I fear it will be more than just blackie and cowie that go, but if this potential disaster is to happen, who is going to replace them? if we cant afford to keep these guys then that means we're not going to be able to afford to bring in guys of the same quality surely?

Even in todays Courier Bennett says the players were offered new contracts only in October, and from memory, the club made a big deal of waiting to the October international break before sitting down with the players.

Beginning as in beginning, middle, end. We are now approaching the middle of the season.

Vigurs could replace Blackas they are very similar

as for Fraser and Wilson i feel it is no bad thing if either leave, Barry has been a great servant to the club but i'm just not sure he is up 2 SPL standards

as for cowie we have a major hole to fill if he leaves

Danny Rose plays for Newport County AFC, he would be well worth a look, primarily left footed but can kick with both feet, spent 5 years learning his trade at Man Utd. Young lad with plenty of promise and has been drilled to play the right way, tidy on the ball with very good distribution.
