  1. Anyone else confused by the comment about no sideshows and then talk about bringing in a restaurant franchise? Restaurants etc are failing across the whole of the uk just now on almost an hourly basis. The idea that anyone is going to open one at the stadium with those existing risks and in an untested location is up there with running our own concerts, battery farms and the like.
  2. The administrator clearly said that secured debt does not fall within the CVA so Morrison will play no part in that. It wasn't clear how that would be dealt with but he seemed confident it was not a stumbling block.
  3. Les Miserables And surely it should be Kelty Kelty Bankrupt?
  4. If it's good enough for Sally!
  5. In matters like this I remind myself of Hanlon's Razor. "Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity."
  6. Given some of the criticism you've dished out to those who were down on Ferguson this post just makes you look like a bit of a dick.
  7. It's impossible to know who might stay/go etc as there are so many factors at play. Ultimately the administrators need to get costs down to a sustainable level because they can't assume there will be a buyer in x number of weeks. That means they will need to get to a stage where income covers costs and things like crowdfunding might help in the short term but it won't be viewed as income in terms of sustainability. If the club are burning six figures a month more than we can currently afford, that is a lot of cutting. They also have to deal with the debt. It would be of no shock to me if almost the entire squad has to be cut and we have to go almost entirely on academy players and perhaps even part timers. Having a business that can operate within it's means will trump one that can compete to stay in L1 and given the points penalty and likelihood of relegation they may decide squad strength doesn't factor very high on the priority list. As I said at the start it's impossible to know and I'm preparing for the bulk of players leaving but have everything crossed that doesn't happen.
  8. That feels inevitable and I imagine there will be a few skeletons will fall out of the cupboards along the way. All these people involved with claims of having the club at heart but couldn't work together over the years to ensure the club never ended up where it is today. I don't imagine that will change but I do hope personalities don't get in the way of getting through this without any more pain than is necessary.
  9. Scott Young may be least to blame of the directors but I don't think he was a dissenting voice given the fact it was him who signed both the charges on behalf if the board giving Ross Morrison pretty much full claim on all the club assets. Nice guy but it would seem equally gullible.
  10. The post that proves the point. You talk as if it's the responsibility of the entire city to provide circa 1500 people with a football match every couple of weeks. Do you also donate/attend and expect everyone else to donate/attend the rugby club, shinty club, athletics club, cinema, sports centre, rollerbowl, bmx park, golf courses, go kart centre, climbing centre, trampoline park gyms, whin park, bellfield park, etc to ensure they remain open? What makes ICTFC so different and special to the extent that the whole city is responsible for it?
  11. Booing or expressing displeasure at a player/manager/officials ability is not abuse and painting it as such is just another example of how matchdays (not just ours) are being continually sterilised. We have had incidents in the past where those shouts have crossed the line and become threatening or involved family members, sexuality, race etc and that's when it becomes abuse and unacceptable. I've not personally heard anything like that aimed at either DF or CF.
  12. I genuinely worry for Scott Young as he looks like a man on the verge of a breakdown. He joined the board with a genuine desire to improve the relationship between the fans and the club and has found himself front and centre in having to deal with the fallout of the actions of the rest of the board many of which have abandoned ship. I'm not the touchy feely type, but during the meeting today I just wanted to give him man hug and tell him none of this is on his shoulders. He stood in stark contrast to Christie who knows he can go back to his academy and centenary club positions and presented as way more 'relaxed'. Too many good people will suffer from this and that is the hardest thing.
  13. It's all starting to sound like a load of sentimental tosh. A couple of months back most people would have been happy to aee Ferguson booted but now the circumstances have changed and he's likely to depart due to administration instead of his own incompetence we have people trying to defend him. I don't hate Ferguson. He should never have been given the job in the first place and the way he sets out the team and tactics is enough to me the eyes bleed but appointed he was and responsibility for that lies elsewhere. Paying for overnight stays before away games and the even more bizarre scenario of him providing players petrol money and whatever is all about him protecting his image because he knows he'll be looking for another job very shortly. For the majority of managers and players this is a job and the whole claiming allegiance to the club etc is just to keep us as mug fans on side. Ferguson is not working for free and his wages will have been deferred. When administration happens he'll be top of the list for payment of that money. He claims to be paying player petrol etc. but see my comment on another chat thread as to why that's just BS and I imagine he's covering his boys costs and overplaying the situation. I don't hate Ferguson but he's playing the situation to ensure he remains employable once he's shown the door with us. Did he have to pay these things? No, but it makes him look good and as fans we are daft enough to praise him for it. I'm more concerned for the few staff behind the scenes who have shown real commitment to ICTFC. So let's stop with the 'aww poor Ferguson' bs. He may have been sold a pup by the **** Scot Gardiner and delusional Ross Morrison, but he will be far from the biggest loser in the chit show that we have become in the last 6 or 7 years. Ultimately he is a part of the problem even if he's not the cause of it.
  14. All the ones that the rest of the population of Inverness choose to do instead?
  15. The fact the players managed to perform sufficiently to take a win today speaks volumes for their individual character.
  16. ICTFC is no more entitled to custom from the people of Inverness than any other entertainment provider and it is total arrogance to think otherwise.
  17. I'm a little confused by this. Is the intimation that the club should be paying for players petrol and basic costs in addition to their salary and accommodation/bills and because they're not then Ferguson should be hailed as a hero for doing so? Sounds to me like some players are just really bad at managing their money and acting super entitled. I'd kill to be earning £400 a week and have no accommodation/bills to pay for.
  18. I'm told it means nothing. Will have been security for old borrowing or an overdraft with the bank. Likely removed as it's no longer valid. Could be part of a tidying up process ahead of administration.
  19. Reckon it's @Jack Waddington and the Kessock Bridge Layby Krew.
  20. Anderson (£1.2 million guy) has withdrawn interest. That means the only ine we know about who may still have an offer on the table is Makwana. If any offer is contingent on having more shares than are currently available then the board will need an AGM/EGM to alter the share structure to allow it. We know we don't have the funds to see us through the time necessary for that to happen which means administration is all but a certainty.
  21. Povlsen took one look at us and ran away. He already owns clubs in Denmark and Portugal so the multi club excuse (if true) would have been to get him out the door. I find it sad and pathetic that we have fans begging people with money to come in and throw it at the club for no good business reason. What's worse is that I suspect that will be the approach of the 3 remaining directors. Fyfes bizarre senile grandad like speech about the community department during the fans meeting is testament to that. Povlsen is not coming back to the table and we're seeing in Makwana and Anderson the type of interest we're able to muster.
  22. There's no way for any new investor to get sufficient shares to take them anywhere near the 50+% point without them also obtaining already issued shares. New shares could be created but that would require an AGM/EGM approval. It would also require a devaluing of shares to allow it to happen for £1.2 million. All of that is doable but the board themselves do not have the authority to accept an offer on that basis and with so many competing egos involved it's far from a certainty. If director loans are also to be converted to shares then it all gets even more ridiculous and complicated.
  23. I agree with all you say but there are insufficient shares available to purchase without them being sought from those who already own them and the board cannot give any guarantee on acquiring those to provide the 50.45% (nearer 56% when you factor in the supporters trust voting right). Put simply it's not an offer the board are able to accept even if they wanted to unless they already have written agreement on transfer of shares from existing shareholder/s to a new investor.
  24. When asked by The Press and Journal to sum up Gardiner’s time with Caley Thistle, Morrison said: “Was he perfect? 100% no. “Are you perfect? I’m not, not a chance, I couldn’t run a football club." We learned that the hard way.
