  1. Past hour
  2. Don’t forget that when teams in 3rd lose, the team currently 4th may well overtake them! We are going home and deservedly so.
  3. Today
  4. It is absurd that Scotland might not know whether they are through or not until the early hours of Sunday morning when Austria and Algeria will play, knowing that a tame draw will see them both safely through. Meanwhile, the team will have to train assuming that they will qualify whilst fans continue to pay money hand over fist to continue staying in the USA in order to support their team in the event of results going their way. I think Scotland will go through. Four of the teams above them still have games to play and could drop below them with defeats, although probably by a couple of goals or more. And realistically, I can only see Belgium and Congo moving above them. In Belgium's group, if they beat New Zealand and Egypt beat Iran, then Iran would go 3rd with just 2 points. It looks like a nervy 3 days.
  5. I think that just about summed it up. Scotland certianly gave it more apparent effort than England did on Tuesday night, but then I suppose Brazil didn't just park the bus. I do hope that the other results mean Scotland can get through. It's still eminently possible, but equally results could go the wrong way (who'd have thought South Africa would beat South Korea) and there are too many variables to predict at the moment.
  6. Plenty of effort but not enough quality and too many mistakes. Not good enough.
  7. If Scotland was a dog you would have it put down to end its suffering. Please god don't let us proceed any further in this competition with this farce of a team.
  8. Sadly outclassed tonight, and how the BBC commentator thinks we still have a chance of qualifying, goodness knows. We can’t gift rap goals like we did on Friday and tonight.
  9. Yesterday
  10. What a shambles up to half time. Why the *%(£ are we playing the ball back and across our own box constantly. It's an absolute horror show.
  11. I’m not convinced there was any interest in bringing Jordan White back. He was strongly rumoured to be joining Aaron Doran at Strathspey when someone said they’d heard we were looking at two County players, then the Cove story started several weeks ago. I liked the 30 minutes that Bates was on the pitch last night. I know it was only a pre-season friendly, but he could be a handful for defenders and an asset to us, as he looked to be good at bringing other players into play. We also had the tall striker on trial last night so we are clearly working on getting strikers in.
  12. Those players under 18 had the logo covered over last night.
  13. I too like a flutter on the footy. Actually ended up in profit last season [thank you Stevenage] but I wouldn't advertise. So many people are affected by gambling and lots of other things including booze. It's a personal choice of course. I've not bought a team shirt for a good few seasons now, I find them far to expensive for what they are and stick to the casual / leisurewear range.
  14. Maybe we were interested but our offer was just too meagre? It’s not an encouraging sign for me that it appears our ‘pot’ is ring-fenced in the hope it’s enough to encourage Alfie B (or some Celtic kid) to sign another years loan deal. It’s a risk in that it limits our ability to tie down other potential strikers as we wait on Alfie B & ABN to make their mind up. (Good chance others are interested and they are waiting to see what the biggest pot is tabled). I wish big Jordan well at Cove. He will definitely be an asset for them. Just my tuppence worth, bc
  15. Phew! Dodged a bullet there. Jordan White signs for Cove Rangers on a 2 year deal.
  16. Probably a disgruntled ex-county fan who follows the highest placed side in the Highlands. If he enjoys a moan so much, then he should have carried on following the lot up in Dungwall - he would have plenty to moan about now! 🤣
  17. It'll be the law - gambling and U18s etc. The test of ethics and sponsor influence wil be if there is an option not to have it on adult shirts. I personally like a bet and have no problem with it, but there are others who don't on principle or who have addiction issues (either themselves or famiy members).
  18. Last week
  19. So now we know the trialists were: Joe Walters, Daniel Mackay and Hamzad Kargbo 👍.
  20. I know we probably have some crazy posters on here but by god p and b is the worst forum for deluded fans 😂. Some guy (who's always accused of being AI btw) is wanting us to sign experienced players like Oli Shaw and raging that he went to Dunfermline instead of us. Even better is he is moaning when we DO sign strikers, which he has been crying out for FFS! There is just no pleasing some people!! I don't know the guy but he is some laugh on there with his rants.
  21. He was playing wide left tonight.
  22. Smart. Uncontentious.
  23. I didn’t want to name him until others confirmed it was who I thought it was: Dan Mackay.
  24. Has Roddy Macgregors contract expired?
  25. We dont know 14......
  26. Only trialist 15 played the whole game, with him finishing at right back. A useful work out but some rustiness. Of the youngsters, Sam Thompson was controlling things in midfield, with Archie Kerr and Jake Rodgers looking promising. Bates was lively and could well be an asset for us. Not sure about the big no 20, but trialist 15 looked promising, while we all do know no 14!!
  27. The ref is letting most things go, and we got caught not playing to the whistle at the Nairn goal when Shinnie was fouled in the build up. Bates is on now as Longstaff extends our lead from a direct free kick.
  28. 18' | 0-1 GOAL! Trialist opens the scoring (No 20) Clearance blocked and he scored with a near-post shot. 21' | 0-2 GOAL! Paul Allan scores after ball played through out wide which was cut back and slotted away. 34 | 0-2 Good move from Nairn County as Calum MacKay's effort comes off the post. 41’ | 1-2 Goal Nairn! Ball is won in the middle of the park by Kenny McKenzie and plays through Calum Mackay who puts it past the keeper. 45+| 1-2 Shae Keogh sees his effort held right on the stroke of half time HALF TIME: 1-2 ICTFC Subs at the break: Ross Munro, Luis Longstaff and Liam Sole on Logan Ross, Shae Keogh and Trialist (No 14) off 47' | 1-2 Good ball from Adam Mackinnon finds Trialist (No 20) in the box and his effort is just over. 53' | 1-2 ICTFC Sub: Morgan Bates on, Trialist (No 20) off 63' | 1-3 GOAL! Luis Longstaff's free-kick finds the bottom corner from the edge of the box. FULL TIME: 1-3 Looks like everybody got some game time.
  29. Half time: Nairn 1-2 ICT.
