Chester Dispute

Morning Chaps

Greetings from the lower reaches of League 2 in Englandshire. I was reading about your little dispute with Chester City and I thought you might be interested to know that Chester are not exactly angeleic themselves. Their chairman / owner also used to own Barrow and when Chester were a non league club Chester drew Barrow in the FA cup. The rules state that you can't have clubs competing against each other who are owned by the same person so what did he do? He sold Barrow on the Friday before the game to his window cleaner and then bought it back again on the Monday after the game.

That is what you are dealing with I am afraid - wher Chester are concerned the rules are very much one way. We (Bury) fell foul of this sometime ago when we got kicked out of the FA Cup for fielding an ineligible player - yes, it was our fault but let's just say that Chester took full advantage of the situation.

Anyway, rant over. Best wishes for the rest of the season - have a good one. :sillywave:

at least we arent the only mismanaged club :020:

I doubt any of the Chester first team would have a sniff at anything other than SPL reserve football.

I once went to Bury on the Northern outskirts of Manchester as I recall/?

Geez, I wonder what happened to her? :016:
