  1. Doesn't matter that he is now available. One player does not win you a match and we still have a much better team than hearts.
  2. I think he could be our version of Leighton Baines. He is very good in defence and has got better and better in going forward. I think playing him on the left side of midfield with Tremarco at left back maybe the way forward, especially when foran, draper and Vincent are back.
  3. You either need to hit a penalty in the bottom or top corners (top a bit more risky) and with plenty of pace. Do that and the keeper has no chance
  4. I am really glad to see him back. With the injuries and suspensions we have at the moment he will surely go straight into the 1st team. I think when Foran, Vincent, Draper etc are all back then Tansey will drop to the bench but it is good to have some better cover for when we have players out. For to many years now the quality of the cover has just not been up to sratch
  5. I am sure I am not the only one wishing Michael Schumacher a speedy recovery from his terrible skiing accident. F1 may have been a bit boring when he was winning all the time but it goes to show what a legend of the sport he really is! Here's hoping for good news soon
  6. For me, that performance was very frustrating to watch. Celtic, even with having a full strength squad on the pitch were way way short of there best and were there for the taking. We lacked that final killer pass in the last 3rd of the park to get billy into a really genuine scoring position, hence why we where forced to take shots from the edge of the box most of the time. We are missing Vincent and Foran and it showed yesterday. Apart from the 1st 10 mins when Celtic carved us open like turkeys, we were on par for most of the rest of the match. What frustrated me the most was when we were in possession in the middle 3rd with men forward, what did we do? We went backwards!!! We did this all afternoon and made me scream at the TV. I know keeping possession is important but you are not going to score unless you go forward. There just wasn't enough movement off the ball in the final 3rd and that's the reason we didn't score in my opinion. On a positive note, Forster did have more saves to make so we did create chances but they were mainly from range. I think against the other teams in the league, That performance would have got us the win. Celtics defence was solid and only let us have a pop at goal from distance. Thought the 2 subs played well for the time they were on and would like to see Christie play for a bit longer against County. I think a win against county is vital for confidence and in the push for a European place.
  7. He definitely made an impact in the 5 mins he was on the pitch. Don't think he will start against RC but think he should get at least 20/30 mins so show what he can do
  8. I think he had a decent ga,e on the whole but I do feel he gave a few to many soft free kicks to both sides for minor pushes
  9. Sorry, Curtis who?
  10. Does anyone know if this game is on BT sport?
  11. Having heard that St Johnstone have turned down an offer of £300K for Stevie May it got me thinking about how much players in Scottish football are actually worth. St Johnstone have valued May at £800K but i actually think he is worth more. He has scored 8 goals already and he is only 21 years old. He is only going to get better and the potential there is extremely promising. Considering Blackburn bought David Goodwillie for £2m and Norwich bought Hooper for £5m, does that mean that hooper is over 10 times better than May? If St Johnstone are valuing May at £800K, how much should ICT be valuing McKay? £1m? £2m? It must be more than May as he is more proven at this level and has scored more goals. However, if ICT were to recieve an offer for him i would be surprised if its anything over £500K because he plays for ICT. If Mckay was at Dundee Utd, Aberdeen, Motherwell and scoring like he is for us, he would demand a fee much higher because of the club he plays for. It would be even more at Celtic.
  12. "Give me your f***ing money"
  13. As long as we win and get our name in the hat for the next round and ill be satisfied. Would be great to put out a statement by thumping them but the cup is unpredictable and we can't get cockey
  14. I like the optimism!
  15. What me old man said!
  16. Superb news, lets get the rest of the team signed up on long term deals as well. The future is looking bright
  17. Hughes and shiels are to inconsistent as managers. Really hope we don't get either. Terry Butcher was a manager who could attract people to the club and I cant see hughes or shiels doing that.
  18. I'll be coming up from Wakefield for the game but will probably have to stay the Saturday in order to make sure I make the kick off. Shocking decision by the SPFL to have the game when it is
  19. I believe Sir Alex Ferguson is available
  20. So ICT are 10 points ahead of hibs with a game in hand, and on todays evidence, playing a hell of a lot better. ICT are also in another cup semi final. Why is butcher leaving? It can't be for footballing reasons!!! I knew we would win today, the players, I reckon wanted to show butcher what he'd be missing. To move to hibs is nothing short of baffling.
  21. Hibs! Really? Its hardly a step up. If he does leave then it is clearly for financial reasons. Why would leave a team 3rd in the league, semi final of a cup for one out of the same cup and in the bottom half of the league? Money!!!!
  22. Well that beats my journey of an 800 mile round trip from Wakefield. I don't get to make it to many matches so was very excited to make it to this one so I booked 2 days of annual leave, spent £85 train fare and for what, half a match. I'm not expecting county to reimburse me but I am going to write to the club and ask none the less as I think they should do considering it was not extenuating circumstances or the weathers fault.
  23. Having watched the oneshow the other day when the guests were the proclaimers it got me thinking. They showed a clip from the Scottish cup final when Hibs were in it of the fans singing Sunshine on Leith. Inverness really really desperately need a song, an anthem of such that the fans can really make their own to belt out at matches. Here is a clip of sunshine on Leith from a few years back but genuinely made my spine tingle. I am going to write to the club and see what their opinions are on this matter and maybe try and actually get something going. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sPXCNwBu_t8
  24. Hopefully the game against St Johnstone was a one off. In the absence of Vincent I would like to see Greenhaugh given a start as he has played pretty well in the games he has come off the bench. A good win this weekend will set us up nicely for the county match
  25. Should ICT and RC merge? What a stupid question!!!!!
