  1. Yay if we promote, Nay if we don’t. He would do better if he had a more experienced assistant. Where did Ross Jack go? Billy will offer a lot, but that other guy (Nicholson I think), seems a good guy but has only coached at Highland league and kids football. Maybe they are all at their maximum level.
  2. I’m not sure of his name, the journalist sitting behind me was talking to the young guy who works for the club and I think he said Kwerte Lucan ??? Not sure on the spelling, but that’s how he pronounced it.
  3. I am a single parent with 2 kids that works for the NHS. If my kids didn’t attend some of the community football events ( big thanks to them), I would have no interest in going , but my kids love the football. I however find a home matchday not very entertaining and quite expensive. I do appreciate things have improved with Trust volunteers etc, but to claim they gain nothing from this is not case nor believable. After giving the voting rights away ( the deal would have happened regardless), they now seem to take a view that fans will pay over the odds for an average matchday experience. I appreciate also I may be in the minority that thinks this but others may have more money than me. You are not doing as good a job as you think you are, please take this as my last comment on this matter and if you dare……. Listen to some match day feedback and comments more often !
  4. As in the Trust don’t pay for those things…… the Club does !!!!! I agree it’s much improved and the Trust have definitely benefited from the profit. The kiosks are run by the Club and any profit from that goes to the Club. Not the same thing !
  5. It’s not a pub in town though, is it? It’s a supporters bar at the stadium. It’s great the volunteers provide the service, but unlike pubs in town, bar 94 has no overheads ( staff costs, lease, lighting, electricity, rates etc)….. so still expensive in my eyes given what it is. My opinion, which won’t change just because others are happy to pay ( or have the funds to pay), the prices at bar 94.
  6. As I posted, it’s overpriced. I had my two kids with me. It’s not just the beer, it’s all products. My opinion, my comment.
  7. Great that Aaron got the send off he deserved. A decent crowd and a couple of good goals from County, especially the second. They didn’t look that good ( other than Hale), but we were not at it at all. I know it’s still pre season, but that was not a team that looked anywhere near good enough to be competitive at the top of league 1. The weather was good and overall I enjoyed the game, but same old poor matchday experience, long queues at the kiosks, over priced bar 94 and poor stewarding!!!! Some things will never change. ☹️
  8. CaleyCiuin replied to tm4tj's topic in Caley Thistle
    Aye !!
  9. If true, could affect when any potential new players could be signed up. Currently only 14/15 confirmed for next season, and most of those are young players. !
  10. I don’t have any shares, but if I did I’m sure I would hand them back as they are effectively worthless anyway. Others who may have a sentimental attachment to their shares may feel differently. I am a bit confused with the second last paragraph in the BDO statement above. It states all conditions need to be in place before the 22nd of May. Other than the shares issue, I thought they were? Has something changed? Are there still a major shareholders holding out, making it essential that AS needs the small share holders numbers to ensure he gets full control? Also the last paragraph is a bit blunt, no please or thank you for handing shares back, just an expectation to comply. It seems it’s the only way to save the Club, so I hope AS gets enough good will from small share holders. Will be interesting to see what happens if he doesn’t get 100% in!?
  11. I think our injuries will play a big part in our performance on Saturday. On one hand we may be without some regular starters, on another, a great opportunity for those who have been mainly on the bench to come on and make an impact. I hope every player is up for it and gives it everything .Same with the fans…….. Mon the Caley Jags !!!!
  12. The only player under contract for next season is Adam Mackinnon. It has been reported in the press that a few players have indicated they want to stay, but likely dependant on what league we are in, which as yet is still not certain. I imagine there will be quite a turnover of players with only the locally settled and younger players looking to stay regardless of league, perhaps????
  13. Drove down to this game today fairly optimistic we might get something, even with a depleted squad. Rubbish weather, rubbish performance, rubbish result. Right back in the relegation playoff fight. Now for a rubbish drive home ☹️.
  14. You’re right………..also, doesn’t mean the rest want to stay. Most will be looking at what’s best for them as the end of the season approaches.
  15. How many players from the current squad want to stay for next season?, and who do we think they are? Recent reporting says six have indicated they want to remain. If that is true and Kel and Billy think they are worth keeping, that would mean approximately another 18 players would have to be found !!!!!!
  16. Just back home now and still can’t believe we didn’t get something out that game given the amount of shots on goal we had. I know we have a few key players injured, but we just didn’t seem to have another gear to go up, or a change in shape or tactics. Annan were out to frustrate and waste time from the minute they scored, we just didn’t handle that well. Makes next weeks game so much more crucial, but perhaps when we are up against it, is when we are at our best.
  17. Well that was disappointing! Reality Check!
  18. I would still be concerned that only six have indicated they want to remain already. Only making an assumption here, but let’s say those that are settled here,( Devine, Mkay, McLeod, Strachan, walker, Nixon etc) are those not looking to move, that wouldn’t be a surprise. The reality is we are still in a relegation playoff place ( hopefully that changes tomorrow), and the best case is we stay in league 1, worst case league 2 or bust !!!!! We have seen with Bray how early players and clubs do their business before the end of the season, likely the majority either have plans for elsewhere, or can see themselves being better than league 1.
  19. Charle Christie and others have mentioned that the squad next season will be 22-23 players. With only 6 having indicated that they want to remain at the end of the season and no contracts being allowed to be extended under administration, that’s quite a number of new players to find. I suppose if we are out of administration before the last game of the leagues season in May, then maybe more players can be retained. Other than the 6 plus some academy graduates, most players will already be looking elsewhere for where they will be next season. With the current uncertainty of what league we will be playing in next season, potential investors and players may be put off by that and won’t commit early. Tough times ahead for the management team, even if we do come out of administration, which I’m hopeful we will in the not too distant future. A lot of squad turnover in the summer seems likely.
  20. Gave up queuing at the kiosk after 15 minutes, still loads of folk in front of me. Why is this always a problem?! Happy with the win though.
  21. The Captain is Devine, has been for a while now!
  22. Chill oot Charlie !!!
  23. I still find it incompetent in the extreme that the board and accountant (still at the club), kept signing off on thingsI ( players, stupid ventures, too much kit etc), that the club had no money for!!!!! I agree with your comments, who in their right mind would pay off the debt, then take on the costs of a loss making club!!!! AS has got money, but I suspect he needs assistance to take things forward.
