Surely the biggest argument against the League split is that it stops any teams in the lower half of the table making a late bid for Europe. With Hibs on 56 points and us on 52, it could have been a really exciting end to the season (and a whole lot more interesting than the us vs. Motherwell vs. Aberdeen for sixth battle).
