Lee Cox injury update

Doesnt sound good:

Caley Thistle midfielder Lee Cox is to see a specialist on August 1 about a groin problem which is refusing to clear up.

The former Leicester City player has had his training restricted and manager Terry Butcher revealed:"Lee's not been making progress so we've arranged his visit to a specialist.

"Sadly, it looks like he'll not just miss Saturday's home game with Hibs, but be sidelined for a few weeks yet. It's a real pity for us and the lad."

Cox, who recently turned 21, has made 52 appearances in his two seasons with Caley Jags, scoring five goals. His classy prompting has been a big asset and fans will wish Lee a speedy recovery as he faces a delayed start to his campaign.

New signing Gregory Tade, however, shook off his injury problem in time to play at Motherwell and is poised to make his home debut against Hibs.

"I thought Gregory did very well, which is encouraging", said Butcher, who hopes that a full week's training will further improve the ex Raith Rovers hitman's fitness in time for the visit of the Easter Road club.

Tade hit 13 goals in his 68 appearances for Raith and before that he rattled in 19 goals in 50 outings for Stranraer so Caley Jags home fans will be looking forward to seeing the big Frenchman in action.

We could certainly do with Cox back in the side to add some steel in midfield. If Butcher is to continue with the midfield diamond formation then Cox sitting deep and Tansey playing further forward could be a productive line up IMO

Hope he's back soon, a good and important player for us.

Better to get sorted now than struggle on..... Hopefully he will get the right op and then get back to full fitness

Just need to keep him away from women for a couple of weeks.
