Points 1 and 6 I 100% agree with and do think the club will seriously consider, especially if Alan Savage and Charlie Christie remain involved in any capacity once we're out of administration! I, and most on here, seem to agree with Charlie Christie when he suggested/mentioned the 8-8-8 formula at the meeting a week or so before entering administration. It should be achievable imho, we more than certainly have 8 current players who could well be contracted next season. The 8 academy players coming through to the first team worries me as I'm not sure we have 8 ready to make the step up, 4 is perhaps more achievable . And I've banged on consistently that we should be utilising the Highland League market because I am fairly certain that there ARE players that can make the step up the leagues, though I'd suspect we'd need to wait until their out of contract unless they are available for a very cheap price! So we could easily operate on a slightly smaller budget than we currently have and still be successful imho especially if Scott Kellacher got the right players in because I certainly like his style of play . -

I know it's probably too early to discuss this as a) the window is closed and b) we need to wait for the club to be sold/bought but I was just interested to guage opinions on the 8-8-8 formula that Charlie Christie mentioned in the open meeting 2-3wks ago and seems keen to see implemented. We have a very good core squad of about 21 but I am not really sure of who is under contract next season (are 8 players even under contract ). I also don't really know much about the players in the academy but I am sure CC is confident of getting at least 4 through the academy otherwise he wouldn't have mentioned this formula . And finally, I am interested to guage how much Highland League players would cost because we certainly haven't signed anyone for a fee ever as far as I know. As has been stated before, no HL club is just going to GIVE us players, it's only right that we put bids in for the ones we could be after (I presume Scott will know of some from his playing days at Nairn etc). I really think the formula could be a viable option so I am interested to guage you guys opinions on this .

How long are their contracts, is it a certain length or only until new owners are found ? Tbh I actually hope it's the first one because that way it means they've been a success Tactics etc will also be interesting because Scott especially, has been first team coach under many managers including Terry Butcher so will have picked up a lot from these managers so let's hope he IS a success as manager

You have actually answered (in the last paragraph) what I was going to ask and that was, would the Anders bloke come back in if we entered administration because if so then that would be beneficial in our efforts to return back up the leagues to at the very least, The Championship . I'm not sure how tomorrow will go but I have a feeling that we may get the result we're hoping for and this Anderson bloke will save us from administration . -

I maybe posted this discussion a day earlier than I should have because I finally got round to watching the YouTube coverage of Monday's meeting, I suppose that did really give much info on my question of how long it will take us to recover from administration. Points that I agreed with are that we need to get the community back onside, it seems like that is something Alan Savage is trying to achieve but it won't be easy because a certain CEO really pissed them off. I also liked the suggestion of having a supporters trust member on the board and the fact that the community trust is hopefully going to continue because I really enjoy seeing the pictures on Facebook of the kids in the camps that Gordon mentioned occurs during the holidays etc. One thing that I passionately agreed with was something Charlie Christie says, this really needs to be the way forward. He said it was ludicrous that we finished a match last season with a near FULL TEAM OF LOANEES, he isn't wrong imho and I know many fellow fans will agree with me on that ! He says that it's achievable to run with a squad of 24 which will be a mixture of youth, players under contract and players sourced from the Highland League. He knows as well as we do that the Highland League market is one we should be targeting rather than the lower leagues of England because there ARE players in the HL that are capable of making the step up!! He did say that it's unrealistic to expect 8 academy players to make the first team but did suggest 4 was achievable. Finally he did say he's got people willing to help out, I presume he means managers that are willing to loan players to us so that we have a good number of squad players. It seems to me that Scott Young, Charlie Christie and Alan Savage are passionate about getting us back to what we were before clown became CEO and that's a community club that can have success on the park, he did also say that a year in the very bottom league might not be a bad thing as it could allow us to climb back up the leagues again. I posted on Facebook last night that I was totally against administration but after watching the coverage of the meeting, I have now performed a U-turn.

I am going to post this as a separate discussion but feel free to merge into the Admin by 16 October discussion if that's what would be best, admins/mods . I have one or 2 questions that I need answered regarding the imminent administration. The first is, how long will we suffer and can we get back to the Championship within 5yrs or so because I seem to recall Hearts and Dundee being able to get out of the mire pretty quickly but I also have a vague recollection of Reading not being able to quite as quickly, in fact I think they may still be suffering a little bit? I really don't want administration as I just don't like the idea of minus 15pts but if it's what Savage wants then we just have to trust his judgement etc, I also fear that nearly ALL of our best players will leave and we'll be stuck with the under 18s which may not be a bad thing tbh but I just can't stomach another relegation, last few have been hard without adding another one to the memory!

https://www.pressandjournal.co.uk/fp/sport/football/inverness-caledonian-thistle/6596639/ketan-makwana-back-caley-thistle-frame/ A bit of a positive quote from this article and I presume it doesn't refer only to Mr Makwana "we have had lots of interest from parties interested in buying the football club" Let's hope we get out of this mess soon because it's so heartbreaking to be in this situation , I have supported this club since 2000 and NEVER have felt as low as this! -

At least Mr Savage is doing a bit of digging into this weirdo **** unlike clowns Morrison/Gardiner! So if he has the funds (however likely that is) then we can all apologise to Mr Makwana ? I may not be the biggest fan of most on here (god knows why ) but I want to know why doesn't Alan Savage just put the club up for sale in order to get the desired response from interested parties etc or is it a lot more complex than "just putting the club up for sale"? Please go easy on me with responses . -

Ah okay, yes we certainly want a club to support! I just don't want -15pts which puts us bottom because League 2 is just unthinkable and tbh if we went there, I would seriously consider giving up on the club, it's bad enough in this league with this manager but it's a lot better than League 2 or even the Highland League! As I said, I really hope that something is done to save us, be it an investor or even Mr Savage himself (I would have him as chairman permanently anyway rather than just in the interim)! -

Anyone that thinks administration would be a "reset" is talking complete bull****, I said it before and I'll say it again. It would be DISASTROUS for the club so why Mr Savage is even contemplating it is baffling especially when he was seen as the saviour . I really hope that some serious investment is found before 16 October because I have had enough of this sh**show now, I really hope Messrs Morrison and Gardiner are proud of themselves for ruining this club . -

Any ideas on who the trialist striker we have in is ?
-
With this Nolan bloke being able to play in Midfield or on the wing, I wonder if that means Billy McKay will play in his more natural position of Striker hence why we didn't sign one . Though I think the Loan window is still open for a wee while yet so we may still see one coming in but tbh I don't think we need one now providing Billy does play up front!
-
Sounds like Alfie Bavidge will come in tomorrow if the P and J article on the Connall signing is anything to go by so if that's the case then it's definitely been a successful window which then heaps the pressure on the gaffer to deliver results . I wonder where the extra money for one more signing than expected came from because at last week's press conference it sounded like DF was only able to sign 2 more which was Paul Allan now Allan yet we're still close to Alfie Bavidge
-
Surely Alan Savage is in a very good position now to run this club until 2027 as he seemed to mention a day or two ago and I for one am here for it . That man must be a hero to EVERY fan of this club .

https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-transfer-news/transfer-news-live-celtic-rangers-33486675 According to this, we have signed Paul Allan so I presume this will be officially announced tomorrow morning at some point like when Musa and Wallace signed . This one seems to have gone unnoticed by many and probably an unexpected signing so I presume the next will be the Striker, most likely Alfie Bavidge. Maybe both will be announced in the morning . It seems that Alan Savage and Charlie Christie are determined to get Duncan Ferguson to succeed otherwise they wouldn't be backing him with signings and helping him out with advice such as playing attacking football . Let's see if he takes heed or will he be stubborn and stick to the tried and tested that failed last season and the start of this! Last week suggests that he is actually willing to change tactics etc in order to succeed so I suppose that is something positive .
