Club Statistician

Is there an official club statistician?  You sometimes see a fact in the papers that is so and so's 200th appearance.

Where does that come from?

Ian Broadfoot has been keeping meticulous records since 1994 that went hand in hand with his official match reports. However, he "retired" at the end of last season.

He still keeps the stats, and provides them to the club, media and website(s) but no longer does match reports. Fiona now does those for the club and we try to cobble something together each week either from ourselves or from contributions of users

By the end of this season I hope to have our stats software up to date and this will give the same basic stats that Ian provided.

As a recipient and user of Ian's stats since 1994, I have to say that they are absolutely superb and he is excellent at keeping the media informed of landmarks etc. He even identified when the 2 millionth league spectator arrived. He is also doing a similarly sterling job with Clach now.

"A sterling job with Clach".

So do you think he knows how much rent they Really owe Charles ? :33:
