(Another new name to get used to!)

This thread could be a place to post match dates, venues, KO times, previews, reports, observations etc. for our (U20s) games this coming season. I know the Renegades and caleydawsons (and others) are regulars at these games and it's always interesting to hear their thoughts.

CaleyD reported on another thread that 5 'over-age' players may be permitted for this re-branded league.

Another change I can see is that there are going to be 17 teams involved - that's a busy 32 game season.

The 12 Premiership clubs are supplemented by Hearts, Hibernian, Falkirk and The Rangers from the Championship with League One's Dunfermline Athletic also involved.

The season starts (for us) on August 5th - next Tuesday!

  • We do have a very (comparatively) young/inexperienced "development" squad (over half of them having just made the step up) and this season is being viewed as being thrown in at the deep end and result

65 | A sub for both teams as Paul Simpson and Stephen Rennie leave the field to be replaced by Kyle Lander and Andrew Macrae.

How come Kink or Ofere aren't being used in these games?

77 | Ryan Baptie is replaced by Kane Hull. 4-0 Saints.

FT | A fantastic team performance by all this evening see's Saints Youth side produce a 4-0 victory over @ICTFC. Match Report to follow.

I'm a bit concerned about our lack of depth as our dev squad seem to get pumped almost every week.

A very young squad this year it seems. A lot of the lads played for the u17 squad last season.

And this seasons U17's

Game tonight at TCS 6pm K.O. against St Mirren

Good to see Dean Brill was back playing today. Tarmo Kink was also in the team.

I was there last night.  Thought Vincent, Polworth and Sutherland were reasonable enough, as was the number 7 who looks about 4"9!

Can't say I was overly impressed by Tarmo Kink though.

Would that have been Rennie, he probably played on the wing or through the middle

He was playing through the middle mainly but did pull wide from time to time.  Very fast and tricky by the looks of things.

By the sounds of it, that is Stephen Rennie young lad in his first year for U20's played quite a few games mainly coming off the bench however.

Inverness Caley Thistle v Partick Thistle - Highland Football Academy, 6pm

The game has been shifted to the TCS.

Inverness team: MacKay, Stark, Howarth, Brown, Baptie, Horner, Wilson, Polworth, Blackett, Ferguson, Sutherland

Inverness subs: Hoban(g/k), Brown, Rennie, Hull, MacRae, MacLeod

PT appear to have the wind on their side in the first half after the first clearance by our goalkeeper struggles to make 35 yards

PT the stronger side but after around 25 minutes it's still 0-0

As always, thanks for your updates!

1-0 PT unmarked in the box the Partick player slots it in.
