  1. https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-transfer-news/transfer-news-live-celtic-rangers-33486675 According to this, we have signed Paul Allan so I presume this will be officially announced tomorrow morning at some point like when Musa and Wallace signed . This one seems to have gone unnoticed by many and probably an unexpected signing so I presume the next will be the Striker, most likely Alfie Bavidge. Maybe both will be announced in the morning . It seems that Alan Savage and Charlie Christie are determined to get Duncan Ferguson to succeed otherwise they wouldn't be backing him with signings and helping him out with advice such as playing attacking football . Let's see if he takes heed or will he be stubborn and stick to the tried and tested that failed last season and the start of this! Last week suggests that he is actually willing to change tactics etc in order to succeed so I suppose that is something positive .
  2. https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-transfer-news/transfer-news-live-celtic-rangers-33486675 A new face in the squad for tomorrow according to this article from about 10pm.
  3. I reckon young Thompson may be next out on loan especially if we get another Striker or 2 in, though I really hope that it's Cameron Ferguson punted out on loan and I suspect I'm not the only fan with that wish .
  4. Should we be worried about these Portuguese people walking away from the deal if they have to wait 2+ months or I'm I unnecessarily worrying ?
  5. It actually says we're "closing in" on the loan signing .
  6. HT: 1-0 FT: 1-2 (I have faith in us to finally win from a deficit ) 1st Scorer ICT: Debut goal for Alfie Bavidge after signing on loan tomorrow afternoon. 1st Scorer Kelty: Craig Johnston Crowd: 1732.
  7. With today news regarding Alan Savage paying off all of or at least most of the debt a certain past CEO had got us into, I only think it's fair to post something along the lines of what the late and very popular poster/fan would post and that is that the future seems to be a lot brighter now than it was in a VERY LONG TIME . I've seen it mentioned on X that Alan Savage should never have to buy a pint in the City again or maybe that a statue of him needs put up outside the stadium for all the work he's done in ONLY A WEEK to basically save us from administration and another potential relegation due to a -10pt deduction. I also saw one person state that he should remain at the club in some capacity even when the new investment comes in, which looks likely to be Portugal owners of Monza . I've never been this positive in a long time and it's certainly thanks to this messiah so I'm now hoping he and Charlie Christie (with possible help from Sir Alex Ferguson) can work their magic on Duncan Ferguson so that we can at least get back up to the Championship and build from there! As Mr IHE would say, HMS Sneck is back on calmer waters from the rocky sea that we were on not that long ago!
  8. Its funny that you mention that because I'm fairly certain I heard on the 5pm or 5:30pm MFR news Alan Savage mention that we can possibly sign a couple of players before deadline day though that will be difficult so does he now accept or realise that we actually need a couple of more experienced players to mount a real or serious promotion push . I'm still not sure on the management yet but surely Sir Alex knows a good manager when he sees one, he was sort of right on David Moyes who won a European cup with WHU after his disaster at Man U. I did see a lot of positives (albeit only from YouTube highlights) from Saturday, we created a bucket load of chances that weren't taken so if we work on our finishing then we just maybe will turn a corner .
  9. I also don't want to turn this thread into an argument so that's a positive so I'll leave it at that . First of all, I think what you stated about giving the board flak for what we've become is legit because it's about time they understood how much anger we have towards them for the mess they've created, the same should really be aimed at the management team for their part in this said mess and, as you stated a couple of posts ago, they are rightly getting flak for the style of dull and boring football we play so I again think this sort of flak is legit . In reply to the issues @Leaky Blinder had, I remember there was a family section at the club which if I remember correctly was not far up from the away dugout so I'm not sure if that's still there and the @Leaky Blinder didn't know of that because family section would be more child friendly and likely free from this issues of swearing and shouting etc and fwiw I can understand why a young child will be frightened of "cretinous shouting" even if it wasn't in an aggressive manner etc . As I have said above, I'm willing to accept/respect your opinion and move on in respect of the mods who will want to keep this thread on topic and not to upset @Leaky Blinder in any way . As you say, most of our fans are sound people that go to matches to support the team and try and generate an atmosphere to help the players, we certainly don't have thugs that go to cause trouble with violence etc .
  10. What I mean by "mindless idiots" is very clear, I am clearly referring to the ones that FRIGHTENED A YOUNG CHILD so I can be fairly certain that bad language would not frighten a child nor would what I'd call necessary chanting about these duds that you mentioned above, again, words don't frighten children. It's more the manner of these people so maybe it was the fact it was teenagers etc but I can't answer that, that would fall at @Leaky Blinder door to tell us in what way their child felt frightened . As I said there must be a reason why a child would feel frightened and that would come down to "mindless idiots" causing trouble in an aggressive way or maybe the fact that the chants were coming from teenagers etc.
  11. I would be very surprised but certainly glad if he does indeed resign as I have a feeling he's too stubborn/arrogant to realise that it's not working but I suppose if fans are letting their feelings be known then he may a) believe that it's in his best interests to resign or b) he's fearful of the current interim chairman and ceo or new investors sacking him as soon as they can. I forgot one would respect him more if he finally did the right thing by resigning and would wish him all the success in future, most likely back at Goodison in some capacity.
  12. This is exactly why I posted what I did on Thursday night regarding the statement put out yet I also got face palm emojis but I just let it pass as I was expecting them but your post has justified my point of view! It's just not fair on the young kids such as your daughter to feel "frightened" at the stadium due to the antics of some mindless idiots, I just hope it hasn't put your wee one off going to matches!
  13. Come at me all you like because I have a feeling this opinion may not be a sentiment held by everyone. Of course this statement was necessary fgs, we don't want or need fans that are disruptive/drunk etc and just go to cause trouble, you do realise that families attend matches so I'm fairly certain that parents don't want their kids hearing abuse etc heard at the stadium when they are there to enjoy a game of football!! I'm not a parent but I for one certainly WOULD NOT want my children hearing abuse or seeing fellow fans being disruptive if I ever became a parent! Now I know that every club has "these types of fans", there's no getting away from that but what I don't want is our club's reputation getting tarnished by idiots that just go to matches to cause trouble. Again, I know that the vast majority of our fans are genuinely good people that go just for the football and to meet up with friends etc, I get that players/management can maybe come under scrutiny from fans and the players may even get booed off at the end, that's part and parcel of being a football fan. I've said this on many occasions but I really do want to go back to the stadium on a matchday one day in the future but that's currently not achievable at the minute due to work commitments, I really enjoyed when I went to the matches back in the day when we were in the Premiership and even in the championship under Oor Tel and I can honestly say that the atmosphere was really good.

  15. I think we all know this duds time is running out, especially if we get new investment and results don't improve because MOST new owners change manager unless it's going very well in terms of results and league position etc so it's just a case of, how long does he have left . I trust Messrs Savage and Christie with this one, certainly more than I did with clowns Gardiner and Morrison! I also think it may be positive that he's not able to sign anyone else because he'd just sign more dross on loan instead of playing the capable youngsters we have here!
  16. This is the best news to come out of the club in a long time imho, it was imperative that Scot Gardiner went as he's been a DISASTER from start to finish! I fully trust Alan Savage to get this right and find suitable investment for us and, going by one of the local paper reports, things are looking positive on that too . I truly hope that Alan can regain the trust od the local community as he promises but that certainly won't be easy! I'm also saying that next to go needs to be Duncan Ferguson and his assistant but that may not be a decision for now so it's imperative that he's giving some funds to strengthen the club. One thing that confuses me is that "the club have been given a list of places I am keen on (or words to that affect lol) so I've left it in their hands", who was he referring to there, was it this Ketan bloke or Panos who was interim chairman at the time of that quote (just before Saturday) and now in the hands of Alan or are signings not likely now and more likely in January . I am going to finish by saying that I am really confident of having a successful club again, on and off the field!!
  17. I promised most of here about a year ago that I would not do this but I JUST CAN'T ACCEPT where we are and there's only ONE MAN to blame so as the title says, it's time to get Duncan Ferguson to **** TONIGHT otherwise we'll be in the HIGHLAND LEAGUE before too long!! If Ketan Makwana has any sense then he'd see that us as fans are VIRTUALLY DEMANDING that this ***** is sacked otherwise they'll be the only ones at games!! It's been stay in the match day thread from today that this ***** is our WORST EVER manager and I can't disagree with that, even Richie Foran wasn't this bad! I also stated on the Facebook result post that, I believe we got rid of the wrong person because I'd have binned DF and kept Ryan Esson who I KNOW would have 100% got betting performances/results out of these youngsters! It's also imperative that Bollan is binned too because he's not the answer!
  18. And Musa Dibaga the trialist GK from last weekend. https://www.pressandjournal.co.uk/fp/sport/football/inverness-caledonian-thistle/6551993/caley-thistle-boss-chats-to-new-potential-owner-transfer-targets/ It seems that potentially more signings/loans are likely if this article is to go by. Slightly off topic but there's a quote in there that proves my point about not judging KM before he's even started and that is "he's a very positive guy with lots of positive ideas for the club". That is the type of positivity I like to see so let's see if he delivers on this :ictscarf:
  19. Just joined this now as I had forgotten my password for a few days but my memory came back at the start of the week and I totally forgot about the prediction league . I'm determined to have a good season so beware y'all .

  21. Ah a sense of humour, I like that . It's hard to tell from online forums when these sense of humours are coming out but I certainly applaud you for having one :). I suppose being on a podcast, you are required to have a good sense of humour .
  22. Right I'm going to bite because you asked for it lol. Of course you were the first to come out with some as stupid as that because you've had it in for me for a long time but believe me, the feeling certainly isn't mutual because I respect you but you really don't need to be posting drivel like above! The way you comment makes you think that your in favour of administration so please forgive me if I'm totally misunderstood your post , as I said administration is the LAST thing we need as that means a points deduction which just isn't good for the club if we're to have any ambition of a return to the championship and possibly even premiership in the near future!! Oh and another thing, I am prepared to give Mr Makwana the benefit of the doubt unlike a vast majority of posters on this forum, one even a journalist who is well respected in the area ffs!! It's a bit harsh to be claiming he's "dodgy" before he's even taken control of the club just on the basis of research, I'm sure many people claimed Roman Abramovich was dodgy but look at what he delivered for Chelsea! Sorry to aim a rant at Rig but I needed to get it off my chest .
  23. I see on Pie and Bovril forum (that forum is full of numpties btw) one fan is claiming that administration would be THE BEST THING to happen to the club because it makes it easier to get rid of idiot duds/clowns like Scot Gardiner and perhaps Duncan Ferguson and also makes it more likely that Messrs Alan Savage and Douglas McGillivray may come to the rescue in terms of "buying the club" etc. But what that idiot who posted doesn't realise is that administration means points deduction which immediately puts us in a relegation dogfight which this club doesn't need plus it doesn't exactly help mend the reputation we've currently been getting so bearing both points made above, it's imperative that administration DOESN'T HAPPEN I always like to remain optimistic so I'm still pinning hopes on this Mekwana bloke getting the deal approved and then him delivering on his promises to show all the doubters that they were wrong to even question his intentions!
  24. Source is Inverness Courier: Sounds like the next signing could be the Spanish trialist GK that was on the bench today so I presume dud read the article in said paper where Mr Makwana said transfers are available on a case by case basis .
  25. I am of the opinion that I am actually now going to put money into the club by buying merchandise as I usually do with Birthday money (I'm 39 on 12 August ) as I do that most years. I won't change just because of one man, he's only our CEO nothing more, nothing less! Yes I'm not happy with how he's running the club at the moment but that won't influence how I support the club. As I've said on this forum on numerous occasions (mainly to justify my stance on attending ), I work weekends so can't attend matches due to the love of my job :). One day in the not to distant future I hope to be able to attend matches because my dream career job is to work in an outdoor nursery and, incidentally there are 2 in the Inverness/Moray area at Tornagrain and Elgin but my preference is Fort William (that may be slightly off topic so apologies). If I did indeed move down then the next thing to overcome would be my shyness when meeting new people because I would love to meet up with fellow fans either in bars etc before matches or even at matches because, once people get to know me, they grow to like my humorous sense of humour . Hopefully that is a sufficient response to your poll questions @Leaky Blinder because I can't vote due to lack of attendance at matches.
