  1. 1st division - I'm already looking forward to the season starting which I haven't for the past couple of seasons. Stroll on!
  2. That's disgusting!
  3. Go on Phil, sign the contract ICT have offered. You'd instantly be a fans favourite and would thrive at this club, look at the likes of Dods, Brown and Wyness who were struggling before a few seasons at ICT. You'd do well with us in this division and there is the chance of a hell of a promotion party at the end of the season and you will have played a massive part in it. At least give it a season with us, if you do well and we don't get promoted it's highly likely you'll have raised your profile (and price!). Inverness is a great place to be and ICT a great club - go on write yourself into the ICT history books, you'd be in good company. If you choose to go elsewhere, all the best (but you know you'll secretly always regret it!). :P
  4. Really? He's already proved he likes being at ICT and shown some loyalty. If we were to get promoted I reckon he'd stay with ICT and Butcher. Also the other many SPL teams (Don's and arabs) are too short on money after the Setanata issues to spend on anything other than frees. We'd be able to offer more than we can in the first as well. Anyway it's a hypothetical discussion, only time will tell.
  5. If Morias signs I don't think we'd need any more additions.
  6. If we just miss out? Nobody. This is probably the hardest in Scotland to get out of (in the upward direction that is). Let's put out the blame flame eh. I'm looking forward to the first div. Terry n June in charge, Foran, Esson and Obhiambo in the red and blue... bring them all on!
  7. Does anyone know what livvy's average attandance is?
  8. He may do well in the 1st division and with the manager having belief in him. I hope so anyway! Time will tell I guess...
  9. I voted Rossco too but I think Esson would be a very good choice. I like Grant but I think it'd be best to take the pressure off him and let him concentrate on his game more. I think that'd be beneficial all round.
  10. You can - but they'll just get upset.
  11. The fecker is moderating himself I guess!
  12. I take it he wasn't at pre-season training?
  13. Have we ever played Elgin since they joined the SFL?
  14. Angus is the name of the (aberdeen angus) Bull that the dons have. And C*unty are the staggies, so the an 'angus the stag' doesn't really appeal on any level. Did we not have a dolphin once? That's be more appropriate. Unique (in Scotland) at least.
  15. Congrats and all the best, again sorry I couldn't make it.
  16. Nope. Most of our squad is already in place and holding off for a bit longer we see some what some SPL teams do regarding the Setanta/money situation whih may be of benefit. Patience good sir, patience!
  17. Yeah has to be Harry's team above: Calder Teasdale Mann Christie Wilson Stewart But give Richie the second half - my God we'd score a hatful! And I'd be there to drink the beer... it's a dirty job but someone's got to do it!
  18. Craig Brewsters managerial career died at ICT.
  19. Have to disagree. A keeper is part of that defense and when the 4 in front mess up then he is called into action to do what a goalkeeper should. Fraser continually f**ked up, the season before last season we conceded goals against St.Mirren and Gretna because he failed to stop tame shots and he showed no improvement this season. You can pick whaetever goals you wish that "if whoever hadn't let in" all you want, we were a better team and had a more confident defense with Esson. I wish Fraser all the best but he will not be missed.
  20. They like him 'cos he got us relegated. WOC - it's a bit like bank managers or chairmen of big corporations that screw up - they just get offered another job with loads of cash again. Go figure!
  21. 1. Pele 2. Robbo 3. Charlie 4. Butcher (although he has the chance to go higher up the list) 5. Baltacha 6. Brew
  22. If he hadn't played in those games at the end of the season I firmly believe that we would NOT be playing in the first division next season.
  23. I haven't read all of this topic so not sure if it should have been merged, but hey. Caley_D - i never said we should ignore the clubs problems/short-comings, I just feel that a lot of what is posted is just negative for the sake of being negative. There is a LOT I'd like to see change at the club but that wasn't the intentions of my post. (which is why I don't think it should be merged)
  24. Maybe not but some stability would be welcome. We'll see I guess. Besides I never said we'd go straight back up. I certainly hope so though mate!
  25. There is soooo much negativety on this site regarding our club at the moment that I rarely read an entire thread and generally just don't visit this site too much anymore. Folks, football has changed. It's changed forever and the game in Scotland is still in a very transitional period. We were relegated and in my mind this is in huge part to Brewsters involvement, there are obviosly other factors - we can blame the board for keeping him too long, for re-appointing him, blame Butcher for playing Mike Fraser in the last few games, etc, etc, etc. These things don't really matter and blame gets us nowhere. Whichever way you put it we are playing in the first division next season and fans want news on contracts and signings, etc. Let the club get on with it. We are not going to splash the cash like Dundee, and that is IMO a good thing, every team in Scotland that spends too much has always had it eventually backfire on them. I think one of the major issues that has affected our team in the past few years is consistency. We have not had a manager in place for an entire season in the past 5 seasons. We are club that needs stability. Again we can debate the reasons for this but it doesn't matter. We are a team at the same level as St.Mirren, St.Johnstone, Dunfermline, Falkirk, etc. We will get promoted to the SPL and we will get relegated, we will get promoted, we will get relegated. We're going to be a yo-yo team but as fans lets not start demanding the unreasonable. The game is in a state of change and one HUGE advantage and something I thank the board for (there are many changes at board level I'd like to see but that's not relevant) is that we are a solvent club. I don't want to see us spend what we cannot afford, over the next few season I'm sure we'll see some clubs fold for good. Let's be thankful and greatful this is not on the cards for us. Personally I'm looking forward to the 1st division for a number of reasons and my enthusiasm for ICT and club football got a huge boost when TB was appointed, I think he's the right man to take us forward and believe he will. I'm also more enthusiastic about the first division than the SPL (which if I'm honest surprised me). Players will leave - let them. We'll sign others who want to be at ICT. When did we turn into continually whining old-firm a-likes? Bring on the new season, who gives a toss how much money dundee spend. ICT is your club - at least try and enjoy it. When the dust finally settles on the financial issues in Scottish football I'm pretty sure we'll still be in a good shape and in much much better than many clubs bigger and better than us. (now I'm going for a pint!)
