherwell. The away support we have (although small) is fantastic and sing all match long and i think the players almost prefer to play away from home because of this. i really think i 3-0 or a 3-1 win for caley is on the cards today
  4. I think if we can win 4 ( very realistic) then we shall be comfortably in the top 6. It will then be very tight in the top 6 and anyones to play for for the european spots. Even if we dont make europe, at the start of the season if you where asked if you would be happy to see the club in the top 6 and the semi final of the league cup, i think EVERY SINGLE FAN would have taken that then and there no questions asked.
  5. However, further to my previous post, according to wikipedia again, both kilmarnock and motherwell have smaller populations than inverness but get larger crowds than we do. I suppose they may have a larger catchment area though and this is why there crowds are a bit larger
  6. Just an interesting point i thought i'd mention. The attendance against KIllie was 2529 for a wed night game with Real v Man utd on the tele, not great i am sure every one will agree. Now according to wikipedia, inverness has a population of 58963 which means ROUGHLY 4.28% of the population were at the game. Now take the Aberdeen game tonight. No high profile Champions league game on tv and is not a midweek match. The attendance was 7841 and according to wikipedia the population of aberdeen is 220420 which means ROUGHLY only 3.6% of the population showed up. Now i know these are rough figures and away fans are included in the calculation but it makes for slightly better reading
  7. Clearly the crowd against Killie was unusually low and is probably one of the lowest at TCS in the SPL. We all want the club to maintain their good form and stay near the top off the table but the players are sure to get dejected when the stadium is only a third full. I can totally understand TB comments. I think extra effort from the fans is needed at out next home game.
  8. Why not a conga? Get a massive one going just as the players are coming out at the strat of match, home or away. They more its done the more people will join each week. I think its a great idea
  9. Billy McKay to bounce right back and score again today,

    Reality

Still a long way to go but i am sure that terry will be telling the players that we are 2nd in the league for a reason, because we deserve to be there. I think as long as we win at home, we will stay near the top

    Reality

Despite are good form so far this season, we are only 9 points ahead of st mirren and county in 10th and 11th. The league is very compact from 2nd to 11th and far from over. I have complete faith that our form will continue and will remain firmly in the top 6.
  12. McKays in terms of importance but if you look at the footage, he had to stretch for the ball slightly which is why he probably opted to take s touch instead of hitting it 1st time. Rooney's is just a diabolical miss. But do any one these come close to Kanu's miss for west brom? Put it over the bar from a yard with an open goal
  13. Why oh why did we resorted to the long ball today when Hearts went down to ten men? Absalutely ridiculous! The team have been playing so well this seasom by playing fast flowing football and when the opposition go down to 10 men, all the more reason to keep it on the deck and pass it about.
  14. First and formost, what a cracking day out, fantastic atmosphere in the stadium. The game itself was a bit disappointing with us nowhere near our best. Had a few decent chances that in other games players like mcKay would have snapped up. Thought the referee had a poor game, how we had more players in the book i will never understand with how physical hearts were being. Thought there new sticker Ngoo was a right handfull in the air and caused us lots of problems at set plays from which he hit the post. None of the players had there best games today and some were quite a bit below there best. But Roberts? A big 0 out of 5 when he came on. All he did was give the ball away and then miss the desicive penalty. Fantastic for the club to get to a semi final and lets hope we can get as far in the other cup and continue the league form.
  15. With McKay being the spl top scorer you would expect his value to be pretty healthy considering that hooper has been subject to offers of over £5m and he is 3 goals behind. But in the SPL it doesnt matter how good you are or how many goals you score, its all about the team you play for. If McKay was at Celtic he would he worth in the millions. At hearts, hibs, aberdeen perhaps750k-£1m. Dundee utd, killie, motherwell perhaps 500k-750k but at inverness i would expect clubs to bid about 3-400k for him. In my opinion ICT have never got value for money for the players they have sold as clubs do not want to pay the big bucks for players they still believe are from a small club
  16. I know you should never really use things from wikipedia but the following was on there and i wondered if anyone know if there was any truth in it? "The redevelopment in 2004–05 included the construction of two new stands at either end of the ground, which made the stadium all-seater and increased its capacity to over 7,500. These stands were built in a remarkable 47 days by the Tulloch Construction Company who are also the club's biggest shareholder. As Tulloch also paid part of the development cost, the stadium had the Tulloch name added to it on completion of the work. The club added a very small stand,[when?] opposite the Main Stand called "the West Stand." With a capacity of around 400, the stand was the smallest free-standing football stand in the Scottish Premier League. There are plans to build a full scale west-stand which would look very much like that of the Main Stand though a gas pipe in the area may cause a problem. If a full scale west stand was added to would take the capacity of the ground to around 10,000 seats. There may also be plans in the future to join the Main Stand with the North Stand to give the ground an even larger capacity."
  17. Also does anyone know how many tickets we have managed to shift fot this game?
  18. What about the 1800 to 1900 season ticket holders that provide money to the club each year and give money direct to OUR club. Do you not care about them going? ( by the way I go home and away) Why are these people choosing this game as one to attend? Because its a cup semi with the chance of profession to a final (which is of course a massive achievement for us) My issue is where were they when it was a baltic day in Perth or when we battled back from 3 nil down at Tannadice. There are people travelling huge distances to this game because they recognise it as potentially an historic occasion and I respect that. But if we assume all the regular away fans are ST holders then there are 1600+ others who do not regularly travel away and I have to question why. OK. I'll bite. This smacks a bit of the "only the regular away fans are real fans" nonsense that crops up from time to time. Time for a reality check here I think. There is a small minority who regularly go to away matches and make a lot of noise. That's fantastic. Obviously those fans personal circumstances allow them to do it. But amongst those are a few who are central belt based and who don't get to all the home games. Some will actually attend fewer games in total than those who attend all the homes games but don't travel. In another post you talk about folk being disrespectful but in doing so you are being disrespectful of others. OK, so there are a lot of season ticket holders who don't go to away games but there are also a lot of season ticket holders who aren't able to get to all the home games but have supported the club by buying a season ticket all the same. Respect to them, please. Bear in mind also that supporting the club at home puts more cash into the club's coffers than going to an away match. And it really is disrespectful of the many hundreds of fans who go to home games who are rarely able to go to away matches because of work and family commitments. Just be grateful that so many have been able to rearrange their lives so that they can support the team on Saturday. Remember too that there are many who, because of their health or the health of loved ones they care for simply can't travel. Of course we would all like the support to be bigger but we all have our personal reasons for whether we choose to attend any game or not. If you are able to get to most games then that is just great. For whatever reason, most supporters go to half the games or less and if we want the club to flourish we should make them all feel welcome whenever they are able to or choose to come to a game. Make them feel welcome and who knows, they just might help swell the ranks at the next away league game. I am coming up for Wakefield for this game and yes, it is my 1st game of the season but for many reasons. 1. being 4 hours away from the nearest game. 2. Work commitments some weekends. 3. planning my wedding. I have supported the club from the 1st day of the seaon in 1994 and always will do. My support and love for the club is no different to those who attend every week, i just have to try and make it when i can and this is one of those weekends whether it had been a cup semi final or not. Well said Dad!!
  19. I am most likely to be repeating what a lot of people have already said but i think it would be a big mistake for terry to leave. To be the manager of an SPL side, 2nd in the league, playing for a european place currently, semi-final of a cup and the players playing very well together with a great atmosphere in the dressing room. Would you leave that for a side bottom of the championship, fighting relagation? I know i wouldn't. If you look at where barsnley have finished in the championship in the last 5 years it goes like this: 2011-2012: 21st place 2010-2011 17th place 2009-2010 18th place 2008-2009 20th place 2007-2008 18th place No higher than 17th in the last 5 seasons, they are a team that struggle every season in that league. I dont think it matters who barnsley have as manager, they are always going to be a bottom of the championship side.
  20. Free tickets for school kids was good when i was a primary school watching caley in the 90's. Maybe the club could offer free or cheap transport to away games. Maybe even some free shuttle buses from the different areas of inverness to the stadiums on match days. buses from Holm/Hilton/Drakies/Dalniegh etc

    Billy McKay

Whether he was on the bench or not its another achievment to see another ICT player being called up to thier respected national team
  22. With the team doing so well at the moment it seems daft to change the line up unless we have too. I think roberts needs to start this game but if he plays like he did against hearts then questions will so be asked. Same line up for me.
  23. He will have no problems getting another job at at least championship level. What he did with burnley was simply stunning
  24. The final will most likely be played at which ever OF team is not in the final, if neither are then it will be either or, if both are in the final then Murrayfield i guess.
