I had a thoroughly enjoyable day yesterday at my first game. Shame I didn't get to witness the win that I thought we deserved. The Dumfries locals were generally pretty friendly and welcoming, especially the two ground staff that allowed me in to take pictures of the stadium in the morning. The atmosphere in the away end was really good. The drummer and the rest of the young lads around him really made a difference. It's great to see the next generation of fans showing enthusiasm and travelling to games. I hope everyone that travelled had a good journey back. 3 stand out players for me, for what my humble opinion is worth, were Liam Sole, Calum Macleod and Remi Savage. Liam Sole was a menace to the opposition defence all afternoon and looks to be a crowd pleaser, always positive and looking to drive forward and get the ball in the box. Calum Macleod was solid and strong all afternoon and this was all the more impressive when I learned he is only 19. Remi Savage was dominant at the back both in the air and on the deck. He looked very sharp for a centre back and was first to the ball on a number of occasions. I got a few pictures which I will look to upload.
  2. Good morning, This is a special message to Caley Jags living in London and South East England. As a bit of a surprise, I gave this new flag an outing on Saturday. Sadly, where the stewards got me to put it was somewhere they probably knew full well would be covered over by a block of fans that they moved in front of it. See photo with pink arrow. The flag was nestling there. That said - I would like to do a flag exchange. I cannot get to loads and loads of games. This is because I am long term sick (and have burned some of my PIP money to go lol). So, if anyone is going up at any time let me know and we can do a flag exchange and have the Caley Jag diaspora represented. I can meet more or less anywhere in the TfL zone. I have a pack of bungee ties - with plastic ends. 👀 And thinking ahead...if there ends up being two or three or more of us - be great, at that point, if we could ask the Supporters Trust to form an official branch. It’s a bit more complicated. The player with the most votes in each game gets 5 points second gets 3 and third gets 1 point. That’s for the PotY and it’s added up for the season. For the PotM it’s total number of votes in the month. All I have to do is put the scores in a spreadsheet that Eric Davidson created press calculate and I get the results 😃 It’s all a bit of fun but the more people vote the better it is.
  4. Blimey...just seen Alonge's goal! Massive contribution to charge forward from his own half, then hold the ball up right on the outside of the penalty area, plays the ball wide to a team, gets right into the box, out climbs the player and places the ball perfectly. Looking more and more like a canny signing
  5. After Aberdeen's spectacular collapse, having led the Premiership for a while last season, it's great to see Hearts continuing to lead the pack against the (financial) odds, well past the halfway point this season. Can they hang on and finally break the Old Firm strangle-hold? Think we had some sort of alliance with them a few seasons back - can't remember what it was all about but good enough for me, I am now an unashamed glory-hunting Hearts supporter for the rest of the season - anything to break the dominance of the Gruesome Twosome! Disclaimer: Of course ICT is still my big team! 😅

Morning. I didn't get to reply to you coz I have caleythistleonline on my laptop at home. I ended up sitting in the front. Away allocations for seats are quite free and easy. As for 'allocated seating' - poor Queens couldnt have sold all their seats in section 7-9 anyhow - because half of them had rusted shut. It was the first time I gave an outing to a flag I've had made (see photo). Coz of the rusted seats this presumably forced a block of Caley Jags over to have sit in section 9 - that was to be kept clear and thus the flag was supposed to be on display! hahah Was a pretty good match though. I will be at the PSG Sarens next week for us v East Fife.
  7. Reminds me a little of Jimmy Calderwood who used to get ripped in sketches by Jonathan Watson on only an excuse.
